As a customer of Liberty Tax in Antioch (Hillcrest), I can only say "naughty, naughty" to the reviewer who called them PIGS. You see, I was in the VERY CROWDED waiting area when the incident took place and observed: (1) the question asked had something to do with executive compensation or some such thing that, to my unitiated ears, sounded more complex than say, "Can I deduct Cousin Cletis if he sleeps on my couch for more than a month?" The other thing that the anonymous reviewer neglected to mention is that, in a crowded waiting area- he stamped his widdle foot and proceeded to make a spectacle of himself by being exceptionally profane and rude. There were even young children around and this uncouth person chose to ignore that fact and use words no mother would ever allow her child to utter. I don't blame Liberty for giving him the heave-ho as some of us clients were itching to do the same. Please understand- the folks at Liberty are hard-working people who make every effort to get you back as much of the money Uncle Sam stole as possible. My husband and I were looking for a new tax place to go to since the person we have been going to for the last few years was closed today?! I decided to hop on Yelp and check out some places... We ended up at Liberty Tax and we are so glad that we did! We were greeted by a very nice receptionist (she offered if we wanted anything to drink, and they have candy and popcorn too)! Filled out some paperwork and we were directed to Lloyd. Omg he was SO NICE and funny! It was such a pleasant experience. He went over ever form, every line, and explained the whole process. I have been using liberty for many years and have yet to experience any problem with the service. The employees are friendly, helpful, and quick. They finished everything in less than an hour! They had everything ready for me within two days, and within four days my tax refund was already in my account. My husband and I have been going to see Lloyd and Maureen since 2008 for our taxes. They are both very knowledgeable and eager to help with all things tax related. Before my husband and I were married there was a problem with my husbands state return. Maureen went out of here way to contact the franchise tax board, and then the post office to find out why he had not received his return after a more than reasonable amount of time. She figured out where the problem was, corrected it and had his return to him promptly. I tell all my friends and family to go see them if they are in need of help when tax time rolls around. Well my favorite people sold the business and the new owner jacked up the prices. When I found out the price tag $ 550.00. I was like excuse me so I requested my paper work back and said tell the new owner he just lost a good customer. If you want to give them half of your tax returns then continue going. I went here to file my taxes earlier this year. They were very helpful in explaining everything including the questions that we had. I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but I had to make an exception this time. When they were processing my payment for their services, I somehow go charged twice. I went back in with my credit card receipt and they were more than happy to return the second charge. After experiencing some confusion with Turbo Tax, my parents recommended this place to file my taxes. I have been in before and really appreciated the advice I received. However, on this years visit I was accused (by the owners) of coming in for 'free lessons' and was told not to come back. I was extremely offended by their out of line, rude, unacceptable behavior. The tax preparer input all my info and I needed to talk with my husband before signing, and he would need to come in to sign as well. As I got up to leave, the owner stormed over to me and told me I wasn't to come back. I was confused and did not understand what was happening. She said I was coming in for 'free lessons' and I couldn't do that. I fully intended to return to file with the tax preparer and the owner had no right or reason to approach me the way she did. She wrongly accused me of something, lost business for her employee and hopefully will be hearing from the CEO as I have sent a complaint letter to him. read more

Went to Liberty because it was close to our house.So glad we did! Lloyd was awsome very professional and knowledgeable.
