Most people should not own a business. I emailed The Tree Affect about the cost of a cord of firewood. Simple enough question. The next day I got a response, asking where I wanted it delivered. I hadn't asked about delivery, but figured it was a fair question. I responded promptly with my address. That was eight days ago. Never heard another peep. Makes me question how professional they'd be about anything, such as taking down a tree near your house. Even the response to my original question was terse and unprofessional. "Delivered to where?" That was the response. No email signature. No greet. Just, where do you want it. Apparently, nowhere. Scratching you off the list.

Never showed. He proceeded to text me one time after that, just to keep me at bay for a while. Told me he'd stop by.. Again, never showed. After that he just ignored all my calls and texts. This thing costs exactly 2 grand when not on sale, and I will be taking him to court if he does not give me the money to replace it...

I'm very conflicted writing this post ....they do really good work and show up when they say, but…read morethe job that was agreed to was not done. With our agreement of a very big job I put down a large deposit/down payment (and that comes with the territory when you want a big job done) but you are risking that money because you put it out without one hour of work done or any product delivered. that being said, these guys agree to do the work with the balance being paid at the completion of the job. Pretty simple right ? Not so much , I come home from work on the first day of the 3 day job and the owners son is already asking for chunks of money because he " needs to pay his guys". Not really my responsibility?! But you feel like being a good person and help the guy out....but then each day he keeps going to the well wanting more money $$$ . After all this, you would think that this guy would honor his work ? Nope , when I show him proof of a dead tree he claims it is alive... just dormant. Just no talking sense to this company , it's a shame , they're local and do good work but they can't get out of there own way. They tore up my property driving truck on it and scratched up expensive deck furniture. They ordered extra sod (after promising any extra would be used) but then refused to lay it and let it go bad. Won't replace the dead tree after finally admitting it was dead claiming there's a 30 day " warranty " on tree ! They planted it dormant and it never came to life like the others . Instead of working it out to finish the agreed upon job they just threaten you with court and lawsuits when you won't pay for unfinished work. Gladly will get a laugh out of the judge when they are shown this company's fraud!

Big mistake. I call them on a Friday for the mulch at around 3pm to see for a weekend delivey. You would of though I was ordering on Christmas eve. A grown man crying acting like he was doing me a favor. After saying it was no big deal if he couldn't of made it, he insisted on doing right now before he closed up for the day. Thinking this guy was doing a nice deed I gave him the address and thanked him figured I'd hook him up with a big tip. I ordered ten yards and 30 minutes later I see this 5 yard rack body truck coming down the street not even filled. Already I'm thinking here we go two trips for this delivery. This big burly guy gets out pissed to all hell, I guess because I live in a nice neigborhood and I'm holding him up from his weekend enjoyments. First thing I says is, what do you have two trucks coming. What are you talking about you have over 10 yards in here he says. I go how do you put ten yards in a 5 yard body. He tells me this isn't his first rodeo. I should have told him to pack it up but it probably would of turned into a knock-down-drag-out. Everyone the reason you get a deal for 10 yard deliveries is because you don't get 10 yards delivered big surprise right. Every summer I worked as a landscaper/gardener while in college so I know exactly what 5, 10, and 20 yards looks like. I says to myself it been 5 years since you have been in the industry maybe your not as sharp and the supplier is right. Well I know i needed 10 yards because I measured out my beds. Sure enough it was 4 yards short. This long story summed up. The more you order the less the amount of what you ordered you will receive. The owners presume you the homeowner have know idea what the quantities look like. For large orders place them with the county MUA they will cost a little more but they will give you way more than you order. As my wife always says, "the cheap guy always pays twice." It's true.
