The Irish version of a department store i suppose!…read more this is not somewhere i go regularly, the clothes rarely tempt me to buy them, there is an air of "small town ireland and no where else to shop" about it,ijust dont think the clothes in here are ones you would choose when there is so much to choose from in the way of clothes. one redeeming thing about heatons is the household section. if you are renting ordo not want to spend lots on household stuff this is the place to go. you still get fairly good quality and variety but for much cheaper than lots of other stores. There is usually a stand with books and dvds for good prices in this heatons too. you just have to go in to see what is on offer! Oh and when its September this is a great place to go and get school supplies like copies and school bags and big sets full of markers (remember them? you could never get tehm back into the packets once you had taken them out!) so in summary a big no no no for the clothes but for bargain on the other stuff its a great shop!

I forgot all about Heaton's until I visited the Square recently. It is a really good shop, and in…read moresome cases the stock it has is cheaper then Penney's and as the Square doesn't have a Penney's this is the next best thing. There clothes are cheap in both price and quality but sometimes if you are on a budget that is exactly what you are looking for. They have a great selection of shoes and under ware. Really nice bras for 6euro and sexy undies three pairs for 5euro. They have a men's, women's and children's section and is great for workout gear and tracksuits.

I miss roches, it always reminded me of being a kid for some reason, anywho i like Debenhams too. The reason i like this paticular debenhams is that it is the only place in The Square that i can shop in some of the shops that i love for clothes. Debenhams has concessions for shops like oasis and warehouse and monsoon and you cant find individual shops for these stores in the square. The other great reason to visit debenhams is you get to look at all the (what i call) Fancy make up stands that you cant find in boots, things like Bobby Brown and Benefit, ones that i love but can find in your normal kind of shop, its for things like this that you totally need Debenhams!

I'll hand it to Debenham's, they've made a lot of inroads to improving the overall feel of The…read moreSquare in recent years. As an international retailer, the shop is able to offer bigger, plusher brands to shoppers than it's previous incarnation as Roches Stores would have managed. Geared mostly to women (aren't all these shops?), Debenham's at The Square offers beauty, home and fashion choices from high street brands the likes of whom wouldn't normally be found in Tallaght's single shopping centre. That said, there's still an edge of chaos here, and my foray into the shoe department was on frought with danger: winter boots scattered on the floor, no stock other than what was on the racks, and if I was looking for a size 8 shoe (er, for... a friend) I'm out of luck. Sorry 'bout dat. I'll take Debenham's presence here as a sign of better things to come, and not take it too personally that those better things aren't here yet.

They had a decent albeit, uninspiring selection of name brands, maybe being a reflection our expanding digital world. The only thing to show from my visits was a 2026 notebook insert product.

What is this place? So you're probably a tourist in Dublin looking for a premium shopping…read moreexperience. Arnotts is the place to visit. I would describe it like the Bloomingdales or Saks 5th Avenue or Ireland. There's not a lot of options for individual luxury stores in the city so this place is a one-stop shop. Selections might be more limited because each store is smaller, but rest assured they have all the popular items. Tax-Free Shopping: For tourists (non-EU/GB residents), the tax-free shopping option is a huge plus. When you purchase your item, let them know you're interested in doing the tax-free rebate. You should bring your passport but the person who helped me said a photo was fine. They'll print out a receipt for you to submit to Planet at the airport. The minimum purchase is 75 euros to qualify. If the purchase amount of your goods is below 2,000 euros, you don't need to get a customs stamp at the airport. Just return your completed form at Planet desk after security or deposit it in the Planet drop box and they'll do it on your behalf. Considering the VAT is 23%, this is a great value for all you visiting shoppers. Don't forget to stop by this place and check it out before you leave town!
