Walk in and seat yourself. No waiting at 6pm on a Saturday. We tried three other places first that had 90-minute waits. Much older crowd in the restaurant. Seating was a little crowded but not bad. Service was good: server greeted us within a few minutes of sitting down and checked in every 10 minutes. The walleye fingers are food-service nuggets, not fresh fingers, and the breading was hard. One tartar sauce container provided for dipping; it was like what you get at a fast food place. Bourbon bacon burger was a little undercooked but good (menu says they cook it medium to medium well but it was medium rare. Fries were crispy but over-seasoned. Wouldn't return for dinner and wouldn't go out of my way to stop in, but if I was nearby during lunch I'd come back for a burger. read more

Wholesome & genuine small town feel & charm. Traditional & simple American Legion. Extensive menu with varied types of food. I can see why locals gravitate to this place, lots of regulars. Visited previously for all-you-can-eat fish fry and it was very good and economical. This time we went and share the 4 piece boasted chicken and Jo-Jo potato wedges, fresh roll & green beans. First time here for a mini family reunion on BINGO night and this place was awesome!!! Walked in with the whole family and was immediately impressed with the size, layout, crowd, service, and cleanliness. Sat down and instantly got offered menus and drinks. My kids only ever get water, but when we asked the waitress to come back with lemon wedges she did quickly and without complaint. Helped us navigate the menu and specials, and turnaround time for food for a party of 10 was so fast! As I walked across the restaurant to get some pull tabs and bingo cards, I couldn't help but notice so many regulars. It looks and feels like a great community. The bingo gals were incredible, and the place had a fantastic audio system and TVs around the whole seated area so we could easily play and follow along. We will be back! read more

We love going to the Liberty Restaurant and Bar. My grandparents used to live at the legacy down the street and we would take them to lunch or dinner here sometimes but especially for their birthdays and anniversaries. It was convenient and close especially after Covid hit. We love the food, the people that work there and it never has disappointed us. Even though my grandparents are no longer here, we come on their birthdays and anniversaries and celebrate in their honor. And play a little pull tabs. read more

A group of us rode our motorcycles up from the twin cities to meet others who were more local to the area, intending on the bbq joint down the road. Finding an 1.5 hour wait to be a bit much, we adjusted our plans and found that Liberty was just down the road. We called to make sure they could accommodate a party of 11 on short notice and they were more than happy to oblige. Service was phenomenal (that's our server in the photo) and the food was good (I had the bbq chicken wrap). Others enjoyed the broasted chicken, quesadillas, and steak bites. Not sure if you're aware or not. We went online to order your broasted chicken to be picked up. It was around 4pm. Your ordering menu wouldn't allow chicken to be ordered till after 5pm which was fine so we chose 5:45pm one of the options. I received a text at 4:50 saying our order is ready for pick up. We live 20 min away. Needless to say we were not happy eating cold chicken. Besides that it was below your standard. We are done with that. read more

Went there for a Fish Fry on 2/19/21 Joshua the waiter was good we left him a great tip. However a few things were not great 1. the place was PACKED we are still in Covid and there was NO 6 Feet apart, people buying pull tabs were not wearing mask nor people wandering around to use restroom or chase there kids. So if your not concerned about catching Covid this is the place! 2. The food, the fish was very very fishy tasting the green beans were dry and had a canned tin taste the rolls were dry. They did have everything wrapped in plastic but with how they let the place be packed and people walk around without mask you have to wonder if they wash there hands? I have been there plenty of times, for raffles even lunch the Burgers are great but I obviously wont go back during Covid because have Asthma and cant take it as lightly as they do. I get it they need the money but when your main cliental is above 60 you would think there would be more concern, not only did it ruin for me this night for future nights as well because now its a trust issue, Are the tables disinfected? After Vaccine we will gladly go back for anything other then the fish fry. read more

*Update* Michelle during the daytime waitress really should not be working in this type of establishment. She goes around to other tables who are playing pulltabs to check out what you're playing, how much you're winning or losing and resorts back to people at the bar so then her friends go play the boxes people have put a lot of money in and haven't won. Very unprofessional. She also doesn't tell you that in the fine print that your bill will have an extra charge if you don't pay in cash since the bill comes with a "cash discount" price and not the real price if paying with a card. It's okay, that amount came out of her tip. She does not wear her mask properly or clean/sanitize tables in between customers. They changed their hours and don't open until 1, but online the covid hours are very hard to find and not updated on their main platforms. It's sad watching this place go downhill. read more

Excellent food and service. However, they add about 3.6% to your bill if you use a debit or credit card. You do not see it on the first receipt. I wish they would let the customers know about it. I pay cash when I see there is a fee for using a card, but it is too late after they run the card. read more

I have went here like twice the first time no problems but the second time was a nightmare. The food was bad. The chicken tenders were weird. The burger was so soggy and I swear wasn't done because now I am having explosive diarrhea all night. I just recommend you go somewhere else!!! read more

Tonight we ordered carry out, the food was ready when they said it would be and the food was good. My only issue is their online prices differ from what the prices are at the restaurant. The prices were on average $1.50 cheaper per item(of what we ordered) on their online menu. So when I got there to pick up our order I was kind of shocked to see the higher price on my bill. Not that big of deal but just a little misleading. My only recommendations would be to correct the prices online and not let the food sit on the back of the bar getting cold while waiting for pick up. read more

The take out is terrible. Sits on the back bar until the bartender decides to give it to you. Three times I ordered take out, it was cold when I got home, and I only live 3 blocks away. No dipping sauce for the chicken strips and no au jus for a French dip. The drinks are way too strong. I now know what a burned drink is. The beer is good and they have a nice selection. This could have gotten 4 stars but service was a little slow, and my companions burger overdone. Asked for medium it came out well done. I ordered the French dip with mashed potatoes. Pretty fantastic actually. The au jus was a bit too salty, but I was impressed. If I had the time to reorder and have the burger done correctly this could have been a 4 star. read more

I recently attended a wedding reception there and everything was wonderful. The staff bent over backward to accommodate our needs. They were friendly, efficient and professional. The food we had for dinner was very good. They garnish each plate with an orchid, very pretty. I wish I lived closer, it looks like a fun place to hang out at. read more
