If I could give 10 stars I would. Discovered I had lice one evening, did the home Rid treatment and tried to comb out my hair but didnt feel confident I did a good job. Sent the Lice detectives an email at 11pm asking for an appointment. They called back first thing the next day and set up an appointment for that day. Within hours they were at my house and I was lice free. Good thing I did call because I had missed some eggs when I did the treatment on my own. The technician was SO sweet and knowledgeable and really put me at ease. They are even coming back on Christmas Eve to do a recheck! INCREDIBLE customer service, affordable prices and piece of mind! When I discovered lice in my daughter's hair, I panicked. The pediatrician recommended a salon in the city, but they quoted such a high price for lice removal that I thought maybe I could find something else. Through an online search, I found Lice Detectives. The business owner answered the phone and got me an appointment right away. She was so comforting, and was very good with my girls (ages 2 and 5). The Lice Detectives are AMAZING! When I found out our family (a total of 4) had lice I thought the over the counter products at the store would work just fine. After all, isn't this how everyone gets rid of lice? After still finding many lice bugs and nits the next day the pediatrician recommended a prescribed drug that when put on our children's heads it burned and smelled like turpentine. Not to mention all over the bottle it says to stay away from candles/flames. My thought...this really went on my children's heads? So after three long days of combing out the hair and two products later we still had so many nits (and I was brushing 2+ hours on each head). I had about lost it on day 4 when I finally decided to call the Lice Detectives. They arrived at my house one hour after I contacted them (so efficient)! And, the got rid of our lice after three treatments. They put you at ease as they answer any questions, they are gentle when doing the treatment and just so wonderful! These words aren't even enough for what they did for us. Their service is worth every penny you may spend on getting rid of lice. If you ever find out you or someone you know has lice tell them to NOT buy any products in the store (RID, etc.) or get a prescribed lice medicine (sorry medical field) but to call the Lice Detectives. Someone told me this hours after finding out we had lice and I wish I had listened to them. It would have saved me 4 days of sanity and money lost on the products that did not work. As the Lice Detectives said when I called them. To rid of lice it is in (1) the product you are using and (2) the comb you are using to get rid of the eggs. Their product is gentle, doesn't burn your child's head and is what loosens the "sticky stuff" that the lice eggs produce (however you say this). Their combs are nothing like you get in the stores and work wonders! As I tell everyone who I talk to about our lice experience.....I couldn't have got rid of the lice without the help of the Lice Detectives. It would have taken me countless hours to continue brushing with a comb that doesn't work. And, I would have had to wait 7-10 days for more live lice bugs to appear before I can use an over-the-counter med or one prescribed by a doctor. They got rid of the lice in one week and I didn't have to see any new critters appear before using their product again. Do yourself a favor and if in doubt, don't be, CALL THEM....you will thank me for this review. I promise. You never want to hear the words "you have lice," but once I digested the words, I immediately ran to the drugstore and bought toxic products to get rid of the lice. The directions were unclear as I began to treat my child, and the small plastic comb proved worthless. I felt so overwhelmed with the written directions, as I am a visual learner. Not feeling good about the treatment, I sought the help of the Lice Detectives products.
