    Updating my review on my recent experiences. After being a member here for nearly 2 years I decided to not renew my membership. The coaches and classes are still fantastic but the gym itself has gone down hill. The Pilates and barre classes are now so full that you feel like you are working out almost on top of the person next to you and you have to stagger to avoid hitting someone. They also are repeatedly out of cleaning wipes and the equipment in the cycle room is always needing repair as well.

    The Sad Truth I've been a member of TruFusion for over three years. While the instructors are truly amazing, the management has been consistently disappointing. I used to love being part of the TruFusion community, but the reality is hard to ignore: the space is extremely limited. With only three rooms, classes are almost always full -- and so are the waitlists. Worse yet, classes often exceed the capacity they should, creating a cramped and uncomfortable experience. The decline in management became obvious when basic essentials started disappearing -- first sweat towels, then resistance bands, and now even weights. Imagine paying $170 a month, arriving at a packed class, and discovering there's no equipment available. Management's excuse was that two weights-based classes were happening simultaneously -- but that's no excuse. If there isn't enough equipment, they shouldn't be overbooking classes. On top of the overcrowding and lack of equipment, the facility itself has become noticeably neglected. Equipment is often not properly cleaned between uses, and the floors clearly need to be power washed -- something that should be a basic standard for a gym, especially one positioning itself as a luxury fitness studio. Sadly, this is where my 3+ year membership comes to an end. I'm moving on to a gym that knows how to manage capacity, maintain their facility, and truly take care of their members.

    I absolutely love group classes and Trufusion does it best. I've tried several yoga/pilates/bootcamp classes in town but Trufusion offers more classes, easy sign up, great deals, and awesome instructors with great music. On weekdays, the time starts as early at 5:45AM and end as late as 8:30PM, and on the weekends the times are 8:30AM to 12:00PM. My personal favorite classes: - Hot pilates - Tru Ride - Hot barre (a must try to burn out every muscle group in your body) - Battle ropes (book a week in advance or go on the sign-up list, don't be intimidated, Billy M. is great) - Barefoot bootcamp - Tru Yin - Vinyasa I appreciate the sign up aspect for classes so the rooms aren't too full, the motivated and energetic instructors, the fun music, the clean floors and restrooms, the cool towel after a hot a class, and most importantly the friendly staff who greets me by my name. Thank you for making me sweat and hopefully I will be beach body ready by summer.

    So Ive been to a number of different Gyms - from lifetime, to Pure Barre, to CrossFit, to Cycle bar, you name it I've tried it. TruFusion was on the list of places I've tried years ago and I ended up coming back and signing a one year contract with them about 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. All of the trainers are amazing and so lively and upbeat, it makes you enjoy the classes. I've tried almost every class they have to offer and they have all been amazing and challenge you in different ways, I've even gone so far as to "double up" and do a HIIT style workout and immediately after walk into a more calm yoga class and that diversity is one of my favorite things about Tru. They have make up wipes, blow dryers, razors all available in the locker rooms, showers that FEEL clean. Some people comment about the issue in class size and it being hard to get in at the more popular times but honestly if you plan your workouts a couple of days in advance I don't think I have ever not made it into a class even when I had to join the waitlist. Not to mention after only 2 months of coming consistently I've started receiving comments asked what my workout routine is which is an amazing feeling! 10/10 recommend.

    I started at this facility in Feb 2021 with the free class, then $15 for 30 days, then went to 3 month, then went to a year contract. Since day 1 I fell in love with the beautiful facility (very clean&new), cooling towels for the workout, shower towels etc, fell in love with the amount of class times 5am-8:30pm, variety of instructors and people there are actually really nice and friendly. The instructors know your name, as well as front desk check in. There's even a lobby of workout clothes and gear to shop. There's 5 different rooms: Cycle, Sweat, Rock, and 2 yoga ones. I would definitely try it out, you won't be disappointed! Variety, encouragement, challenge, fun, and building friendships with the same goals.

