When I met Dr. Vaysman, without knowing my fears, she explained every step that she will do. Her hand was so gentle that I didn't even mind the shot or sitting in that chair for an hour. He is fast and knows what he is doing. He always picks the best option for the patients unlike most of the other dentists whose priority is to look at how much money they can get from the insurance company. He is funny and warm hearted. Today, one of my tooth broke. About one forth of the tooth was hanging from the root in my mouth. I was in pain and not able to eat. I called Dr Jay's office for an urgent visit. Even though he was fully booked up, he still accepted me and fixed my tooth in one and a half hour. The broken piece was taken out. He gave me a temporary crown. I will go back for the real crown in 10 days. He is the best!! The staffs are very nice too. After this incident today, I will remember to check my teeth every six months. Please don't be lazy to protect your teeth. Without good teeth, we will never be able to enjoy all the delicious food in the world. I learnt my lesson today as I had not checked my teeth for 3 years. Then I was told by her that I had periodontal Disease I was shocked considering a year ago a dentist told me everything looked good. So she placed fear in me and got me to pay $150 for 2 shots of antibiotics. So I then go to see Gerstein for filling and to my surprise OH you need 2 fillings now and 2 more next visit WTH !! So more cavities popped up in a weeks time ? He was making holes and filling them to collect money. The next visit the "hygienist" tells me oh you need just 1 more shot. What ! Another $150 no thank you. And when I proceeded to tell her no she got defensive. I walked out and never went back. Saw 2 different dentist since then for opinions and guess what I'm fine no cavities (never got the supposed other 2) STAY AWAY from these crooks. All they want is the money they don't care about your health. How is a hygienist going to tell you that you have periodontal disease if that's not even your specialty.

When I got stuck at work and had to reschedule at the last minute, they were very accommodating. During my visit, my wait was maybe 5 minutes -- right on time. The Doctor was friendly and professional, and not once did I feel like I was being upsold on anything. I was really impressed by this friendly, no-nonsense office and will be returning without the Groupon.

This experience turned into a nightmare. I have never been afraid of dentists as I have generally had good experiences. I take very good care of my teeth, but for some reason, I suddenly needed two filler replacements and two onlays. This is the most amount of work I have ever needed. While I thought this was crazy, I went ahead with the replacements, because I was moving in 6 weeks to yet another city and my office trusted this dentist. The dentist did some of the work and then let his assistants work on my teeth. When I left I experienced quite a bit of pain. They told me to come back in for some adjustments. I was told I would be seeing a dentist. When I got there, the dentist said hello and then the assistant worked on my teeth. Again, I left and had pain. I was at the dental office every other day for a month trying to get "the adjustments" fixed so I wouldn't have pain. I have never had to get "adjustments". In my experience, dentists have gotten their work right the first time. My last experience was my final onlay. Again after the onlay was put in I had to get adjustments done cause I couldn't chew without pain. The assistant working on my tooth didn't numb me. She drilled away hitting a nerve. I screamed in pain and tears rolling down my cheeks. I kept telling her it hurt. She said, "I know. I am sorry. I am almost done." It took nearly 3 months for the nerve pain to go away from that tooth. Another tooth continues to bother me. The dentist told me he drilled close to the nerve. He then told me, in 3 months if I still have pain I will need a root canal. Well it has been 5 months. I still can't chew on the right side of my mouth. Why the "F" do I need a root canal after seeing this dentist. I didn't need one before! I didn't even have problems with my teeth before going to this dental office. This dental office also had the audacity to bill me once more after I moved. After they told me I had everything settled. Two months after I moved, they told me my insurance wouldn't cover EVERYTHING. Awesome.. since when I was there they told me my insurance company would pay up to this and this amount. I paid the hefty remaining balance. In any case, I am now in another city... still in pain with no dental insurance and deathly afraid to see another dentist (I didn't have a fear of dentists before). I never want to experience this kind of pain again, both physically and financially.
