They hire young high school students for their daycare. This student, no names to be given, has previous experience with children and was greatly loved by them. Thinking this was a great job at which she has proven she is qualified and good at. Then you have adults who are also supposed to be qualified and capable with children, obviously they are not able to be be kind or they simply feel their entitled to verbally abuse these young adults because no one is able to stop this type of work place abuse. It's sad that this is the experience she's gotten on her very first job. If this is the way she is allowed to behave I would really have reservations as to how she is behaving with your small children. read more

I've heard a lot of good things about Life Time and I can understand why after trying it for the first time today. You could easily spend hours here as they have a gym, spa amenities, a salon, cafe, work space, pool, rock wall, tennis courts, Pickleball courts, tennis courts...it's really amazing how many different services they have to offer! The only downside is the expensive membership and one location in the springs (north of town). I enjoyed all of the equipment, machines and spaces for working out here! The facility was so clean, staff was very friendly and it wasn't crowded at all. It's so nice having a gym where you can feel pampered after your workout. I've worked out since I was 16 years old, I'm now 23 & all I can say is Adam will make you sweat. If you're looking for an intense barre class that WILL tone you up and give you the results you want? The negative: Busy all the time except very early or late in the evening. Parking is getting more ridiculous by the day. Summer time, holidays, and weekends...people bring their family of five plus seemingly ten more. This means half the year the place is slammed regardless of the time you go. Many people are entitled at this gym because they think they pay more than the rest of us, so they bogart squat racks and floor space for hours on end. Dudes will talk on speaker phone IN THE LOCKER ROOM like it's their own personal space with zero regard for other humans. One dude walked into the sauna and squirted the sensor with water to make it even hotter for himself without any regard to the three of us already in there trying to freaking relax. I've seen a few others do the same crap so it's not just a one off. There's obviously no dress code as some people walk around scantily clad taking selfies rather than actually exercising. To that point....cell phones. Countless people will take up a machine, rack, or stretching space to drool over their cell phones, which is beyond infuriating. Despite having 15+ squat racks, rarely is one available, especially when there are classes in session. The positive: If timing allows, the classes are usually available and exceptional. The instructors are fantastic and know their stuff. Unfortunately, the gym is simply far too crowded, which is impressive considering how big the facility is. There's more than enough cardio equipment (except kinetic treadmills....only two), so if you're into that, this is your gym. I want to love this place, but it's becoming too pricey, too crowded, and overwhelmed with entitled and inconsiderate humans to be worth it. read more

This place is all about taking your money. We pay over $400 a month for a membership for a family of 6. But if you want to play pickleball, tennis, use the outdoor pool you gotta pay even more in fees just to be able to use the amenities. A lady at the front desk was rude today after the staff realized I didn't have the correct membership to swim outside, even though we have been swimming all summer. It was the staffs mission to make sure my family and I did not get to swim today and that's the whole reason we even joined. If I wanted to swim outside it was going to be an extra 50 per adult and 25 per kid (we have 4). I'm glad my membership is ending in 2 weeks. I'll never step foot in this place Ava's. read more

After a whole year of attending this gym I can still say it has my attention. Not being a gym person and actually going to the gym 4 times a week says a lot about this place. I think they have oversold their memberships. Frequently there are waits to use machines in the workout rooms, and lanes in the pool. I've frequently been chased out of my pool lane to allow for additional classes they have also oversold. I've been a member here for over 5 years and the crowds are getting worse. Parking is worse. If you are thinking about joining this gym come during a peak time and experience the crowds before you commit. For over $150. + per month per person I would expect less congestion. read more

I'm knocking this place down for the price. Honestly it's too expensive for what you pay for. Often time treadmills would be down or hot tubs etc as well. The childcare is fairly decent but a few times they have very inexperienced people working with the infant room by themselves. One time I wanted to just jump in and help the guy in there because he looked uncomfortable. The 3 stars I'm giving are all for Coach Ashley with the swim program. She was worth every cent when we went there. We miss her dearly but cannot fathom paying what we were paying again to go back. read more

