He enjoyed the kids library section. They have some neat in the wall seating for kids to read. They also have a large wooden ' café' for kids to play at. They had a good amount of books for children. The library was very busy on a Saturday later afternoon. I walked throughout the rest of the library to check it out and they have a good selection of books in the teens and adult areas. They also had a cooking room and also other meeting room rooms. It appeared to be a possible cooking lesson going on at the time we were there. They have a variety of comfortable and modern seating arrangements throughout the whole entire library. They also had a huge window area looking out on natural Prairie area that I believe might have hiking trails around it. We do not have library cards with this system so we didn't check anything out, but we did read books to our grandson while we were there. Everyone seemed to be getting good service from the librarians at the area as they were stationed. The library is a valuable resource for all the community members because of all the free resources that one can use. This library was new and modern. I do think the bathrooms could've been cleaned a little bit better or maybe more often.

This is such an easy library to be a fan of. The location is incredibly ideal, just off I-29 and…read moreright on the Platte City exit with lots of other shops and restaurants and banks. Inside, there's a decent quantity of books available, but what's nice is they always have the New York Times bestselling books present and on display. There's also a very large selection of dvds and CDs and other multimedia content. This library offers 6 public computers with full Internet access and a few others with library catalog capability. There are plenty of chairs, desks, and couches available for leisurely reading or quiet work which I highly recommend taking advantage of. Furthermore, there is a large room on the north end which is used for special activities, including children's readings and art projects! One more thing I really like here is that they are open till 9 pm on Monday and Thursday evenings... Very accommodating for later schedules. A downside is it's not open later more often... But what can you expect in a small-town library? The staff here are super, super friendly and a huge help with anything the customer needs. The facilities are new and nice. Neil Gaiman (love him) said it best when he said, "Google will bring you back, you know, a hundred thousand answers. A librarian will bring you back the right one." As long as our society has public libraries, I have hope for the future.

Before the awards, we were able to venture around the library that has its own museum, connected cafe with limited hours, conference rooms, a bookstore, a study area where you can rent laptop and a vending machine area. Their bookstore had great surprise book packs and dvd packs. The detail in what was included as well as the wrapping made it enticing and so reasonably priced. The activities they had during the event were so fun. Button making, art contests, balloon animals, and bracelet marking. I really enjoyed this library and all it had to offer.

Today was the first time that I took my children into the library to see what activities they…read moreoffered. I keep hearing about wiggle time and story time which sound like great programs. However, I will not be returning because while I was there only one employee seemed remotely friendly. The ladies who in the very back in what I believe in the teen section were not friendly at all. The one in the very first office in the back gave me dirty looks when our eyes met. Plus one of the patrons were giving my children dirty looks when we first walked into the building. I always thought the library was a place where everyone should be welcomed and that was not the feeling that I had while I was there.

Locals come to; play cards, fellowship, and connect with their community. The library has several places to read comfortably, and they have a helpful friendly staff, that have even helped me write grants. Good selection of Movie DVDs, Books on CD, Large print books. It has an active Friends of the Library.
