There main goal is to help people in poverty levels get FOOD at affordable rates. Each week they make certain stops at various places around the city on scheduled days. In this picture they are at a local senior citizens apartment complex. Their scheduled days here is Tuesday. Poverty in Rochester and other places in the nation is at critical levels. Many of these people involved are volunteers. Currently at this time Foodlink_Curbside Market is closed for a few weeks but will reopen in January 2022.

The staff was wonderful to talk to and they explained how the food reaches those in need. They give you instructions on how to help that day. It's a super team activity or you can sign up to volunteer on your own. I hope to come back again with my team. It was a very fulfilling day. Dress comfortable as you will gathering foods and packing them and working in their warehouse. Such an altruistic place. I love what they do for others

The place is more like a fashion agency than a food bank as upper management would rather look good…read morethan do good. I've witnessed multiple people get turned away and not receive food although they can give boxes of non perishable food out at their own discretion. When perishable food is donated it usually sits on a shelf in the cool until it goes bad and then it's discarded. Many project completed by volunteers often go to the wayside as it sits in the warehouse and does not make it to a food pantry before items in the box pass the extended shelf life. Beware!!!

On Wednesday, January 20th we had to call 911 and have paramedics come to our home because our son…read morewas in severe pain with back spasms. He had back surgery earlier that month. We have had paramedics come to our home on various occasions recently and throughout the years, and this group of responders were absolutely the BEST. We had TWO ambulances at our home/Monroe and Hamlin, and so I hope I have the names correctly. Our family would like to thank ANDREW, and to thank KYLE who had to drive my son carefully to the hospital. I hope that Chelsi is affiliated with Hamlin volunteer ambulance because we want to thank her as well. These group of young men and women are greatly appreciated for all that they do for others.
