So, it finally happened, one of my kids got sent home for head lice. I panicked, of course, bc it's so gross and I have 3 kids, how many of the people in my house have lice! I called Shirley and arranged for her to come the next day. She was so calming on the phone and immediately put my freaked out mind at ease. My daughter, along with her classmates unfortunately all got lice. A friend of one of the moms recommended Shirley to help with the situation. My daughter's classmates hired Shirley immediately, while I tried to resolve the lice issue by myself with lice shampoo from CVS (I wasn't trying to be cheap, but just couldn't wait another night to get the nasty bugs out.) Best Money Ever Spent! I have twin daughters who have long thick hair.. and after I found lice.. I spent days and hours trying to treat them... finally , I called the LIce Nannie who was recommended by a friend.. we instantly were able to communicate through texts... then we spoke on the phone sat evening... and scheduled an appt for Monday morning. But it's a practical reality, so it's a lifesaver to have someone like Shirley who you can send an SOS to in these moments. We went through this yesterday and Shirley was able to come the same day thank goodness. The Lice Nannie saved us!!!! I got a call from school that my oldest child had lice, then found out the youngest had it, too. I panicked- we'd never had it before. After waking up in the middle of the night to my little girl scratching her head profusely, I knew right away she had lice yet I had no idea what to do or where to even begin. So I called my friend whose kids had had lice once before and she said "don't waste your time researching or calling your Pediatrician, call the Lice Nannie. The only negative was that she first forgot my appointment and then was late for the rescheduled appointment.
