There is a lack of price transparency which gave me the ick. Overall, we had a great experience with the service, just not the business side. When there is lice in your home, you are pretty much willing to do whatever it takes to mitigate it. Because of that, my friend recommended Annette, but caveated that I need to confirm pricing with her upfront. They were a little blindsided by their final bill. So I attempted to confirm price over text with Annette, who after some time asked to call me instead of continuing our conversation over text. Red flag. But I said sure. She verbally told me the $195 per person rate included products. Oh, that's nice, I thought. I confirmed via text we wanted 2 people at $195 per person flat. Thought that was sufficient. Fast forward to after she treated my two daughters...she thinks I likely have it, too. I decided I wanted to get the treatment too (this was not pressured by Annette, but suggested). So we are in at a little under $600 at this point. As she rings me up at the end, the math was not mathing. I asked how she came up with her final total, assuming it was a mistake. Oh no no, she assured me, the extra $130 was for the PRODUCTS she told me were included over the phone. She quoted them at $20 per product (which obv wouldn't ever add up to a $130 number- there were six products for $120). At that point she had been so kind and helpful in my home with my daughters. She was so sweet, that I was taken aback. I froze and just paid it. At the end of the day I think it is even less about the money but much much more about the straight deceit. I thought I had my bases covered, but that must have been why she wanted the call the day before. Overall, a disappointing experience. I will give three stars assuming the lice removal works. For sure 2 stars off for price manipulation. Terrible business practice. ETA: their products are made by the company and have zero objective reviews. read more

This was hands down the best money I've ever spent. In the midst of the COVID 19 quarantine, this company sent someone out IMMEDIATELY. They sent Annette. She is an angel. There were 3 of us infested at home and then when she learned my mom might have been exposed she urged me To bring her over as well. My oldest has sensory issues and really HATED the nit combing but Annette didn't miss a beat. She was sensitive, efficient and then at the end, braided all of our hair. My granddaughter got lice from daycare and of course we didn't know she has blonde hair once we did finally notice from her scratching her head non-stop i went out and bought the rid and mix and did her hair myself and I could not get them out. I spent so much money on that stuff and washing everything over and over than I caught it and so did my daughter spend more money on nix and rid and still didn't go Away I was so frustrated and upset. I was in a terrible situation and Lice Busters America helped me greatly. I took a group of kids on a field trip out of town and upon our return many of the kids complained of itchy heads. I was trying to treat the lice on my own for over a month before I finally decided to try Lice Busters. They came to the house and the technician was very friendly. They even checked my daughter for free (a quick check of all members of the household is included with the price) and removed one nit. I was worried that the tech was going to pressure me to pay to have her treated as well, but she didn't and she ended up not needing it. I called Lice Busters because we noticed our daughter scratching her head more than usual. My wife and I weren't sure what we were looking for but when the tech arrived, she was first of all very kind and sensitive to what was going on. She also was very clear on her steps of showing us what it was that she was finding which was a case of lice and eggs in all 3 of us. We freaked out! I recently visited Chicago for work and ended up getting lice from my niece while in town. Super embarrassing and not something you want to travel around with, so the fact that the technician was able to come to me instead of having me drive to them was really convenient. Horrible service! Tech was over 2 hours late. She did spend over an hour and a half shampooing my daughter's hair, but only spent 10 minutes picking the nits out. When I questioned this, and asked if she got them all, they tech told me not to worry, that I may see a few eggs still, but that these were shells. Well not even 11 days later my daughter was re-infested. I called Lice Busters right away, as advised by the tech who came to my home, She has told me that if we had ANY trouble within two weeks to call and they would come back out, at NO charge. I made the call to the office, only to be given excuses, and even accused of being the one to give the lice back to my daughter...saying we ere passing it back and forth. I was furious only because the tech checked my head while here and I was in the clear. I was told that I had to pay another $150 to have the tech come back!!! THe products do not work well at all... the back of the shampoo bottle clearly reads to use the Lice Busters Conditioner following shampooing. I was never provided with that product, but certainly over charge for a service that did not work, and was not held up to it's guarantee in the end! Save yourself...
