I had unbearable shoulder pain where it felt like needles stabbing my neck and left shoulder, and sometimes numb. I decided to give this Acupunture and cupping place a try. After an hour an a half treatment, my shoulder felt much better. It doesn't hurt anymore. Magical! The business is located inside Alana Business Center. Gina took me in the next afternoon and I was lying in a massage room with a massage table while Gina started cupping me first and then did acupunture. First, Gina used cupping technique on and around the painful area of my neck and shoulder, and I felt tension on my pain area with strong succion, imagine sucking the bad energy out. Gina said that I overused my muscle and there were lots of energy or lactic acid stored and stuck in my painful shoulder/ neck area. After the cups were sucked into my skin, Gina left the room for 5-10 minutes, then came back and moved the cups down my spinal cord, and put them on my lower back. Once the cupping was done, Gina did acupunture on me. When she put the needles in, it was not at all painful. You can barely feel it. The anticipation of needles coming in created more fear than necessary. In reality, it was not painful. However, on the spot that I had pain, Gina put a larger needle in, and I did feel that one, but the sensation was not more than a high pressured massage. It was totally okay. Once the needle were in, Gina left the room for another 20 minutes. When she came back, she said that I was going to feel much better tomorrow because she can see my energy were moving to cure my body. I remember being a little doubtful. Next, I turned face up, and she put a small needle in my right wrist. I can feel immediate soreness in my arm. When I was left alone in the room again, I was seriously thinking:"is it going to work? Maybe a massage was a better option." By the time Gina was done, I got up from the table, and there was not more pain. It was unbelievably effective. Today was one of those kinds of days when I didn't have enough sleep, I had way too much on my plate and I ran late everywhere I went. Also known as: the typical day of a working mother of three. I threw out my back the week prior and decided to visit Gina to get my energy back in alignment. My friend Lisa swears by Gina's ability to heal your body and I am down for anything that will help to balance out my chi. I ran about 15 minutes late for my appointment with Gina and frantically raced to her office. Located on Ena Road, I became increasingly frustrated as I tried to buzz up via an intercom system and it kept going to voicemail. Thankfully there was a mover who was leaving at the same time and I went up to the 6th floor via an elevator. Once at Life Centered I met Gina and realized just how much craziness I was creating with my own energy. There are times when you need to see your reflection in someone else, in order to realize how mad you're driving yourself. She was so centered and mellow, and I was, well, FRANTIC in every way possible. I spent about 10 minutes filling out paperwork and then she had me undress and lie under a sheet on a massage table. The moment my head hit the table I was already much more relaxed. My appointment lasted about an hour and she cupped my back (not sure if that's the right terminology). I could feel the suction on my back and it felt amazing! Afterwards she had me turn over and proceeded with inserting a series of needles in my scalp, forehead, stomach, thighs and feet. It was my first time and I barely felt anything. As she did my treatments she told me to imagine that I was surrounded by a golden light and that it was healing me. Then, she brought book that was written by her teacher, opened it to a symbol of love and placed it on my chest. I know all of this must sound ridiculously hokey but I feel soooo relaxed as I write this review! It's like my body went on a vacation so that my mind could get it's stuff together. Do you know what I mean? At the end of my visit Gina gave me the book as a gift, which I thought was wonderful and also shared that she's hosting a class on healthy living on Saturday. I have been Gina's patient since 2008 and basically, I will have to move if she ever moves because like an old friend, she is familiar with my aches and pains and more importantly, knows how to get in there to literally get me back on my feet! Recently, I threw out my lower back (lugging my 25 lb toddler all over the place) and went into see Gina right away. She cupped my back first to release the toxins and to open up that area for the "needlework" which involved some 10 or more needles up and down my back, leg and foot. Half an hour later. Having never had acupuncture before, I didn't know what to expect or how much she could help, but I visited her on the enthusiastic recommendation of a friend and have transformed from hopeful skeptic to the ultimate believer. After 2.5 years of trying to conceive, I finally successfully got pregnant after 3 months of seeing Gina. Anytime since then that I've had a touch of illness, or general aches and pregnancy pains, she