i always passed this small little house on my way to Feast, and it wasnt until i saw an instagram post about them that i found out what it was, and im so happy i did! its a cute little old school manoa house, with a bunch of therapy rooms, and several different practitioners. i went to see allyson cook. they specialize in sarga style massage, which i had never even heard of until i found them. it was a very relaxing and therapeutic experience! deep, long, slower strokes, really get through the muscle tissue. plus theres aromatherapy and of course music playing. i also had her do cupping. the best part about it was that it wasnt just a massage for relaxation, but she concentrated on a therapy aspect. when we first started out she asked if i had any issues or concerns, and from there she tailored the experience to focus on my shoulder which has weaker ligaments since i dislocate it a lot. and then also on peripheral muscles that tend to spaz and over compensate as a result. i am super super picky about my therapists, and its hard for me to find any that i like. i can count on one hand how many therapists i'd ever go back to. and i get massages multiple times a month, and even when i go on trips. needless to say, allyson was amazing, and im definitely going back! read more

Amazing work and great atmosphere, between work, biking and surfing I get pretty sore and tight muscles to a point that just stretching at home doesn't help the "locked up" feeling. I walk in there feeling like the tin man, and after Amy works her magic of massage, acupuncture and fire cupping I walk out completely feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and even feel more fluid. I wouldn't call this a relaxing (one you can fall asleep in) massage but a massage to get deep work done! I felt all of this stagnant energy being moved around in my body. I could hardly tell when she was using her feet (yes, she created this amazing technique in which she massages with her feet) or when she was using her hands. And she is incredibly strong! She also knows exactly what muscles ache, massaging little muscles that usually get overlooked. It was such an intense massage; emotionally and physically.. but so necessary to get done especially when your body calls for it. She also incorporates cupping (and she has heart cups ladies!!! I have never been more proud to rock my cupping marks) as well as acupuncture if you want. The space is perfect. It is only one room. Private and clean. Bonus! My wife and I went to Hawaii on vacation and had the most magical massage experience with Amy. We found her when searching for a masseuse close to Waikiki. She did the most skillful and healing bodywork I've ever experienced. We didn't know anything about sarga before we went to her, but we definitely wanted to try it based on the beautiful pictures on her website. Her clinic is calming and peaceful on entry. It smells great, too. Amy's energy is powerful and radiant, and she's incredibly knowledgable. She listened to my needs and I got a very deep massage, especially in the tightest areas. Her technique alone was excellent, but what was really impressive was her orchestration of the 90 minute massage. After warming up the muscles with a great massage, she started sarga, which was fascinating! A sarga practitioner uses their feet, and it's worth noting for people who are unsure about this that her feet are super smooth and it feels awesome. After sarga, she did cupping. The cupping felt pretty great to me. She moved them around as she continued to work on my back. I ended up with some pretty neat cupping marks :). I felt transformed after my treatment! I will definitely see Amy for massage and acupuncture when I'm back on Oahu again (I didn't get acupuncture with Amy, but I love it)! read more

Amy is so amazing, I cant stop telling people about her and how she has helped me in one session She is so intuitive, kind and grounded - she is really AMAZING. I went to her hoping to "cure" my stuffy nose and sinus problems, and she assessed that my right side of my body was "off alignment" (I think because I had 2 kids, my hips and posture are off). So she alleviated a lot of tightness in my hips and my right shoulder area too (with massage and acupuncture). The next morning, I woke up refreshed and so comfortable! I was in a rush to find an acupuncturist ASAP to hopefully bring some relief to a pain in my neck and shoulder. I called Amy and luckily enough she was able to see me 1 hour after I called. This was my first experience EVER with an acupuncturist and I wasn't sure what to expect but I was open to anything at this point. When I arrived for my appointment Amy greeted me and welcomed me into her quaint and tranquil space as she finished setting up. She is a very sweet woman and I immediately felt I was in good hands. We sat down and she took a quick read of my pulse and asked me questions to make an assessment of what my whole body needed, not just the specific pain in my neck. She decided to do the whole enchilada - cupping therapy, massage and acupuncture. The massage was incredible! Amy is a petite girl with the strongest hands I have ever felt. She focused specifically on my left shoulder (my problem area) but also massaged the rest of my back. I've seen other massage therapists for the same issue, but nobody who really worked on those muscles like Amy did. It was powerful and everything was done so seamlessly. At times it got a little intense, especially during the cupping therapy, but before I could mention it, Amy applied pressure to points on my back that immediately made it comfortable and relaxing. When I left, she texted me a few stretches that would help which I thought went the extra mile. I am still a little sore, but the pain is no where near what I went in with. Let me start off with full disclosure: I myself am an LMT, and I worked with Amy way back when. She rolled through town recently and I thought I'd hit her up for a massage because, as a massage therapist myself that specializes in therapeutic deep tissue work, my body was busted from using it 4+ hours per work day. I was actually in a pretty bad way; joint pain, muscle pain, stiffness and fatigue. I remember her being good when we worked together, but I can honestly say this was the BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER HAD. I don't think I can even remember another time when I said that. If you think me being a massage therapist skews my judgement, think again. I've never written a review for another massage therapist. I am extremely picky when it comes to bodywork because I rely on it. I was actually amazed. I almost fell asleep (which never happens), and if I thought to myself "hmm, that's a good spot" or "I hope she digs in more here" she would respond accordingly without me saying anything. I recently went to Amy for a Reflexology massage. I have been bed ridden for the past 3 weeks with a shoulder injury and a cold. As a result, I have had so much pent up energy with no way to release it physically! I have been feeling very irritable and frustrated. She applied the right pressure, was very attentive to my needs, and also took the time to explain to me what each part of the foot correlates to in my body.
