I went here to get a Transfer of Title done and when I arrived, the line was out of the door. The…read moreoffice is very small once you're inside and not setup very well. There is a section for license plates and then everything else dealing with titles. The line crept along at a moderate pace and after 45 minutes waiting, I was finally at the window. The staff was pleasant enough but I could tell she didn't want to be there anymore than I did. It's hard to understand what they're saying because they're behind a plexiglass divider. If you're the type of person that doesn't carry cash make sure you have $7 for notary because they don't take any other form of payment. I had to use the ATM and it cost me $3. I know most DMV and License Plate Agencies get bad reviews, yet this wasn't that bad.

After waiting nearly 10 days for an appointment today was the day. As a new resident here in NC I'm not too familiar with directions yet, so I went on and put the name of the place in the gps. Come to find out there was one near my area. When I get there my appointment was at 1:30 Pm so I was on time. Easy access to find parking. When I go inside there is an armed security guard, by the entrance, there was a line with about 15 ppl ahead of me but the line was moving quick. They called the people that had an appointment to the front of the line. I was up next. The older white lady did not grab her name took care of me. She was very polite and informative. When I hand her my documents come to find out I went to the wrong DMV. She quickly took actions into finding out if she can help me or not and she did. Took my documents to checking everything made sure everything was alright. There was also an African American guy next to her, he seems to be the one in charge he was helping ppl fast on the line and very professional. I waited about 20 minutes to get called. I went to the booth number 11. Was a nice lady will soon updated it and get her name the teller. She was calm, nice, and very helpful. Help me with my license and transfer. I'll give this place 5 more stars if I can I'm really happy to know we have a professional DMV in my area.

I really enjoyed listening to the lady who was handling the title line. She was very informative; though some people would have to return, she explained what they needed to do & what to bring back or who to bring back with them.

When approaching this office from the outside I just wanted to get right back in my car and reschedule. From the outside window you can see the lines. There were 2 separate lines one for tittle and the other one for other services. I waited over an hour at the line as the line was slowly moving, one thing I noticed is there are no chairs. No chairs at all. Definitely unorganized would have made it so much easier to receive a number or ticket when u come inside, have chairs available and ppl wait for there ticket to be called is as simple as that. Definitely will not be coming back to this location. Only giving it a 2 star because the lady that took care of me booth 5 was nice enough other than that 1 star.

I've had to come back four different times just to transfer a car into my name and obtain a license plate. For a vehicle I purchased for less than $5,000, they repeatedly asked for additional documents as if I had bought a luxury car. I even had to contact the seller and get documents notarized. Every time I returned with what they requested, there was suddenly something else missing because nobody took the time to clearly explain all the requirements from the beginning. In the end, they told me I needed an inspection. Why not provide customers with a complete list of requirements from the start? What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. Most of them seemed unhappy to be there and treated customers as if they were an inconvenience. Long lines are understandable, but poor communication and rude customer service are not. Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with any government office. I sincerely hope management improves both employee training and customer service because no one should have to go through this much just to complete a simple transaction.

I arrived early around 11:50am for my 12:10pm appointment and I did not get seen until 2:05pm. I just needed a new ss card so from the time I was called, sat seen and left, it was less than 2 min. At 2:07pm I was walking out the door. Apparently they were dealing with a Government shut down so a lot of things they were not able to access and a lot of people had to leave because they were not going to be able to be given any information. Also, they do NOT take walk-ins. An APPOINTMENT ONLINE MUST BE MADE!

They turned me away and said i had to call the 800 number. i tried to explain i was 99% done and approved, just needed to show papers. The guards would not even listen or look at my letter. SSA needed original papers, phone calls were done and not needed at this point! So Raleigh - great considering these trying circumstances. The rude security guards in Charlotte?
