The thing with second hand bookstores, they can either be in a state of complete chaos, where the book title you're looking for *may* be there but because nothing is organized, you may miss it altogether OR the bookstore can be so meticulously and methodically well-organized that you end up walking out with some book titles you weren't even looking for in the first place. This is what happened to me at Beazley Books located in the quaint and picturesque Pointe-Claire village. The owner was also very nice and seemed to know quite a bit about the writers I picked up. Yeah, I know it's the West Island, but the distance is a lot longer in your head than it really is. I actually timed myself and found that I was there in 30 minutes flat from Lionel Groulx metro on the weekend. It's definitely worth a visit. While you're here you can browse the other many cute little shops, and grab some lunch at the local cafe

It's still great, but tbh the selection of English books has dwindled. Tends to be very repetitive (fans of James Patterson and Lisa Gardner will be pleased). But that's really my only complaint. It's a super clean place, the owner is perfectly bilingual and knows *every book* she has in her shop, and they have cute merch and also old records, puzzles, etc to look at. Lots of magazines too, if you don't mind reading back issues you can pick up some People, good Housekeeping etc for less than $1. Definitely worth a stop if you are an avid reader!

There's several sections labeled discretly, such as history, fiction, youth, even Japanese! There's also a neat 5$ clearance area in the back. Book browsing is defininely a timeless passtime, and I hope many can find a moment to indulge in it (especially with all the stress around us these days). For example, I found an absolutely gorgeous edition of The Divine Comedy (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) that made my wallet itch! I'm always impressed by the variety. You see something new every time you go in because they offer such an impressive collection of items. We even got hockey cards for surprise gifts for family this time around! Some items are more expensive but we got an edition of The Wizard of Oz that was still wrapped and originally worth quite the pretty penny that we will be gifting to a loved one. It was an amazing experience once again today. For the first time, I think I spent more time looking at their prints and I wanted to buy nearly every Singin' In The Rain one... Hardy Boys galore... it was overall just a lot of fun to visit this store. We'll be back for our quarterly visit in no time.

They have lots of records for 5 bucks, which is something like an old movie rental price. Even if I only listen to something once, the experience is worth 5 bucks. They also have way more expensive records, like limited editions of Tom Waits or whatever, which occasionally run closer to a hundred. So there's a huge range, if you're looking to spending a tiny bit of pocket money, or if you're looking to make a major investment for your collection. They also have books. I honestly use the library for books more than buying them, but sometime when I'm in here for vinyls, something on the bookshelf catches my eye, and the prices are fair. It is packed, though. Sometimes where there are a lot of customers, it is very hard to move around and look for things. So much stuff in a such a small space is a double-edged sword. This 5-star review is for my visits outside of peak times, for the selection, service, and price. During peak times, maybe only worth 4 stars because it's so hard to navigate. But the popularity is a sign of the quality, so it's hard to quibble with that.

This is a huge bookstore in the mall! It reminds me of Barnes and Noble. There's books in French…read moreand English. Videos and gifts. Love the selection in the gift shop. I found these unique bags decorated with little Asian dolls on it. Deduct one star for the unfriendly cashier. I walked up to the counter and said, "Hi." She didn't acknowledge me. Then she tells me the price in French! I ask her in English how much. She reluctantly told me the price in English. Really, you are in sales. Care to be a bit more customer service oriented?

I once got a skid row tape there in like 2015, but today I just dug around a little bit and found a Montreal doom metal album, and a Canadian press of Days of Future's Past. Sick.
