on July 24 my doctor called in a prescription for clindamycin. I went to the pharmacy and they said it isn't ready yet. Come back later. We came back later and she said there's not enough in stock so we have to order it and it can take a couple of days. I asked, why can't you borrow it from the Chester CVS because when I was a pharmacy technician we could borrow it from our sister stores. they said it takes a couple days ma'am will call you. being that I had a raging infection and I didn't want it to spread in my upper arm or wrist. I called the store manager to get through because otherwise you cannot.. I made the complaint that why can't they borrow it from another sister store or call my doctor and ask for a replacement of another sort. The pharmacist finally got on the phone., Live and said, we can give you smaller doses to replace the one big dose for your daily needs and I asked why didn't they tell me this yesterday? she said well I don't understand why they didn't offer that to you. I did not work yesterday. This is a matter of seriousness because I could lose my hand so within an hour they gave me smaller doses. The robotic system called, says your prescription is ready you can pick it up so I believed it yesterday and it was not complete because it was not in stock. Miscommunication is a very bad thing in this business. . I was a pharmacy technician and I know the seriousness and we would always borrow from another pharmacy or sister store there is no reason why any drug stores should be out of stock for a simple common antibiotic the pharmacist apologized and it was great to get through to speak to the pharmacist when I called the store manager. If you rely on them to call you back in a timely manner, you have to wait till the end of the day. I had a lot of pain, suffering, and swelling for the past two days without having the antibiotic. I find communication very poor you cannot get through to the pharmacist, directly or the staff you must leave a voicemail and I could not drive to go and personally I had to send somebody but they do take my insurance and the manager did get me to the pharmacy so at least I'm grateful for that. in the picture, you will see my swollen hand. I witnessed the pharmacist making a racist comment about a customer who asked if she spoke Spanish. She didn't think anyone noticed, but I did. I couldn't help translate for the customer because he left quickly after she told him no. I didn't confront her or report her at the time because I don't like confrontation so I decided to leave this review instead. I will file a complaint with corporate regarding the situation because her behavior made me very uncomfortable as a Hispanic person myself, and she shouldn't be working there. She is an older white woman with blonde/gray hair and it happened on 2/19/26 at 8:43pm. I don't expect anything to be done about it because it's her word against mine, but what goes around comes around and justice will find its way to her. I find it unacceptable that people have to deal with that kind of nonsense this day and age, but here we are. I won't be coming to this location anymore. read more

went here on Wednesday May 22nd 2024 with my mom to mail out a UPS package. Since staples in Monroe closed, there are not many others who take UPS packages. All one has to do is hand it over to the cashier. Easy in and out. I also looked around to see what they had, but nothing of interest to me. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could! I've been a customer for several years, and in the past, they were great. Recently, though, my doctor sent in a prescription, but it was on hold. I asked him to call to find out why. The issue had nothing to do with insurance, price, or pre-authorization. My doctor wound up having to call FOUR times for ONE patient about ONE prescription! I had to call twice. They were very rude and called my doctor a liar! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! read more

Pharmacy department all go out for lunch together and no one will fulfill your scripts because no one is here! Rude disrespectful staff told me take my prescriptions someplace else if I don't like it! Randomly walk off and ignore you in the pharmacy but will tell you move over so family and friends can get serviced faster and in and out! Enough with this BS read more

This CVS needs to make some changes with the staff. I always come here to pick up my meds through the drive-thru and the older red headed lady that was there today was extremely rude. Unfortunately that wasn't the first time I have experienced a rude employee and my patience is wearing thin. I suggest they all take a course in customer service. read more

I have written complaints directly to this CVS on three occasions over the past few months and the customer service has not improved at all. My biggest complaint is that there are never enough cashiers working at the pharmacy registers - especially on evenings and weekends. The store is never crowded, but there is almost always a long line at the pharmacy counter. I'm giving 2 stars because one of the pharmacy cashiers is always pleasant, efficient, and greets me by name every time she sees me. But the place really only deserves one star. It is overpriced (and until recently I lived in NYC where higher prices are expected, but in Monroe? Really?) There are better deals across the street in Walgreens. I pick up ten prescriptions here every month and have had several store employees, including a manager, behave rudely to me for absolutely no reason. They seem overworked and/or miserable with their jobs and it shows. I will be transferring my prescriptions to Walgreens where the prices are more reasonable and the staff is more pleasant/helpful. read more

I posted a raving review few weeks back based on my experience with a couple of staff in the store BUT it is really frustrating when you come in to the store and 98% of the time the coupon center is NOT working. I know you can load coupons to your card but not all of them( i.e. mystery coupons). And when you tell the associate the problem they just tell you they CANT do anything about it . read more

Pharmacists are not helpful at all. They create problems instead of solutions. To fill a prescription is a big deal for them. Always a problem. Interestingly these problems are being solved by other pharmacists at different CVS locations without any hassle. read more

CVS needs to properly train their pharmacy department. I went on January 11th to pick up my prescription and was told I didn't pay my Health Plan bill and I lost my coverage in front of several people in the store. I explained that I was new to the plan as of January 1st and that it was paid in full and I had coverage, and she ignored me. I went outside and called my plan and they told me to have the lady call the number and ask for Carol and she would give her a reference number. She also explained that it was late on Friday and that I had coverage, but the system will not reflect it until Monday, so the store would have to call. The lady refused to call and I had to wait until Monday for my pain medication. If that wasn't bad enough the exact same thing happened on January 30th with my husband, same girl, same response from her. My husband had to wait 3 days for his Blood Pressure medication. Again she refused to call the phone number for verification. He was just diagnosed with high blood pressure on that day, so it was important for him to have his medication ASAP. Rude and unacceptable. Never saw her there before and hope she's gone soon. read more
