Update I received a…read morecall from the company and a miscommunication was cleared up. I think part of this happened because 'who answers their phone anymore when they don't recognize the caller?' The agency appears to have left a message but the whole message was distorted and I didn't know they were the callers. I still would rather have had a follow up by mail even - but I am not as disappointed as I was. I will be watching to see if my agency steps up to the plate and makes me feel like I'm more than just another commission. Stay tuned. Independent agent - not so sure! Poor customer service - no doubt. I started with this location years ago when my long time independent agency (Longe) in Chicopee closed and an employee went to work at this location when it was known as Remillard Ins Agency. The agency changed hands again and eventually ended up as a site for Hub International. The employees seem to mostly be the same. When my home/auto rate went up again this year - I asked an employee here to review my policies and shop them out for potential savings with a different insurer. Well, that was in mid January and now it's my renewal date in mid February. My policy payment was taken today and I realize my late January follow up call/message was never responded to by the agency. I understand that the agency could have called and said nothing cheaper/comparable was available. But, I don't understand the lack of contact. I received several insurance direct mail pieces from my credit union's affiliated ins company, online insurance companies, AAA and I was a sap. I just assumed I was in a good place with my agency. I am busy like most people - and now I know I will have to take the timelook for a new agency or go direct to a company that leaves out the middleman that seems to serve no purpose. So disappointed.

I'm just going to repeat my same review basically because I got to walk in there and have some complex banking business taken care of with no fuss no Mas I was in and out in 15 minutes. If you're lucky enough to live in a small community with a great local bank like this take advantage of it and use their services. The auto loan could not be processed, because the loan officer required some sort of documentation, that no other bank required. I obtained that loan through Triangle Credit Union in New Hampshire. A bank that I had never even heard of before. Sadly, I have attempted to do business with this LOCAL bank, and have been all but chased away from them. I like to keep my business local. I cashed a check there and counted the number of bank notes I received before driving away from the outdoor teller believing all was in order. When I went to deposit the cash into my bank, one of the nine $100 bills was returned from the ATM. I tried a second time only to have the same result. I looked at the bill and determined it must have been counterfeit. I returned to Peoples United on King St in Northampton and the manager told me it was not their problem since I drove away. I never would have thought I would have had to verify each AND every bank note received from a banking institution wasn't isn't counterfeit. I presumed banks would have built in measures to ensure this doesn't happen. I feel thoroughly robbed by this bank. They assumed absolutely no responsibility for their negligence. Be careful.