I have been a member with lifetime since 2014 and can say this is the best gym in Colorado Springs! The biggest draw for me has always been the pool because I'm an avid swimmer, and they keep it so clean and well maintained! The indoor pool is amazing as well, but I always take advantage of the outdoor one for as long as I can each year! Not only is the pool amazing, but so is the rest of the gym! They have so many squat racks that usually, even on a busy day, you are not waiting too long to snag one, just keep in mind when they have classes because they use them occasionally (they will place notes on the squat rack if they will be using them later that day for a class). The amount of free weights and benches is plentiful too! I do mostly weightlifting there, but they have lots of cardio machines, my favorites being the rowers and stair climbers! All the staff are so welcoming and energetic! They are there for you with any questions or concerns you have and take all complaints seriously! One amazing thing is how clean this gym is! You will see the staff going around cleaning on a consistent basis and keeping the towels full! A lot of people hate how busy this gym is, and yes, it can get busy, but I think that just shows how amazing they are that they never slow down everyone wants to workout here and honestly should! I'm a member for life and never plan on leaving! read more

Meh-- I hate it when I have to deduct stars. LT was doing so great and then they just butchered everything with their lack of follow up on member policies. And also on closing and reopening and closing again the pool area back to back-- making things very hectic and confusing. There was a harassment issue that I wanted to address and I did but they never followed through with it. It's as if I hadn't said anything to anyone because there was zero response. Thank goodness I wasn't being stalked or anything but it should've still been looked into further-- that's if you have concern for your club members. That was a disappointment. Now as for other areas of the gym-- unfortunately the ladies locker rooms are smelling worse and worse as time goes on and it's an issue that needs to be addressed. And as for the gym equipment, it really needs some updating. Lately I can't tell what amount of weight I'm lifting because most of the numbers have all peeled off from wear and tear. This isn't hard to replace-- why isn't it being done. Well as for membership here, I'm canceling it this week. There are other places I rather go to that are also much much closer to my house. Every year they have increased their rate. At first it was $25 now it's $30. When asked about why they're raising rates yet again, they named all the additional things they've added. I didn't ask for those insane outlandish amenities and classes they've added. Those classes are more per month if you want them anyway, they're not even included in the monthly price. And water massage chairs?! Come on. $230 per month for the family and their justification is that I should be grateful for not charging me what they are charging new sign ups. Wow. Not to mention I specifically asked if prices would increase again before resigning and they told me no. It's price gouging just like every other business around here. They are really trying to milk this community. Don't waste your money on this Vail resort. Maybe they'll rename it Aspen. read more

So rude. So very very rude. I came in trying to get some more information on joining since I have two friends who are members. I walked in and the two people at the check-in desk told me that I cannot come in without having previously registered for a tour. I asked him if there were any tours starting anytime soon and he said that another tour would be starting in 10 minutes, but that I could not join because I had not previously registered. They were very short with me, and I felt berated and belittled. I drove the 0.6 miles to the YMCA down the street, did a tour on the spot and made me feel welcomed. The management of this particular lifetime fitness would be doing themselves a favor by reevaluating their customer service policies. read more

10 out of 10! We are obsessed with Lifetime! We moved here from Canada and all of our friends are so jealous. From the moment we signed up we have been blown away at the quality of classes for my 9 year old daughter and us. We struggled to get my daughter accessed for swimming in Canada and had her accessed the very day we joined and she is now on the swim team. Also the club offers a fun range of special events that keep it fun and exciting. Can't say enough good things about the team and the facilities. Bravo guys. read more

Don't get me wrong love the gym and most people are friendly. I'm leaving a two star review for the fact that every time I've talked to a personal trainer here they are very condescending. Along with the fact that today while I was deadlifting i had a personal trainer come up to me and talk to me like I was a child. I had a hex plate on the squat bar and she promptly told me to put it away, I had no problem doing that but the tone and way she went about it was very rude. I have always used a SINGLE hex plate at the end of the bar when I deadlift as I can't fit another rubber 45 on safely and I have had COUNTLESS times where the personal trainers will watch me hit my set. Not once have I been told not to use them. I also feel singled out as so many people use them as well but never once have I seen them been talked to. Side note, you'd think paying 180 a month would allow them to get quality bars that are bend resistant unless loading 1000+lbs Edit: Forgot to mention how if you're on a squat rack they can just come take it and force you to get off by throwing a piece of paper down for a class, has happened to me multiple times and I never give any problems about it, it's just really annoying how they can throw you off it without hesitation. read more

