The staff is very helpful and willing to assist at the nursery or during deliveries. We did encounter an issue trying to sign up to the rewards program they have, but hope to clear that up next time in there. We are extremely pleased with Liberty's service and final product. They transformed our yard from what was a mess to a place to go outside to relax and enjoy. They did the backyard, the two sides of the house and an area in the front yard. Additionally, they made a lot of adjustments to the sprinkler system. The shining star in this process was the designer Bruno! Exactly what a company needs to represent them. He asked a ton of questions before he drew up a blueprint showing what plants to put where. When we moved into our new home on the water, it did not take long before the native landscaping we thought we would like, was overgrown with weeds and erosion. I only discovered that they were not coming after I called for status. Got rescheduled for the following weekend. Again! No show, no call. They put businesses ahead of the home user. I will start out by saying they did a good job on the landscaping on our new house. My issue with them was in their business practices. They started out by providing a plan and an invoice for what they were planning to do. The plan was over my budget had contained more plants then I needed. I asked them to eliminate plants in certain areas. No problem they said and submitted another plan with the extra plants gone from it and assured me this would be reflected on my final invoice. I then went over the plan a second time and asked for more cuts and was once again provided with a modified plan which seemed to reflect my wishes. A few months later, I got the final invoice from my builder and lo and behold, the amount on the original invoice was submitted with no deductions. I then questioned them on this and was surprised to find that the plants were not eliminated as I had asked, but were simple shifted to other places in the plan which were hard to spot by someone without a trained eye. So my advice to anyone using their services would be to make sure any change in plans they submit is accompanied by a modified quote/invoice so that you know exactly what you are paying for. read more

Well when you live in Florida you need the experts to tell you what you have growing and what you need to kill a specific bug invader on your orange trees and Liberty comes thru for me each time. I am trying to keep my yard as organic as possible meaning no harsh chemical toxins to the soils or plants so I really rely on the experts here to guide me on what to buy. Yes the products are more expensive than the standard walk into HD and get a chemical and kill everything store, but I am trying my best to do go to the earth and the creatures. If we poison the flowers and the trees, the bees will also be poisoned. No bees means no pollination. My neighbor has a large lake full of koi and I would hate for any run off to hurt his fish so you can eliminate the torrent of grasshoppers and aphids etc without messing up the environment. It just might cost a few bucks more. read more

I've used LLS several times each time they got progressively worse. 1st 2 deliveries good to go. Drivers professional, product solid. After that........They crushed my mailbox, delivered a partial order waited til I asked where the rest of my order was to tell me they didn't have it in stock. Then still didn't deliver it until I called them back and complained that I didn't get my delivery. Then they did the exact same thing with another partial delivery. This time they called me to tell me they had the rest of my order in. But failed to deliver it. So I called them again. This time they delivered it and dumped it blocking my detach garage instead of on the large piece of plastic that I put out in the front yard where I told them to deliver it. Customer service is great. We purchased some river rock. We learned a lot about how rock is harvested. The manager took a lot of time to discuss the process and made sure we had enough rock for our project. He said we would be happy when we put it down. He was right. It's looking great. 1.5 means nothing larger gets through. Not all pieces are at least 1.5. The rock varies significantly in size but the variations do make it look more natural. read more

On a recent return visit to Liberty Landscaping in Fernandina, I was greeted by one of their associates named Carly. Carly inquired what type of trees etc. I might be interested in and I responded that I was looking for a Queen Palm and maybe some citrus trees. Carly help me pick out a nice Queen Palm tree, showing me what to look for to get the best results with my location etc. Then Carly asked about what type of citrus tree I was specifically looking for. I told her that I was looking to replace a lemon tree that had died and some other issues I was experiencing with some Orange and Grapefruit trees. We decided on a nice Lemon tree that Liberty had in stock. Carly stated that she has achieved many accreditations for proper care of various trees and pests that may cause harm to them. Carly offered to look at the trees - no charge. After looking at the leaves on the trees she determined that I had developed some type of pests eating away at my trees. Carly came up with a plan of action and it has been two weeks and the trees are rebounding already. Carly has checked back twice to see how things are progressing. FOLLOW UP....POST 2 MONTHS SHAME ON ASHLEY AND LIBERTY LANDSCAPE SUPPLY The Date Palms I purchased 2 months ago developed a fungus - black spots all over the leaves. Ashley at Liberty Landscaping told me to purchase a Liquid Copper Fungicide and spray it on the leaves. She said the leaves infected would not recover or be green again. The fungus is on all the leaves so now I have 2 month old trees ($2500) that look dead. When I asked her how to spray 12ft trees she told me to buy a ladder. Really Ashley? I am over 60 and have MS and you expect me to climb a ladder and spray trees that are covered in fungus which were purchased from Liberty Landscaping two months ago. read more

