They have various Serbian festivals in an area at the rear of the parking lot well designed for such events, including on Labor Day weekend. The festival has a variety of tasty Serbian food and sweets (recommend the stuffed peppers and the cevapi spicy Serbian sausages!) , beer , wine and liquor (try The mix of red wine and Coke, which evidently is popular in Serbia?), a DJ and people dancing, kids play area, and more.. The Culturak Festival lasts until midnight, I recommend going in the late evening when it gets a lot more lively.. Did I mention many Serbian women are amazingly beautiful and I thus want to move to Serbia tomorrow??

The piano performance was beautiful and it lasted for an hour. There was a 10 minute intermission in the middle. Afterwards, the church had a reception in the basement which included tea and sweets (brownies, cookies, mini cupcakes) and popcorn. I got to meet the musician who is German but studied in Italy for his Masters (or maybe Bachelor's) degree. I met some lovely people at the piano performance. I had wonderful conversations with a woman and her parents after the performance. I also had a nice conversation with a young woman who sat behind me during the performance. I will try to make it to the next free concert series. Cleveland's first 24 hours (24-7) prayer room is here!! This Christian prayer room is amazing and I…read morerecommend everyone visit. I first visited the prayer room on a Saturday morning in May 2021 when my church gave everyone a tour after a prayer meeting. I then came back in June 2021 to actually sit and use the prayer room for myself. VISITING -- The prayer room is located in downtown Cleveland close to the Flats neighbourhood. Once you sign up for your one hour spot online, you will be emailed instructions on how to enter the prayer room. You will be emailed a key code for the outside door and another key code for the inside prayer room. You may also book more than a 1-hour spot. PRAYER ROOM -- (See my attached photos below) . Once inside, you'll see a few small rooms lined up in a row, along a wall. There are 5 of these rooms which lead you to pray for different things. Each of these rooms has instructions on what to pray for and how to pray. There are also mini tv's mounted on the wall in each of these rooms where you can play a video about a particular topic. The majority of my time was spent reflecting and prayer in these smaller rooms. There is an art room where you can draw or get creative. There is a room about city services such as what organizations are doing to combat homelessness. There is a kids room as well. In the main area in the center, there are sofa's to sit on, a mini tea/coffee station, and a bookshelf. I love the inviting nature of the couches/sofa's with the bookshelf. I found a book that I started to read called Garden City which I eventually ended up borrowing from the library this month in July 2021. I discovered the Traditional…read moreLatin Mass or extraordinary form liturgy a couple of years ago and attended another church in the Cleveland area when they had it before the restrictions. When this became the spot to go, I never really attended it and remained at my parish where I serve the Latin Novus Ordo Mass each Sunday. I may have gone here once or twice within the past year. I also attended a wedding at this church in the winter time and it was remarkably beautiful! I never attended a Traditional Latin Mass wedding before and I feel like if you're a devout Catholic, it doesn't get much more beautiful than this -- The wedding Mass here blew every other wedding Mass I've been to out of the park! We're truly grateful to have a Bishop who supported the community in establishing this church as a shrine in order to continue this form of the sacred liturgy. I think the ICKSP order has done a great job. Not only are the Masses super reverent, but I've had great confessions with the priests here as well. The only critique I have is that it would be great if they could get the altar rail back fully established -- it would look even more beautiful!

On the National Register of Historic Places since 1976, built in 1918…read more While the surrounding neighborhood has fallen on some hard times and shifted demographics continually since it's construction, this Roman Catholic Church, now St. Elizabeth's of Hungary, has managed to continue serving the community and maintain it's beautiful architecture. It remains one of the only Hungarian Catholic Churches in the area and the Cleveland Catholic Diocese is hoping that more Hungarian Americans will return to the church and perhaps even the neighborhood which used to be heavily Hungarian.