fixes them for me in a snap. She also makes great recommendations in regard to diet and other environmental factors that you don't get under the care of traditional Western medicine, so she complements my doctor very well. My first experience with Master Gina was 10 years ago after I was diagnosed with two ulcers, a hiatal hernia, a stomach infection, and depression. GI doctors told me I would be on a special diet & medication for the rest of my life. After the 1st appointment with her, my mind decluttered from all negative & nagging thoughts & emotions. I felt that this was very unprofessional, and a little to close to religion for my tastes. I was looking for acupuncture, and not someone "praying" to my uterus. I wanted to go to the office after my transfer, but Gina insisted on going to my fertility doctor's office. I was not comfortable with this, but whatever. Afterwards, she surprised me with a bill for over $200!! (I usually pay a $5 copay at her office). Now I see why she didn't want me going to the office. About seven years ago, I saw Gina for the first time for chronic low back pain. I'd had back pain complete with spasms, sciatica and even immobility from time to time, which I managed with chiropractic care for about ten years before trying acupuncture. I went to see Gina yesterday for the first time. I am more of an analytical thinker, I really do not have a great imagination. So I tried really hard to imagine all the exercises that Gina was instructing. While Gina started the acupuncture I was a little hesitant because I really did not know what to expect. Have gone to someone else before and never felt any different, so of course I was not a true believer. Boy, was I wrong. As soon as Gina was finished placing the needles, I closed my eyes and started seeing a whole array of colors. Gina is either blessed or has some sort of soul healing hands or both for that matter :-) I've been seeing her since 2012 for my back bulging disc, sciatica etc. Gina and the best masseuse on the isle Tawny has gotten me thru not only pain management from my surgery but also a life style change. I began seeing Gina regularly in August 2010 for pain issues. I had been seeing a number of other doctors for pain and had been placed on pain medications that really did nothing to help. Amazing acupuncturist. I'm a Navy veteran, and Master Gina is listed on Veterans Administration's certified vendors for the Acupuncture category. Her clinic has a highly different kind of energy frequency and felt very welcome - space is very neat and clean. For many years, I've been suffering from neck pain particularly on my C2 spine, and a constantly nagging lower back pain. I have been authorized to have 17 acupuncture sessions by the VA. On my initial visit, Master Gina made sure that I felt comfortable and relaxed - she has this amazing ability to calm my nerves down as I'm a bit reluctant to have needles stuck on my skin. However, she made all my anxiety go away, and after the session, I could freely move my neck on all sides, and my back felt so nimble. On my way drive home, I really noticed how nimble my neck was - I could easily turn my head (when I had to look over my shoulder to make a lane change or turn) without straining it. I was recommended to see Gina by my chiropractor in my eigth month of pregnancy because I had a lot of swelling. Gina took me in immediately and treated me with acupuncture, cupping, and essential oils. Not only did those techniques provide much relief and prevent things from escalating (I'm convinced I staved off inducement by a couple of weeks because of GIna) she and her staff have an amazing ability to soothe, calm, and provide a safe environment to release emotional "junk". Every aspect about the treatment I had here was toxic, unnatural, synthetic- that's how to describe the scents/detergents/substances used on all the things here from its pillows to its face cradles and its massage / acupuncture table. It was very unenjoyable and unhealthy. Those unnatural carcinogenic scents were on everything I had on that day besides all of me. Washing once afterward did not get all the unnatural toxic substances used at this treatment center out of my belongings. I got worse after the treatment and no doubt with more toxins afterward. This treatment center breeds disease. The expert practitioner knew what she was doing and had all the Chinese medicine skills there are, but she just wants to use it in conjunction with disease causing and health damaging substances. Thus going there and getting treated there would result in getting more ill. The overwhelming unnatural toxic synthetic scents and products are not natural, are not the natural products she has on display, but cancer causing carcinogenic and unnatural products. It was not just regular laundry detergent scents. It was more toxic than that and in a greater (poisonous) amount than people usually would use for laundry. The amount used was not normal but for murder. It's like ingesting unnatural detergents. Not like regular use but like attempts to murder. read more
