During my first session with Brandy, I immediately felt home. I don't know what it is, but her coaching style is one that's rooted in peace, freedom, and sincerity. I felt like I can tell her anything, and it's almost as if I were talking to a life-long friend. Her coaching doesn't stop at the end of the hour either. After each session, Brandy's always there to help or serve when I text or email her with something I'm having trouble with. Initially, I went in for her to uncover my blind spots, and even though she didn't say, "Josh, X, Y, Z are your blind spots," after each session, I'm always amazed at what I haven't been able to see myself. I'm generally someone who practices the doctrine of self-reliance. When it came to the idea of coaching, I was very much a skeptic.. That was, at first. I had just quit my job of 6 years and was going through a transition when my brother recommended I take some time to talk to someone to thoughtfully plan my next steps in my career; I had spent the better part of my career being unhappy with my circumstances but never took any action to change them. My brother, a few months into his session with Brandy, highly recommend I schedule a consultation. It took a me a few months, but I reluctantly conceded. It couldn't hurt, right? During my consultation, we did a handful of thought exercises for Brandy to get an understanding of my situation and distill it key characteristics of my job that were important to me.
