On my last trip to Seattle, from LI, i decided to book (for the first time, ever) through a travel agency. Liberty Travel booked my trip which included a car rental. Upon my arrival at the Thrifty Car Rental, i was not prepared for the shock of denial 'because my credit score wasn't high enough'. In Seattle, with a car paid for, but no car for the weekend, i was incensed. i called Liberty Travel (on a Saturday, the right person was on holiday, etc.) so nothing could be resolved. When i returned to New York on Monday, Nancy was still out, but i produced evidence (provided by Thrifty Car Rental) of my denial of the use of a vehicle. The challenge was that i had given the money to Liberty Travel who in turn, paid Thrifty so the money had to be recovered by Liberty, before i could be refunded. We've collectively decided to take some time and reach out to your management team regarding our recent trip to Aruba. We booked our trip through Liberty Travel as part of a 40th birthday family celebration. We were a party of seven: close cousins, and we all were extremely excited for this trip mainly because it's our first trip to Aruba and it was our first family trip ever. However, to our surprise upon arrival all of our excitement slowly began fading. Hotel Riu Palace Antillas is currently an incomplete resort with literally one half of the building under major construction, unbeknownst to any of us. The part that's bothersome to all of us was that no one gave us the courtesy or notice to accept the conditions prior to our arrival or the option to reschedule for another less inconvenient time. We were BAMBOOZALED. The Riu Palace was supposed to have been a luxurious, relaxing home away from home. But for our Aruba trip there wasn't any relaxing nor did it feel like home. Upon entrance into the Antillas bedrooms space we immediately notice the dust filed hallways, electrical wires hanging from the ceiling in areas where the guest must access, Constuction workers cat called us and other women every time we walked through the hallways, the constant noise was unbearable inside and outside the resort. One of our group initial requests through our travel agency Liberty Travel was to have three consecutive rooms, this basic request was not honored, again to the failure of this establishment we weren't informed of the changes or lack thereof until the time of check-in. Not only our request was not honored but our group was placed on three completely separate floors. Even though we gave ample notice through our travel agency for Hotel Riu Palace Antillas to accommodate this request. This trip was a complete disappointment. The rooms were incomplete, the bar was not stocked, the shower walls/door were missing, and three adults were placed in a double beds room to share space. These are all standard accommodations for an adult only resort. This was a complete FAILURE. Our four nights, five-day trip from October 7 thru October 11, 2021, we were compelled to switch rooms three nights in a row in an effort to seek some form of comfort. We don't believe that our request was in no means was unreasonable and should have been standard and included. I booked a trip to Puerto Rico through Liberty Travel and used agent Danielle Marchione for March 29th through April 5th, initial booking was fine, not outstanding but fine. When we arrived at the hotel Royal Sonesta, their air-conditioning for the hotel was not working for 3 of our 7 nights. The hotel offered a free night and half off of two nights but said since we booked through Liberty Travel they would have to issue the refund. I emailed my agent Danielle on April 3rd explaining the situation of the refund, no response, emailed again on the 4th asking for a response and confirmation of receipt and received a response of I am working on it and will get back to ASAP, well this morning is the 10th and still no response. I called to speak with Danielle and was told she was on the phone and would call me back later in day. When I asked if someone else could help me, was told no, asked for a manager and was told they are all on vacation until Monday. I am in sales and customer service and would never dream of leaving a customer in limbo this long. A simple email of the amount and estimated date of refund is all I am looking for and can't seem to get read more

I used to book all my family vacations with liberty travel unfortunately this company has gone downhill. Very unorganized and unhelpful. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment. I spoke to a woman who didn't understand the concept of scheduling an appointment. I got disconnected and called back an hour later. I spoke to someone who was competent enough to schedule an appointment with a specific person who was "familiar" with my travel destination. I was excited to plan my trip. I show up the next day to speak to the consultant I was scheduled to meet with, and to my surprise, she wasn't working on that day. The only person in the office was with a customer and rambled on that she can't help me, even if I waited, not really with a clear explanation. I will be taking my business elsewhere. They booked a trip for my son to go to Ireland. It was supposed to be May of 2020. The trip obviously was canceled due to Covid. The airline refunded his money with no problem. The travel agent just gives him the run around. Here it is 2 years later and still no refund. They barely even respond. Terrible way to do business. I would never book with them again. I received a call back from someone to collect information for a family package to the carribean on Monday 7/10th for a trip in mid August. I was told that he would put the package together and provide an update in 24 hours.. It's Saturday and never a return call. What a complete waste of time. read more

