Worst maintained public high school track and grounds I have ever experienced. Dangerous for athletes. Junk, trash, tall weeds and completely uncared for grounds. A DEAD RAT fell out of the ceiling in the child development room. Half the speakers don't work during the announcements. We can't carry our backpacks around school making it impossible to get to class on time. The bathrooms are moldy. The water fountains are lead infested and the water that comes out is visibly dirty and foggy. The catwalk in the auditorium creaks when you walk on it. They refuse to turn the heat on in the winter because they're too cheap. The chicken nuggets are somehow both rock hard and bounce when you throw them?? Teachers constantly leave because their pay is so poor. There are ants infesting the foods room that crawl INTO THE OVEN and get BAKED INTO THE FOOD. There are holes in the floor in the locker rooms. Understaffed classrooms meaning that every class has at least 25+ kids in a very small angular school room. Lights fall from the ceiling while in use. The hall monitors will follow you into the bathroom to see if you have a hall pass and will TALK TO YOU AS YOU ARE PEEING. There was a snake in the World History room. Half the people at this school wear confederate flags and have no idea what it represents at all. Overall, very crappy. Liberty somehow has a reputation as one of the "best schools in Carroll County" though it is actually one of the worst. read more

The building is falling apart. When I went there, I went to the guidance office to ask for help for a friend who had recently confided in me that they were suicidal. I told the receptionist this and was then asked if it was "an emergency" or if my SUICIDAL FRIEND could wait for a more opportune time. I have been to the counselling office many times over the years on the behalf of friends who were suffering from serious mental health issues, and every time, absolutely jack shit is done except calling the parents once. No follow-up appointments, no assistance when the parents refuse to help or are clearly abusive, just the bare minimum legally required of them. The teachers clearly care about their jobs as educators (well most of them, anyway), but I witnessed many leave over my four years there due to the incredibly low pay and general disrespect. For teacher appreciation week one year, an art teacher was asked (told) the night before to make a paper star for every single faculty member (around 80-100), criticised when the stars were too irregular, and then not credited for their work, with the administration instead accrediting themselves with the work it took to cut out every star, write names on them, and hang them up in the front lobby. This is just one example of the extreme disrespect the administration has for its teachers, much less the students. There is black mould in the ceiling, the water is discoloured, metallic in flavour, and palpably chunky, there are rats and ants everywhere in the building, the custodians regularly neglect to clean above the bare minimum (and even then, one teacher confided in me that they only use disinfectant and water, so we have very dirty, but "sanitary" railings and door handles with tangible and visible grease buildup due to neglect), and the Admin has proven time and time again that it does not give a rat's ass. read more

Always dirty, food is terrible, and the teachers clearly hate their jobs, the teachers have student favoritism thus making the education for students a nightmare, there is also the fact the "counselors" don't help with the mental health of students, they make it very obvious that their job is to get you back to class as soon as possible instead of actually consoling and calming students down. And the water from the water fountain is visibly dirty and there have been multiple reports or lead in it which doesn't make me feel safe to even drink water. And I have never seen so much mold in one place, it's on the ceiling and in the bathrooms. And not to mention the bullying that never gets resolved. Terrible school, would rather not go there but I'm required by law to go there. read more
