The house is privately owned and it's where many of the things from the Liberace Museum now reside. The tour I took was lead by Jonathan Warren, an expert on the life of Liberace. He's also is an expert in describing the Liberace items in the mansion. The tour lasted three hours and was very informative. The whole hacienda is not covered but the section closest to Palomino Lane is where the Liberace memorabilia is located. Reservations must be made for the tour. I was the only person yesterday because some that were scheduled needed to change their tour date. It was a fantastic tour. I had been to the Liberace Museum before it closed, but I never would know what I do now because of Mr. Warren's encyclopedic memory!

Standing there with his happy little face (I am guessing it's a boy cat, but who knows?), it's a total mood lifter amid the city's neon chaos. Snowball is an unofficial city mascot, especially to those of us creative types who frequent the downtown Arts District. Perfect for a quick selfie or just to take in some fun street art, Snowball's got a playful energy that makes it impossible not to smile. His tongue is sticking out and his squinting eyes have the cutest expression ever (and one that most cat parents will recognize). Snowball's oversized ears are the icing on the cake.  I love public art and I personally think it's worth the trip downtown to pay Snowball a visit. It's a fun, quirky statue that's free and open to all, 24/7.

We were driving down Fremont Street towards The Fremont Experience when I commented on how beautiful the lights are... some are suspended across the street in a zigzag fashion and other lights come from neon signs... Like this "VEGAS" sign! Downtown Las Vegas is really historic and unique!

A definite must see when visiting. Others are mentioning size of the space. When speaking to staff,…read morethey are aware that they need more space and are actively working to find a new spot. As with anything, it takes time and money. I've also read reviews about how there were signs not lit or without descriptions. Again, in talking with staff it costs thousands and takes significant time to restore these signs. While it's in Vegas, it's still a museum that relies on visitors and donations. It's no more expensive than the museums in Pittsburgh. We went at 9:45 and it was so worth it. I loved reading about the history of the signs and chatting with staff about them. Make sure to ask questions, as the staff are so knowledgeable.

There were no walking tours available on the date/time we were able to go, but I actually enjoyed strolling through the open air museum at our own pace. There are actually a lot of signs you can read by certain neon displays, and also an informational guide you can follow along with online, so I actually didn't feel like we missed out that much, although I'm sure the tour guide would enhance the experience! There were still employees around who were really nice about answering questions. We took a lot of great pictures here, and it was a memorable experience and something you can't really see outside of Vegas. I wish it weren't as expensive, and with each thing (the guided tour, and brilliant show) costing extra on top of the admission as well as the Lyft for the trip out here since it's far removed from everything else, it can get really expensive.

It's been decades since the last time I visited the Fort. I'm impressed with the improvements. I…read morevisited the Fort for the Pollinator event, so there was much to see and experience. The museum displays are educational and interesting. The koi pond and walking trail is very pleasant. There are established fruit trees and a garden area. The tortoise were in their shelter within the habitat, so I didn't get an opportunity to see them during my visit. I would look forward to attending more events here.

Journey To The West is a magnificent sculpture based from a Chinese novel. It's located in…read moreChinatown Plaza and there's ample parking. According to the plaque, it describes the novel as "the amazing adventures of Priest Xuanzang and his three disciples, the irreverent monkey, the greedy but lovable pig, and a hardworking river goblin as they go on the journey in search of Buddhist sutras." Furthermore, "In spite of all the trials and tribulations along the way, they are successful in reaching their goal" which is "the Palace in Western Heaven where the Buddha lives." It's a rather interesting story and the sculpture is a lovely representation of the novel!

Beautiful statue of depicting the 5 main characters from Journey to the West (西遊記) in the Las Vegas…read moreChinatown Plaza. Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Tang Sanzang, Sha Wujing, and White Dragon Horse. Although Las Vegas Chinatown is very tiny, this statue makes it unique for this specific Chinatown. As a Chinese kid growing up a big fan of 西遊記 and watching different adaptations of the story, this statue is most definitely worth taking pictures and videos of.