Absolutely horrible. I wouldn't even give it one star. The service was just horrible and made my vacation more stressful than it ever needed to be. Why go through a travel agent when they made every aspect of planing a trip horrible and not exciting. Personal information was wrong on certain forms after specifically calling numerous times to correct, chosen plane seats were changed due to the "airline" which was a complete lie after speaking to a representative from the airline, never received any important documentation from the airline because it was being sent to my travel agent and not myself, transportation wasn't booked when they said it was taken care of, never received a itinerary of the trip when I was supposed two weeks before my vacation. Do not use this location or this company to book a trip. You will have a much better experience going some where else. Trust me!! read more

This is my second time booking with Liberty Travel and Shannan. The prices are competitive and the service is exceptional. Most recently, five stars and many thanks to Shannan for booking our two week trip to Europe. She was extremely patient through the booking process. We changed one of our destinations two months after booking and it wasn't a problem. Additionally, while we were away our flight from Venice to Paris was canceled and our train from Paris to London was canceled all due to union strikes! Shannan pulled through and within the hour had flights booked directly to London and refunds were processing! Thanks again Shannan for doing what you do! read more

I just returned from a trip I booked with this Liberty Travel and it was another amazing experience. We have gone here for our last 3 trips, and worked with Dawn every time. We explained what we were looking for, our budget and our preferences. Dawn has always made great suggestions and she is knowledgeable about what she recommends. I suppose if you don't own a computer liberty travel would be a good option. It for those of us who live in the modern world their "services" were nothing more than a slight convenience, with a few hiccups. We had originally booked a trip for ten people to DR and decided to change our itinerary because of the negative press it was getting in regards to safety. Liberty Travel was helpful and accommodating, and we were able to make the switch with little additional cost. The hotel was very nice, and the airport transfers were also very convenient, as we had an entire van all to ourselves. However, were a number of things that I was not happy about. -The agent we were working with didn't seem to know what she was doing and had to ask the other agents in the office for help. -My credit card was charged twice for the flights, which was eventually fixed but left me feeling annoyed. -We were traveling with little ones, ages 1,3 and 7. The lap infant was booked twice..???...and the rest of the little ones in our party were seated separately all over the plane. I called to see what could be done and was told to talk to the ticket agent when I arrive at the airport at 5:30am to "see what they can do". I hung up the phone, called delta and they were able to fix the problem for us in minutes. As a travel agency I expected them to help us with that problem, or at the very least give us a phone number to call. -We were talked into getting larger suites at the resort we chose and were told that they would be connecting rooms so that we had more flexibility with sleeping arrangements for the 10 people in our group (6 kids, 4 adults). When we arrived at the hotel the rooms were in separate buildings, about a 5 min walk from one another. So much for togetherness and flexibility. We had extra beds left unused, and my brother and sister in law had to ask for cots to keep their family together. I know that things like this happen when traveling, but all in all I didn't find their services to be helpful. There was nothing they did that you or I could not have done on our own. read more

will never use this Agency again . My husband and i booked a trip to Costa Rica for His 50th the 7 days. Then flights thru American airlines got cancelled 3 days in a row. Causing us to loose 3 days of our trip which was not getting reimbursed back to us at the Resort called Planet Hollywood in costa Rica's regardless that we did not stay at the resort. Liberty travel was blaming the Resort not wanting to give us money back . The Resort was saying Liberty was not wanting to reimburse us. So needless to say we did not get any of the 2,763.90 we shelled out to liberty travel for the resort. America Airlines did reimburse us the flights thank god for that. This was no fault of ours just the airlines not being able to get us there in August of 2022. Family and friends did not use this agency and made it there with no problem. So needless to say i WILLLL Never!!!!! Use this Travel Agency again!!! The game they played along with the Resort of whose to blame for us not receiving any money or accommodating us to be allowed to travel on other dates using the money was also not accommodable!! Do not use this Liberty Travel. They are thieves. They billed me one price and then overcharged my credit card by $60. When I called to inquire they told me they made a computation mistake on the original invoice. That was BS. Then when I tried to call to complain they hung up the phone on me. The agents name is Steve. Be careful. Book your trips online or use another LT. BEWARE Not sure if all can see but Liberty Travel replied asking that I provide my phone number so they can have someone contact me to resolve this. It's been more than two weeks now I've never received a call. In my eyes it only makes the situation worse. They are just posting that so that the yelp readers can see that they're trying to make an attempt. But obviously they haven't. Once again stay away from that specific liberty travel. It seems to me they have deals with certain properties that they push , i have booked many vacations over the years but its been goin downhill so beware - i got e coli and needed medical attention from secrets maroma which they have raved about for many years ! How this location is still in business I will never know! Technology has left this company far behind and they can't compete! Firstly steer clear they work on commission and often you will be charged this fee somewhere in your booking! This is the worst travel agency and speaking to someone that used to work for liberty travel - we were told the staff takes the free rooms for themselves. Even calling this place to ask questions the snude remarks were completely unnecessary. You are a customer service environment .... you don't like your job get A NEW ONE.
