Walking through the doors of CrossFit SoCo is still one of the best fitness decisions my family and I made! Some of my closest friendships are with athletes I met at SoCo and all of my adventures were with the support of the owner, head coach and the SoCo crew. It's more than just a CrossFit journey! The SoCo coaches and members supported and coached me during my first race across Texas, my first half-marathon up Pikes Peak, learning to swim at 40, doing my first triathlon and so many more adventures! CrossFit SoCo - Gyms Near Me - Colorado Springs, Colorado

I've tried a couple of different boxes, and I cannot say that I have ever disliked any of them... However, Crossfit SoCo is home. Its super conveniently located if you live anywhere between Downtown and Manitou Springs. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. The schedule is really the best in town, with afternoon classes starting as early as 3:00 pm, and Saturday WODs at 9 am and 10 am. The gym itself is spacious and has lots of parking, however, beware that snow/ice in the winter can be an issue as the entrance is through an dirt alley in the back. If you have been wanting to try Crossfit, this is a great place to start. You'll be welcomed by coaches who are super accommodating and who will make the beginning of this journey fun and accessible. read more

I love this dang crossfit box. Having traveled around the world and lived in 5 states, I've been to a lot of crossfits gyms and SOCO rivals every single one. When I switched to SOCO 6 months ago, I've not only become stronger, but I was welcomed by such an amazing community with open arms. I'm an RX/RX+ athlete and the programming is very challenging but adaptable for every ability and skill level. The coaches are skilled and help guide/correct and support no matter the class size. The playlists are on point. And the facility is big with never a shortage of equipment. Whether you are new to town or visiting, SOCO should be at the top of you list. read more

CrossFit SoCo really lives up to their motto. It truly is "more than just a gym". After moving to Colorado Springs I was looking for a crossfit gym and happened to find their website. It was probably one of the luckiest finds I've ever had! The first time I walked in just to check it out, Loree was so friendly and made me feel like I was already a member of their crossfit family. One of the things I really love about this place is that anyone can work out here. The clientele ranges from college students to seniors and all the coaches ask is that you do your best every time and don't give up. The support before, during and after workouts is wonderful and I couldn't imagine any place better. I went through the 3-day on ramp class with Kevin and I would absolutely recommend it to any one. He goes over the philosophy of crossfit as well as the gym's philosophy. You go through the basic lifts that you use in crossfit and he puts you through a workout at the end of each instruction session. I couldn't even talk I was so out of breath at the end of those workouts. I loved it! I went to one of Sean's classes for my first WOD and he was really patient in explaining things that I didn't understand and helping me out with my technique on some of the lifts. He really helped make that first workout a great experience. The WODs are posted on their website each day along with the class schedule and which coach is running that particular class. They do give a 15% discount for monthly membership fees for active duty military and they also sell merchandise (Paleo treats, protein powders, etc...). If you are already in shape and looking for something new, fun, and challenging or if you want to get in shape and meet some amazing people doing it, this is NO DOUBT the place to go to. read more

Staff is super welcoming, especially when you're a newbie and you first walk in. If you're a beginner like me, they'll set you up with the fundamentals classes to teach you proper form and technique. You don't want to get hurt doing this! Everyone I've met (both staff and clientele) has been friendly and encouraging. There's the main gym for classes and a different side for individual training...there's even a small waiting/kids room for parents to bring their kids while they work out. They have equipment that's in great shape, the gym is clean, and they provide cleaning supplies with which to wipe down everything you've used. So far I love it at Crossfit Soco! I am only in town for 6 weeks for work and was looking for a community and good workout and these guys deliver! So far I've taken classes with coaches Ashlynn and Garrison and they have been some of the best crossfit coaches I've encountered. They have amazing warm ups, that prepare you for the WOD and make you feel welcome (none of that gymtimidation!). Mike was also really helpful with signing me up and answering any questions i had. Everyone there has been very friendly so far and seem to push each other in the best ways. Stoked to continue here for a few more weeks before leaving and genuinely bummed to have to leave! Definitely a must try for anyone looking to get in great shape around great people!! read more

I don't have any reference to other CrossFit gyms. That being said. I have found my box. there was a month(ish) lapse from me beginning the fundamentals class. Coach Mike remembered my name and also asked about how my injuries are doing. From the time I walked into class I did not feel judged. It's nice to go to a gym that everyone checks their ego at the door and puts in some work without the B.S. of people trying to look pretty and sit on the phone while "working out" (GTFO). I appreciate that they cover all the costs with a membership and the cancellation process (not likely). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to put in the work and support everyone else putting in their work. read more

I love CrossFit SoCo. I was only in Colorado for 3 months, but they made me feel so at home. The coaches are very knowledgeable and work with you based off of any injury and constantly look out for you. They are very persistent at correcting movements and making sure you're doing things right, and not going to injure yourself. It's an amazing environment and they make everything fun. The location is hella cool in an old school gym with the whole school made up of coffee shops, bakeries, a brewery, and other various businesses. Dropped in here during my visit to Colorado Springs and greatly enjoyed it! The gym is very nice, huge and in an awesome location. It was a little difficult for me to find, but it's inside the Lincoln Center for anyone looking for it! I showed up a little too late to join in on the class I had intended but Garrison said open gym was going on and I was welcome to do my own thing. Garrison gave me a tour of the gym and was so nice and welcoming. This gym will definitely be my gym of choice during any future Colorado Springs visits! read more

While visiting some relatives in Colorado Springs I dropped into the gym a few times throughout the week that I was in town and really had a great experience. The coaches were very friendly and knowledgeable and the gym offered the first week free so a couple drop-ins didn't cost a thing! I was impressed with the equipment that they had available there as well as their capacity for supporting very large class sizes. Garrison greeted us in the hallway, invited us in, and introduced us to the oly lifting coach, Dalton. Although he was in the middle of teaching a class, he didn't mind us joining in.
