The pools are a lot of fun for the kids. The climbing wall is kept updated with new routes.

I've been a member since 2009 and have rarely had a negative experience their other than the wet sauna being down for cleaning at other than posted times which can be a bummer if you schedule your workout to include the wet sauna use. The friendly staff is usually working hard to clean everything on a constant basis and sometimes this adjustment is necessary and if I ask they try to accommodate me to get it back up so I can use it. With that being said my overall experience has been most satisfying. There is ample equipment for any type of workout one could imagine. Indoor and outdoor pools are top notch and well maintained. Both have water slides for the kids. Lifeguards are friendly and vigilant. Hotubs and dry sauna are well maintained. A variety of group class from yoga to zumba are offered. Racquetball, basketball, and volleyball courts are ample as well. Additionally parents with young children will have no excuse to miss a workout as a child care area is available. The general feeling of the structure and the people within on any given day is positive, open, and unassuming so anyone in any kind of shape should look forward to feeling welcome. Staff and other members will offer assistance if anyone is struggling or looking "lost." Personal trainers are available, professional, and friendly. Management staff make themselves available as well if anyone has a concern. The price has certainly gone up in 9 years which is not unexpected but considering the product and 24 hour availability paying $15 to $30 less a month to go elsewhere without these amenities and availability is just not worth it unless one is living on a shoestring budget or compulsively frugal. I pay 89$ a month and my family from Mexico visited and decided to get a late night work out. Turns out there are no guest allowed past 9 pm. And the front desk lady was really rude. This happened wensday at 11:30 pm. Really made me upset and my family, this is something that needs to be fixed asap. read more

I am writing this review, not because I'm a member, I'm not.....I am letting everyone know of their rates. I could never get anyone on the phone to ask this question, and was forced to take their "tour" to find out. They could save alot of time by posting this on their website! Family of four is $179.00 per month...Individual is $80...A couple is $140 and $20 for each additional child. Our family simply can't afford $180 per month, but sure wish we could. The staff here is incredibly rude. I've been given a hard time by staff at the front desk on multiple occasions while dropping off or picking up my daughters from swim practice. Today the swim team has a meet, but where is the coach? Three and a half hours after warm-ups started and she's still nowhere to be found. Horrible..I called in to rejoin...way way over priced they wanted nearly 200 for 1 person the join double with my husband. We decided to go with a different gym.. they continued to call us for 4 days in a row trying to sell us a membership after we told them NO..they are money Hungry than anything! I have two complaints about their web site; I did not join. The minor complaint is their amenities list is not complete. I don't know if they have a sauna, except by reading reviews. The major complaint is they don't tell you their pricing: you have to give them contact information and then wait for them to get back to you. This is typical of hard sell places such as often referenced in the reviews and I do not give those places my money. Been a member since this location opened. Staff is unknowledgeable about about a variety of forms used within the club. I was told many different things by numerous people. Do some training with ALL staff. Also change the voice message for the correct hours for the pool!!!!! Failure in staff training. And how about in the kids center, get some people that actually want to be there and perhaps might smile once in a while!!!!!!!!! Machines need cleaning. Overpriced monthly fee. read more

First off, Beautiful gym, amazing looking kids center, rock wall pool, etc. But First the price is way to much, and second their infant area upset me. I have to make an appointment to take my daughter into the kids center because she is only 7 months old. On tour I was told Four infants to one person. I dropped my daughter off and there was already five infants in the area and one person. I told them its around her nap time so if she gets really fussy to please come and get me even if it's only 10 minutes, since this was also her first time with someone that was not family. No one came to get me so I assumed that she was fine, I get there and am told that they were just going to page me and that my daughter had been fussy on and off for the entire hour when I had asked them to please come get me if she gets like that. I could tell she had been crying for a while. By now there was 8-9 babies and still one person in the area and 3 plus my daughter were crying, then after i was told no snacks were allowed I look and there are gold fish all over the infant room area. I've worked at three different gyms in their kid's club, I know how they should work and how ratios in them work. Needless to say I was not happy. And when I was leaving I was suppose to meet with a trainer two days from then, which is how far out they make the kids schedule for the infant room, and was told they didn't have the time I needed available, only a half hour before it and that I would only have a half hour, even though the limit is suppose to be 2 hours. The gym it's self was impressive, but what I would have to go through for by daughter, isn't worth it to me. If you have older kid's its great, infant, your better off somewhere else. Ive been going to this gym for about 6 months now. Mostly joined for my kids but then realized that I really do like it. The kids center is amazing! Love most of the teachers there. They remember the kids names and what not. Haven't seen a kid escape yet so I guess they do there job. I don't like that my husband cannot check them out after I check them in. He comes from work and wants to swim so I have to leave my class to go and check them out. Thats really irritating. Even if I tell them he is coming.... Parents night out is a big plus.. almost got 4 stars just for this! It is pricey but then again with everything there is to offer, its not to bad. I was not happy when I found out I can't go to every lifetime gym without another fee tacked on.... I travel a lot so its a must. The personal trainers are pretty much stuck up... that's all I have to say about that. The classes are all awesome! Wish they would find teachers that stay to the class, I understand missing a class here and there, but I don't like having a different teacher every week. Its really clean, haven't gotten a fungal infection yet haha... knock on wood! The pools are clean. The indoor pool will give you a migraine though... all those fumes are harsh. Even my chest starts to hurt if I sit in there to long. Basically all the kids can do is doggy paddle in the pool... anything else they are gonna get a whistle and told to stop it from the lifeguards. We usually just go to the lake to swim. All the equipment is pretty much awesome. Make sure you wipe it down before you use it. Not to many of the people understand gym etiquette. The cafe is pretty good, not to much of a kids menu though. They say "If its here, its healthy"... thats a lie. Be weary of the menu! The salon is pretty awesome! Haven't had a bad haircut yet! Wish they would use healthier products. But I understand its all about the brand.... I guess thats it. I like the gym, I wish it had an outdoor track or something. Or an indoor soccer field like the Mansfield TX gym. All in all I recommend this gym. Even with the 3 stars. Its better than Golds by far!! read more

