I didn't know what to expect from acupuncture but I read that it was a good treatment for Bell's Palsy paralysis so I decided to do a bit of research. I came across Life Spring Acupuncture Clinic on a Google search. I called and made an appointment for the very next day. I must admit that my experience was wonderfully beyond my expectation. Jin was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived for my first treatment. Every question I had, Jin answered in a caring and friendly manner. He explained the procedure in detail, ensuring I knew what to expect. There was never any pressure, just a genuine desire to help me feel better. I must add that he also has very good energy and it is clear he is the top of his profession. However, although Jin explained the treatment in detail I was still a bit skeptical because I had read that recovery from Bell's Palsy Paralysis can take up to 6 months to fully resolve. But today, I have to thank Jin because just after 6 sessions the results are amazing with a very noticeable difference and as a bonus I feel more balanced and at ease overall. I had planned to have no less than 10 sessions and I will definitely continue to with my plan because I can only benefit further from the treatment that the Life Spring Acupuncture Clinic provides. I have suffered from severe anxiety and panic attacks all of my life. Add to that the stress of being laid off from work when Covid hit and many months of being housebound due to quarantine. This place is an absolute gem. You wouldn't expect such a lovely, calm atmosphere right off of Central Park Ave, but voila, there it is! Once you step inside you immediately feel a sense of serenity; the waiting area is clean, bright, and has really comfy cushioned chairs. There is tea and water and a restroom as well. Jin is an incredibly kind and sensitive practitioner, and extremely knowledgable about traditional Chinese medicine and it's techniques. He is a great listener and makes you feel welcome and comfortable during the initial assessment (and there on after), and he encourages patients to ask questions at any time. He explains things clearly and thoroughly, and always checks in to make sure things feel right for you during the treatment. In my experience thus far, the treatments have had an amazing impact! I leave with a pervasive sense of equilibrium and consonance with the energy surrounding me. I've been to a few different acupuncturists in the area and Jin is definitely a true professional! He is highly knowledgeable in the field of Chinese medicine and genuinely wants his patients to heal! His office is organized, clean and provides a calming energy. So far I have had three incredible sessions with Jin. I first came to Jin for chronic and severe debilitating migraines. I have been suffering from these migraines headaches for two years. I lost a lot of my life due to how much they effected my daily functioning. I tried multiple medications including injections as well as Botox. By the end of my first treatment with Jin I was already feeling better! I have not had a migraine for three weeks! I've also been able to stop many of my migraine medications which were causing me GI issues. Where do I begin ? I first made an appointment with Dr. Jin for my boyfriend who has terrible sciatic pain. It was so awful that he could barely walk. After ONE session with Dr. Jin, my boyfriend felt immediate relief, could walk - no joke it was like seeing a miracle happen. I was diagnosed with postherpetic neuralgia which is a painful nerve damage following shingles. I was taking 900 hundred milligrams of a painkiller medication daily. I started acupuncture for hormonal imbalance and hopes to shrink a very large fibroid. I go twice a week and am taking herbs. My hormones are now balancing out, my periods are not as heavy, and my very serious PMDD has subsided.