I WAS GROPED!!! Ladies you are not safe here. I was training at 4:30am and I was groped by the man next to me on the squat rack. He grabbed and squeezed my glute with his hand while I was unloading my weight. I confronted him. He acted shocked as they often do. I took a photo of him. I immediately went to the front desk to report it. I submitted the photo and said he's on the second rack from the left right now. Their response from the manager: "We take these matters very seriously, but we couldn't pinpoint the individual to pursue an investigation." So I cancelled. Unbelievable. Also, the sauna in the women's locker room is always below therapeutic temperature (according to the studies out of Finland). I requested a temperature increase 3 times and it never occurred. Their billing department is nothing but greedy. The fees are exorbitant, and even after I cancelled my membership, they are still charged me nearly $500 in fees. My family comes here, the teens who are apathetic towards everything they look forward to coming here. They like the rock wall the most, swimming a close second. We had a tour and the staff said Monday thru Wednesday are the busiest days so we try to come anytime after that. The classes are amazing, something for everyone. It's worth the price even if some people don't believe so. Also, I have foster kids who are signed up and the staff are very accommodating to them too which is nice to see. read more

Should be called WaitTime, not LifeTime. So many people using their smart phones while sitting on machines and no oversight from staff. Such high turnover in staff, too. Highway Robbery!!! Prices jumped up from 99.00 single membership to 140!!!! Plus 30.00 any additional person. So a family of 4 is 230.00. That's extremely astronomical. No more sales associates, everything is online. So Lifetime cuts staff and jacks prices. For the price, you are not getting the value. Club is always busy, no rooms on machines/ pools are constantly closed for repairs/ and in addition dealing with wannabe Instagram "influencers" videoing their work outs and taking up space on machines. I have been going to Lifetime for over 2 years now. I was working in Washington DC during COVID and finally had an opportunity to move back home to CO Springs. I have been back in The Springs for about 6 weeks and began using the facility (5 days a week) at the North end of town, with no issues (save that it's crowded most of the time). Today (suddenly, 6 weeks later) I am stopped at the front by an "older" employee whom tells me that I need to "change the location of my gym". She furiously fills out my name/member# on a form and places a statement near the bottom stating that I want to "change to Colorado Springs", then pushes the form toward me and tells me to sign. When I look at the form I notice that she had left all the other information (prices, rates, etc) blank. When I mentioned it, she says "Oh!!, I thought you were in a hurry!!". When another woman (employee) took em aside and pulled something up on the computer she mentioned that my monthly dues would go up from $95 to (around) $140 a month. I feel that the first lady (that approached me) just wanted to get a quick sale and let me write her a "blank check". That is NOT ok. I cancelled my membership today, lets see if how that goes. That will probably be a battle as well. Sad! read more

This is definitely a five-star facility. They have everything in the world you would want and everything is completely state of the art. The price is fair for what you're getting. It's going to be a bit more than, say, 24 Hour Fitness, but you get a hell of a lot more for it. However, you need to understand this gym is like every single other gym in the entire world in this way: They want to upsell you everything. Your "free onboarding session" with a personal trainer is simply a sales pitch where they ask you a ton of questions and then try to sell you different programs, packages, etc. When you do the training, you can expect to have the trainer try to sell you supplements, accessories, etc. at their various shops. My experience with the trainers we've hired has been mixed. One was very good, but didn't explain the pricing correctly. The other was pretty good, but just not very personable. As far as trainers you aren't paying, don't expect a lot of help. I'm not talking about having one of them help you with exercises - that's what you pay them for, so you shouldn't expect freebies. But, the last guy I asked, "Hey... do you have a [insert name here] machine?" took me to the weight area, looked around and said, "I guess not. Just use this one and just do this one thing differently." I looked around for about 10 seconds more and found the exact machine I was looking for about six feet away from where we were standing. They're happy to take your money and reluctant to ever refund you for anything; it's their "policy". TFOH! Save your money folks and go to the Y or planet fitness. At least the facilities work there and the employees are friendly. I wouldn't give two squirts of piss for a membership at Lifetime; should be named LifeCrime. Expensive hot garbage. Our experience has been wonderful with Lifetime. We just moved to Colorado Springs from Manhattan Beach, CA. Lifetime exceeds our expectations and reminds us of the Equinox back at home for a much more affordable price. The classes are incredible and the equipment is pristine. I'm obsessed with every class Andrea Atz teaches and follow her religiously. We signed up with Tyler Hoerner. There was absolutely no pressure and he's very relaxed. I still love working with him. He always takes care of us when we need something and responds to emails extremely fast. If you're looking to sign up or even just inquire, ask to work with Tyler.
