I called to schedule a second appointment for a teeth cleaning. The front office receptionist…read moreinformed me that my account was deactivated, the system was down, preventing reactivation, and there were no available appointments for two months. When I inquired why my account was deactivated, she stated it was because I was upset about the cost of fillings and had said I wouldn't return. This is not accurate. During my first visit, I received a full-mouth X-ray and a teeth cleaning from a dentist (not Dr. Avanzato). The dentist reviewed the X-rays, said everything looked good, and recommended a return visit in six months. Before leaving the exam room, I asked about fillings to address a gap in my upper teeth due to receding gums. The dentist directed me to the front desk, where I received a quote that seemed exorbitant. I mentioned that my previous dentist had billed my insurance plan and co-pay for significantly less and indicated I wouldn't get the work done there. The receptionist was not present during my consultation with the dentist. Despite my corrections, the receptionist continued to claim I had refused treatment. I ended the conversation because it was unproductive. After this, I decided not to return to the practice and went to retrieve my dental records. The receptionist claimed she had already emailed a copy of my records and mailed a letter on the same day of my service. I never received either. She again insisted I needed two fillings, which I hadn't requested. I asked her to just send me the records. Later that day, I received an email with a copy of my X-rays and a note that a duplicate letter had been mailed. Two days later, I received a letter, dated the day of my service, stating that I would be better served by seeking another dentist due to a breakdown in the doctor-patient relationship. I had already decided to seek another dentist, but this situation makes me question who makes decisions at this practice, the dentist or the receptionist, who seemed to be providing misleading and inaccurate information.

Obviously, this car cannot be driven and I unfortunately I had to cancel. They told me the will charge me $100.00 because of short notice. I get that but since I have no car to get there it just pissed me off. This is an enormous bad business practice as I am sure the can fill that spot. My disappointment is high. This is malpractice and narrow minded and a big lack of understanding and not willing to help out. But the phone was hang up on me without saying good by. Not professional either. But ! I had a TERRIBLE experience at Diamond Dental today, with Dr. V specifically!! I went in because a…read morecrown of mine (that was done in their office) fell off, for the second time. It was originally done in 2020, and fell off for the first time in 2021. She told me that she was going to have to charge me to re-cement it. (I don't have insurance) I asked how much. After about 10 min of runaround with her & the billing specialist, I was told the charge would be $150! I told her that I would pay it because I have no choice, but that i thought it was ridiculous that I would have to pay that much money to glue a crown back on. (I had a previous crown on a different tooth that lasted me 15+ years without ever coming off!) At that point, she told me that she was not going to put it back on for me because "I don't trust her work"! So, after spending almost 2 hours there, I had to leave without getting the crown put on, at 3pm. She was aware that I was going to NC tomorrow and there's no way I would be able to get in with any other dentist this late in the day. And she actually looked really pleased with herself for refusing to do the work. It was honestly the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at any dental office. I hadn't been into the office for a long time, for personal reasons. She took several opportunities to point that out to me as well. As if that was the reason my crown (which to my understanding is permanent & should not be coming off multiple times) came off. I have a lot of dental issues. I have spent thousands of dollars at this office & have family members that have spent tens of thousands. I actually talked to Dr. V today about finally putting together a plan to get to the bottom of all my issues. And now I have to find another office. I really loved Dr. Wong, but he is there anymore. The rest of the staff in the office are AMAZING & SO KIND!! The office is beautiful, with all the newest technology. There are so many nice things I can say about the office in general. But after today, I will not be returning. The way that Dr. V handled the entire situation was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL. I now have to drive to NC without my fragile tooth unprotected and deal with it when I come back. All because the crown that they did has fallen out twice in less than 5 years, and I told her that I felt taken advantage of for being charged $150 for that!!

Upon arriving, it was clearly called out that the practice had changed hands as there's typically holdovers in terms of staff. Dental hygienist who did my cleaning was thorough and couldn't have been nicer. I asked her about an almost-cavity that my previous dentist had been monitoring, and she said it was still a non-issue. The dentist (Eastern European guy, not Zedeker) comes in and magically finds a cavity that she allegedly didn't see. Didn't offer much explanation other than it wasn't the same one I asked about. They insisted I come back to fill the cavity later and had me make an appointment which was weird as typically a dentist will just handle a cavity on the spot. A lot of this didn't sit right with me, so I went to another dentist to double check. Turns out there was no new cavity where they said, and even the old almost-cavity was so small that they would never recommend touching it unless it grew. Maybe they thought I would just allow them to make more money off of me, and do unnecessary (potentially harmful) work in the process. I canceled my appointment and will never return. Maybe this practice was once good and honest, but that clearly isn't the case anymore. Plenty of dentists around who don't pull crap like this. No wonder they needed to buy an existing practice.

Staff turnover seems high. I had a new hygienist a few months back who spent most of her time upselling products like Invisalign to me and when she wanted me to open my mouth more she hooked her fingers under my teeth and pulled as if I were a horse. I tried their Carmel office, and liked the hygienist, but she said she only worked there on and off and was not there regularly. The quality of this office has greatly declined, the main dentists seem to be absentee owners putting in little time. Recently, when I tried to call the main office, the phone was answered by an annoying AI that couldn't handle my request.

At my new dentist they have since informed me that i actually never needed a root canal ! Shocker !! They said she should have never let me leave the seat with my bite completely off and a crown 5 sizes too big for my mouth! I called them back to tell them I had rescheduled they had no record of it. When I did go to the appointment the dentist tried selling me everything under the sun from teeth whitening to telling me I needed braces again. My teeth are white in my book and I have one tooth out of place. I felt really caught off guard and insulted and she even gave me an estimate for the cost of everything that I never even asked for.
