Because of that, my friend recommended Annette, but caveated that I need to confirm pricing with her upfront. They were a little blindsided by their final bill. So I attempted to confirm price over text with Annette, who after some time asked to call me instead of continuing our conversation over text. Red flag. But I said sure. She verbally told me the $195 per person rate included products. Oh, that's nice, I thought. I confirmed via text we wanted 2 people at $195 per person flat. Thought that was sufficient. Fast forward to after she treated my two daughters...she thinks I likely have it, too. I decided I wanted to get the treatment too (this was not pressured by Annette, but suggested). So we are in at a little under $600 at this point. As she rings me up at the end, the math was not mathing. I asked how she came up with her final total, assuming it was a mistake. Oh no no, she assured me, the extra $130 was for the PRODUCTS she told me were included over the phone. She quoted them at $20 per product (which obv wouldn't ever add up to a $130 number- there were six products for $120). At that point she had been so kind and helpful in my home with my daughters. She was so sweet, that I was taken aback. I froze and just paid it. At the end of the day I think it is even less about the money but much much more about the straight deceit. I thought I had my bases covered, but that must have been why she wanted the call the day before. Overall, a disappointing experience. I will give three stars assuming the lice removal works. For sure 2 stars off for price manipulation. Terrible business practice. ETA: their products are made by the company and have zero objective reviews.

After realizing that lice kept coming back time after time we decided to try a professional lice company. We heard about lice age from a friend, and gave them a call. We were thrilled to find out that they were offering a special introductory rate, so we knew exactly what to expect when it came to prices. We scheduled a time when everyone was home, so that we could check and treat everyone at the same time. The scheduling was very easy, liceage seems to work around your schedule to make sure you're satisfied, even if it means they'll have to stay late (and there were no additional fees associated with that - what a relief!). It was really great to know that they come to our home and we don't have to worry about getting the entire family to a salon - that could be a challenge. The kids could watch TV during the treatment and then go to bed right after, and not wait for everyone to finish- talk about convenience. The treatment was great, our lice lady was very informative and professional. She was amazing with the kids and made us all feel at ease. When she was done it was such a relief. We were left with follow up instructions that are simple. We were given advice on what to do around the home and how we can help prevent lice outbreaks in the future. It's been over a week after our treatment and we are following the instructions religiously and so far everything looks great! We now know why what we were doing didn't work, and I wish I knew about lice age when we first found out. I would save my self so much grief. The man who came to our house then used Suave shampoo to wash it out. I just assumed that they had their own products--not a olive oil and a $4 bottle of shampoo. I can't believe I paid someone $300 to put olive oil in my hair! 2. The scheduler matched me with someone who was more than 30 miles away from me, costing an additional $15. I questioned it immediately, explaining that I live in the city of Chicago so there's no reason that a business that is located in Chicago can't provide someone within 30 miles of me. She immediately provided someone within 30 miles. Highly suspicious that her first move was cause me to pay more to them. 3. The man that came out combed my hair, put olive oil in it and then washed it. After it was washed he asked me to blow dry my hair so he could comb it again. I asked him to start on my daughter while I dried my hair and he said he really felt like he should finish me before starting with her. I explained that a) I didn't actually have lice per his inspection and b) it takes 20 minutes to blow dry my hair. I wasn't going to pay for him to sit idle while I dried my hair. So overall, it is a significant cost for something that I can't even call a service and on top of that, the company tried twice to cheat me out of even more money.
