I'm a property manager so I can spot good work. Sergiy isn't just above average, he's really at the top of his field. I mean it. I can't say enough good things about him. Workmanship. It's a pain to rehang out the door. Or, if something is slightly unlevel, to rip it out and start over costs a lot of time/money. And, if the homeowner will not notice until the job is long gone and finished, why bother? But, Sergiy apparently doesn't think this way. Without my prodding (which is really unusual), Sergiy was starting things over because he wanted to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail is amazing. I've used tons of contractors over the years and I was impressed. I kid you not. You're seriously getting Rolex quality for Casio prices (I have nothing against Casio.). Honesty. Contractors are notorious for trying to cut corners and using cheap materials. Everything to make an additional buck. I can confidently say that Sergiy will not do this. For example, I had Sergiy buy some materials for me. For some of the excess material he didn't use, he could have just kept it and not said anything. It wasn't much. And extra paintbrush or outlet. A few dollars here and there. But, he went out of the way, to return everything, track all the receipts, and give me the difference. Came out to $40. I was like wow. That's a lot of work to make sure everything is on the up and up. I'm sorry if my review is too effusive. I was just blown away by Sergiy and I think he deserves to be rewarded.

Michael White repaired our roof and siding after a micro-cell severely destroyed it…read more He bid 10% higher than the other 3 bids we collected, but he seemed extremely trustworthy. His story line is "I am a Christian, as honest as the day is long, and I want to earn your future business with high quality work". He took 8 weeks to do a job he said would be completed in a week. He said we needed "17 to 20 squares of siding" and never told us if he estimated wrong he could not bring back the rest of it. He charged us $700 a square for the siding, ordered 17 squares, only received 15 squares and only used 12 squares. We were stuck with $2,100 of siding we can't use. Again: he never said he could not return the extra if he measured wrong; and using 12 of 17 means he was off by 30%. He used subcontractors, some of them first-time subcontractors. His son would foreman the work, and always came late and went home early. The excuses for the delays were almost endless; often involving some relative that died or was sick and that he had to leave state. At the end he told one of his employees "the work looks good so I am going to try to squeeze them for more money after the job is done". He told us "I would like some extra money at the end beyond our signed contract because I feel my son did a better than expected job". We only paid him the agreed to amount even though he never sided one portion of the house that was requested; and at the end we had an employee call us asking for some money because he said "Mike never paid me my money". I recommend you use anyone but this company. The owner will act like he knows what he's doing; but in reality he seems like he is new to this. We constantly had to walk around the house and point out the things they got wrong. You end up being the foreman even though you are paying him to be that.
