It's not even close, they do the same work in a fraction of the time at the same cost. I'd go out of my way to go to CV Pharmacy. They're excellent as a Pharmacy and store. Central Valley Pharmacy, aside from being a great Pharmacy, I find they also have a lot of everyday items, deodorant, toothpaste, Q-Tips, etc, priced competitively with any of the chain stores like Walgreens or CVS. They also have a Hallmark Birthday/Anniversary/Get Well Soon, etc cards & I find all of this extremely convenient. (Big family, always a Card to send.) The staff & Pharmacists are always friendly, courteous & prompt. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to checkout. It's almost a pleasure, which is why I am giving them 5 Stars. Highly recommend walmart for all your shopping needs, as they have food from fruit, to salads to yogurt to snacks, to vegetables, to pizzas, to ice cream, to milk. They even have a subway inside where one can get food, and Auntie Annes Pretzels too! They have a pharmacy with polite people-- although they changed my medication to a brand that i was unfamilar with and it bothered me. But try it! They also have a beauty section where one can find beauty needs like nail polish, shampoo, and all types of hair products, oh and don't forget toothpaste! They also have homegoods such as lamps, mirrors, picture frames, kitchen items, bathroom items, Toys, DVDs and Games. Also recently have tried their clothes and love them! First off, my dad was allowed to pick up this medication for me since on August 4th 2025, it was filled- despite a request to fill it sooner because I was moving. Anyways, I called and spoke to a pharmacist where I said that I gave my dad permission to pick up my prescription in which the pharmacist accepted. My dad picked it up later that afternoon with no issues. Although they switched Manufactures again, and personally don't like when that happens because sometimes I have side effects from the fillers. Side note though is that one may have to switch pharmacies if they don't have the manufacturer one wants in stock. Currently just started the prescription that was picked up and no side effects as of yet, but it is still annoying especially If I react to a certain manufacturer.Also was inquring about delivery options, but because they are part of target, they don't offer delivery. Anyways. 5 stars for the communication at least. Overall, I highly recommend CVS Pharmacy because of the professional and nice staff, and the communication between the patient and pharmacy. When I called Monroe Pharmacy to complain, and asked for a reimbursement, they explained that the reason for this was that they do not get the manufacturer's discount that larger chain type pharmacies (CVS and Walgreens) get. I wish they would have been transparent all along and told me that I would be paying more with them as a result, $65 more. I cannot afford to pay more than my insurance copay. Also, I want to feel safe and trust the pharmacy I do business with. Now, I understand that it's important to shop around and make sure the pharmacy you choose is offering you the best price in accordance to your insurance and neighboring pharmacies. Going forward I will call my insurance to ask what the copay is for each medication to make sure I'm not overpaying. Very disappointed and truly felt taken