We found Jeff T. to be a walking tree and plant encyclopedia. He patiently repeated information on the different species as he assisted us to form a landscaping plan. On another visit Johnny helped us pick out the individual palms. He enthusiastically pointed out the best aspects of each tree. When we lacked a shade tree to meet city code, someone in the office worked the phone to find one to transfer in from one of their Jacksonville locations. The installation team of Adam & Santiago arrived right on time, worked steadily and patiently repositioned the trees to our preferences. They were considerate of the surrounding area. Adam was a wealth of information for planting and maintaining the trees. He went above and beyond to educate us on maintenance. I have been going to Liberty Landscaping for my plants and landscaping needs since I moved into a home in Fernandina beach for the past 2 years. Love their plant guarantee, which they deliver on in the rare instance I've needed to use it. There is a more recent employee I've been working with in the past 6 months, CARLY. She. Is. Amazing. Has elevated the care I receive from them to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. She helped look at all my past plant purchases to determine which ones to cover before the freeze and how aggressive I needed to be with supplies. Several months later, she came out to my home for a consultation as after the hurricane surge I've been struggling with a lot of plants in my yard to pests. She provided a full report after taking some samples and notes with recommendations which I'm currently in the process of doing. So far things are looking up. :) We've also been in regular contact about different varieties of blueberries as I've been looking to expand my edible collection and she personally reaches out when new items arrive. People need to read the "not recommended" reviews on this place. I am really disappointed with their customer service and people should be careful working with them. When we purchased our garden plants from them, they acted so charming and promised that if any of them died that they would replace them. They were very attentive and talked a big game. That's until things went wrong. We've had several plants, which they recommended as being compatible with our area, die. When we called them, they delayed and told us they would call back until finally the warranty period was up and then has tried to send us a quote to plant new ones. To add insult to injury, they have been extremely condescending and rude during calls. Stay away from these guys. read more

I know there's always someone that is not satisfied with a company for their own reasons. I thought Liberty was the only nursery around. I would never go back unless they had what others did't have. My husband went to buy a lime tree from Liberty, planted it when he got home. I went out to see, it was deceased. I asked who did you buy this tree from and explained to him the problem. He went up there the next day to talk to them. Not only did they not replace the tree, no they had HIM buy (not on them) treatments. It did not save the tree and took it back to them. Bottom line... their thought 'too bad so sad.' A friend of mine worked there for a very short time. I believed she was asked to work behind a desk and that's not what she was hired to do. But she said the owner was a nice guy and should go tell him your experience. I did. He sat and listened. If it were my company I would have asked 'what do we need to do to get your business'. He didnt really care. He has enough and he apparently doesnt need mine. Liberty bought out Trads, in Jacksonville, which I use to love to go to. One of the nicest nurseries. But not anymore. I rather drive to Atlanta, when I visit my son, and buy plants from Pikes. They have the best policies and would have NEVER responded as this company did. As I later found out, he may be on the busiest road for advertising but there are plenty other nurseries around. Do yourself a favor and go to more than this big company. Support the small guys. Their prices are usually better and better service. read more

I selected and purchased 4 - 30 gal Bald Cyprus Trees, one 100 gal Live Oak tree and one 30 gal Crepe Myrtle on Feb 22nd and paid for the trees and installation ($2,800.00). I specifically selected trees based upon their shape and size. I was told the installation would be sometime towards the end of March. I went by the lot the week of March 19th to look and make sure all the trees were still there. All the Bald Cypress were sold and gone, the Crepe Myrtle was sold and gone and the 100 gallon Live Oak was on the property but with a sold tag with someone else's name. The name on the Live Oak was changed to my name and they had to scramble to find replacement trees. The replacement trees were pulled together from other locations and promised to be planted March 31st. The replacement trees arrived for planting as scheduled on March 31st and planted professionally. A couple of Bald Cypress trees did not have the desired shape I originally bought. I have followed their recommendation of watering the trees faithfully every day for 30 days. After a few weeks I noticed the leaves on one of the trees were turning brown (about one third). All the others look great. I called and Liberty came out today and said to water the tree by filling up the berm three consecutive times twice daily. Give it some time and let us know down the road if it doesn't improve (their policy). It seems a tree must be dead before they will replace it. A tree 1/3 dead is still a good tree according to their policy. Not sure I will use them or recommend them in the future. read more