It's always dirty. I mean what does it take to have clean towels and clean floors. There's always bandaids in the showers. I don't know about you but that is so disgusting. Last time I asked one of the membership people about this concerns and the tool of a man told me sure we will take care of it. I suggest to go to another gym. Awesome gym they do offer different classes. They do have a grat kid's club the only downside to it is that you have to schedule a time to take them and that didn't work for me. Very and always clean. Pools are awesome. Family dressing rooms. Pricey but worth it. read more

Where else can you go work out with or without a trainer or in a group, take a Yoga Class, dance your way fit in Zumba, have a healthy lunch or detox or protein shake in the cafe, retreat to a quiet lounge in the locker room and just relax, swim indoors or outdoors, get a massage,play court sports, get nutrition guidance, and even have your hair and make up done for a special event , all under the same roof, It feels more like a high end spa than a gym. This place actually makes working out fun and relaxing which will go a long way towards sticking to a program. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Special shout out to Maria who signed me up with a no pressure to up-sell approach she sold me what I needed to get started and showed me what extras I could add when I am ready. I am looking forward to joining a group for motivation and accountability. Not cheap but worth every red cent. read more

Our family visited San Antonio recently, and we're pleasantly surprised that we could visit Lifetime on our hotel key. My good friend had passes, but we didn't need them! Three boys, two women, and my husband......it was a fantastic week! The staff was very professional, even the younger employees! Classes were held at just the right times, and again, excellent and professional. I am a Fitness Director, and have been certified as an instructor for over 15 years; classes did not disappoint. My husband and I had espressos in the cafe every day. Prices were reasonable there, and all items were healthy. No one asked for any information, and we were treated with great respect, even for out-of-towers. I wish there was a club near me in Massachusetts....we'd join in a minute! read more

WORST Membership Change Policy ever! If you want to get ripped off for Membership Change Fees this is the gym to join! I gave them a change request for a member to be removed off my account and they took 55 DAYS to update my account meaning they charged me an ENTIRE EXTRA MONTH to get the account updated! Seriously? This is how much they care about their customers? HORRIBLE customer service! Heather the business operations person was most irritating to say the least! I would not recommend joining this gym! I would take a look at Gold's Gym about a mile away for better customer service and lower monthly rates! read more

Apparently pausing memberships only last for a limited time, therefore, my account was reactivated and now had to re-pause which require 30 day notice. $200 down the drain. Kindly asked manager to work with me since the membership was not used for the month that it was re-activated and didn't recall when I needed to re-pause the membership with 30 day notice. I was rudely treated by the manager with no more than a "look at your contract" and "on the bright side you have another month with Lifetime." This condescending Manager didn't care that it was an honest mistake or that money was tight for me due to a unforeseen circumstances. The lack of empathy and behavior of staff isn't worth it even with the status of "private club." The club only cares about getting their money and sales, not about customers. Save your money and go with a company who genuinely cares about existing, new, or potential customers. read more

I signed up with lifetime fitness in on February 22, 2016 while they were having a promotion for no enrollment fees. I paid a prorated amount for February's membership and a $199 fee that was supposed to be the monthly payment for March (the regular monthly payment was $99 but I paid more for the first month to get a personal training special they had going on). I asked the sales associate several times if there were any admin and/or enrollment fees and he stated that there weren't. He stated that the $199 would be applied to March's membership fee and that I would not owe any additional funds until April. I was then charged a $99 + tax fee on March 1. I have now invested over $400 into this gym that totally deceived me regarding what I was paying for. They are trying to now tell me the $199 was an admin fee...which if that was told to me the day I signed up, I would have never done it. I would NEVER pay a $199 admin fee just to join a gym. I have called multiple times to try to resolve this and have left messages for Dustin the sales manager and have also tried talking to my original sales person, Ty. read more

Middle of the road weight room for the price. Overall, it is an OK gym for the price. Not the best I've seen and not the worst. There are a lot of extras including pool, sauna, cardio and basketball courts which are nice. However, if you are looking for a high class weight room--this is not it. If they are busy, good luck getting access to a squat rack or lat pull-down machine. Like most gyms, even when they are not busy, the dumb bells between 10-40 lbs. are sparse and often missing off the rack. This is surprising, because there is plenty of space for a little extra weight room equipment. About a third of the cardio area is not in use even when busy. The lack of weight clamps at each work station is a bit "ghetto." For the membership price, you would think they could afford a few extra muscle clamps. If you don't care about a decent weight room, it is probably a great gym for you. They do have a lot of classes including some that come with the membership. And I've never had a problem finding an available treadmill or elliptical machine. read more