I started out 2 months ago as an online lifestyle client, having no formal training before, and since the process began, I have decided to not only compete, but to sign on for continued training post competition, and compete in the spring. My first competition is 24 weeks away. I have lost 18 lbs in 2 months, weight I didn't know I was holding, I have not cut out all of the carbs in my diet(in fact I'm eating whole nutrient dense foods now than before). My training plan and cardio plan is supported by Tina herself as well as an in person coach in San Antonio weekly to tweak my movements. For a long time I have struggled with body dysmorphia (as lots of young women do) and have bounced between physically demanding sports. For this reason, I do not count calories or weigh myself daily, Tina has programmed my diet in a way that gives her full control. I eat what she tells me, and work at the intensity level she asks of me. I cannot explain the amount of freedom and confidence that comes with hiring someone who knows your goals and gets you there safely. It's like boxing up my self criticism and giving it to someone else to handle. However, this program is tough(one of the most mentally and physically demanding things I have ever done), and it requires honesty and transparency on all counts. Tina is THERE FOR YOU, even through deviations. If you are serious about transforming your body and your perspective- I recommend her for it all. Through her move to California she has not ceased communication or attentiveness. She is passionate, serious about her work, critical of movements and form, knowledge of all things relevant to competing, and can help you hit new goals.

Two days after payment cleared, she announced she was leaving San Antonio for California within a month. That month turned into a few weeks. Initially she tried to persuade me and my workout partner to work with her online. After requesting refund instead, I was eventually shorted one session. Tina has ignored my communication to review her schedule and my swipe-in days to reconcile the days she left early and the day she overslept and did not show. In other words, she's just ignoring me. I feel she was deceptive from the beginning. She knew she was leaving when she offered us the dual workout plan and used our payments to fund her relocation. My recommendation is to use someone with integrity.

I signed up for the 6 week 20 lb challenge and just finished my 6 weeks yesterday and lost 25.7 lbs, yay! The Camp has exceeded my expectations. Plain and simple, stick with the program and you will see the results. The trainers (Julia, Nikki, and Charles) do a phenomenal job pushing you to challenge yourself in ways you didn't think possible. What I like about coming here is there's people on all different fitness levels but one common goal: to be healthy and fit. The 6 week challenge is tough as you will follow a strict diet as well as attending daily fitness classes. Luckily you have support every step of the way and it feels great to watch the pounds shed and your endurance grow. It's been amazing to see how much I really am capable of. The camp's motto is simple and sums it up perfectly: Stay Fit Don't Quit!

I loved going to the classes so much, I decided to continue going and I still go as of March 2017. Chad is my favorite trainer I have ever worked with. He adjusts the workouts to fit your personalized needs/goals which is something I was looking for in the beginning. I tried Crossfit, but I really couldn't lift what they were telling me to. When I worked with chad he started me on things I could actually do and we slowly worked our way up - this is all while the group is working at the same time on the same thing; it's all based on your personal max-outs. Chad is also the type of trainer who gives you your space. He isn't on top of you of why you're not at a class but at the same time, knows when you're just being lazy! He is also very understanding and flexible. The 5:30 am class is a little too early for me, but the 6:30 am class is too late so he suggested I come at 6 am and I work between the classes. It's great and really fits my needs! If you're looking to get started in fitness or looking for someone to help you continue your journey you have found the right place!

The workouts and the people are absolutely amazing :D ! I really feel like Ron (the manager) and the exceptional coaches here really want to push you to do your best :D ! They really embrace current members and new members :) ! And I really the Orangetheory family environment :D ! I have attended classes by Terrelle, Alyssa and Vicky :) ! I haven't attended classes by Jerry or Kristian. I have to admit that I can never get up early enough for Jerry's early bird morning classes! Haha :D ! But I got to meet him at Orangetheory's Happy Hour social at Chicken N Pickle :D ! I have taken Coach Vicky's classes the most because her classes fit the best with my work schedule :) ! She may be tiny. But she really is like a Tide Pod bursting with tons of energy :D ! She is really amazing and awesome with correcting my form during all of the exercises, and making sure I don't get injured :) ! If she senses that, for instance, certain dumbbells are too heavy, she will advise me to use lighter ones :) ! Overall, it's incredible how, for both the 2G and 3G classes, all of the coaches pay very close attention to all of their participants during their respective classes :) ! The 3G classes are generally larger, with a max of about 36 participants. The 2G classes are smaller, with a max of 24 participants. It's usually best to prebook your classes, whether you are taking a 2G or a 3G, just to make sure you secure a spot ;) ! Otherwise, you might get waitlisted! Some of these classes get really full really fast! I highly recommend this Orangetheory location, whether you want to get into a routine for exercise, or whether you are aiming to achieve certain goals :) ! The Orangetheory staff and family here will make your time completely worthwhile here, and you will meet a lot of amazing people :D !
