Staff is friendly. Decent equipment but Crowded. Over-priced. The sauna and steam rooms are coed and overcrowded ALL THE TIME. Members have given this feedback and no response from cooperate. read more

Hired in October 2023 while PREGNANT Subbed countless classes over the fall and winter - especially holiday weekends while they did not have support Discriminated against (I am a POC) and wrongfully terminated in October 2024 after being told I would receive a class countless times. Took this up to regional manager and their response was to "call the hotline" Management discriminated and wrongfully terminated a newly postpartum mom that they used while requiring hours of onboarding stating that LT does not tolerate discrimination..... read more

The highlight of this gym is Diana -- she gave me an impromptu tour of the gym and explained everything I wanted to know. When I visited, the gym wasn't crowded despite it being a typical peak hour time. Diana checked me in and showed me all the facilities, how to use the locker, sauna/steam room, etc. She made sure to make me feel welcomed. The problem with this Lifetime is limited amenities compared to ones in Gaithersburg or Columbia. The lap lane pool is sad and it's indoors. You have to reserve it ahead of time too. The team room and sauna is co-ed. You literally go in there with your sweaty workout gears and SHOES ON, or wet bathing suits. I don't wanna imagine how awful it is sitting next to someone already sweaty or wreaking of chlorine in a steamy environment. Yuck. It's too bad the Annapolis location isn't as appealing as the other locations I have seen before. Perhaps one should receive a tour before signing up like what I did! Good thing you can still peruse other locations. But with a caveat of paying $10 more if you want to use the nicer facilities with more amenities like the ones in Gaithersburg or Columbia. read more

I completely agree with the other reviewers, it looks nice but def lacks what Gaithersburg and Columbia offers amenities wise. It's not as big and they're still building, it's more like a lifetime express gym after you go shopping. read more

I really like the gym and they have a good assortment of classes. Everyone working there is nice and they keep the facility clean. They have orange theory and crossfit equivalent classes! To the previous poster - this isnt the only gym in the area with shared saunas. Youre supposed to wear clothing at most facilities with them anyway. read more

I took the tour of the New Lifetime Fitness, Annapolis. I was familiar with the location/former layout, having belonged to 24-hour fitness before, this addition. As expected, there were some significant* & noticeable changes. Present: an open floor with plenty of equipment, some dividers scattered throughout to give minimal sectionality; a kid's playroom, and cafe on the first level; below a yoga studio modest pool, locker rooms, and spin classroom. Here's the kicker: the *CO-ED steam room and sauna* Whereas 24 hrs had sexes separate with the steam room and sauna, Lifetime saw fit to give separate locker rooms, but combine the aforementioned. As I inquired about the "amenities" to price, I was told" they price higher to keep it exclusive.... (note to self: you mean as in the co-ed steam/ sauna [ I thought to myself-- in jest--Surely! While that may work at David Barton's gym in LA or NYC; it is a major overlook/design faux-pax in these parts, where things are reflective of suburban sprawl, i.e: family oriented and a bit more 'conservative'. So, my take away is they're hoping you buy into the exclusivity "branding" and can overlook paying for classes and the Co- Ed sauna. Personally, I can't I see forking that over for all the potential creepiness that goes along with, and can't fathom it at $200 a month. (Are there even camera's in there? I can't help but wonder.) It was off-putting, to sense and sensibility, to say the least. Too bad they made the excutive decision with the space to be tone def, when appropriating the space. Gone is the basketball court, and or squash ct. and the aforementioned "his and her steam sauna -in their respective locker rooms. So if this *doesn't bother you* go for it-- I guess... Bottom line, they didn't think this thru with the demographic, at this location, or they just didn't care. I need all inclusive, for that yen. Fix it somebody. Now to be fair to brand, Columbia Hit's all the check marks, and is a bit of a hike; but much more "inclusive" vs exclusive; where it would match expectations at that price point & reflect a place where you could feel comfortable. PS: I decided not to take pictures as I respect peoples privacy as they work out... you can see for yourself and decide if this is your speed. I used to be a member here. It's a beautiful gym and very sophisticated. But I realized it was way too serious and way too overwhelming with the amount of people that come in. As well I have learned they're understaffed and overwork their employees without allowing breaks. I have seen a heavy amount of disrespect in the work environment. And I just feel so horribly for the employees that are not getting fair treatment. Please take care of your employees they're people. Don't open a business you can't properly maintain when you're advertising health and wellness. read more

So, my membership here, when it was 24 hour fitness, was $39.00 a month. Aside from a little remodeling, Lifetime Fitness now wants $180.00 a month and only open half the time. Someone is really going to have to explain that to me. Who in the right mind would spend that kind of money for this place. Maybe the Columbia location can get away with that since they have 10x more services and activities. Thanks for ignorant Annapolis elitists, they stay clear of the real gyms and not turning them into social gatherings and dating conventions. read more

I've been going to this gym for awhile now and have to say that it's been a big improvement to my life and wellness. The staff is always helpful, the place is clean and the workout machines are top notch. I've yet to take any classes but will do so in time. I am not a pro athlete or bodybuilder or anything like that, but this place makes me want to be one! read more

First visit to the old 24 Hour Fitness location near Whole Foods, which opened a week ago today. A much higher quality layout and design than was 24Hr, which was fine. Major changes that I can think of--basketball gym is gone, more studio space, cafe inside. Aquatic area is largely unchanged--swim lanes, wet and dry heat, jacuzzi. Yoga/cycling/pilates and more. Most definitely higher end, and that's no real surprise since that's the price point they chose. Locker rooms were more like a country club than a gym. Towel service, soap/shampoo/conditioner, etc. Self-locking lockers. First time check-in as a member was flawless and took a matter of 2-3 minutes. Honestly, it's a place run by adults that is looking for an adult clientele. I'm sure there will be chinks in the armor, but that's the nature of the beast. For the first visit, only one "major" issue (jacuzzi was shut down), and one very strong request: the thermometer in the sauna is wrong and the actual temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler than it should be. First world whines, to be sure. If you're in the market for a higher-end fitness center, and your cash flow can support it, I'd definitely suggest you give them a look. read more
