Professional, friendly and caring. What else can you ask for? And the cherry on top, best massage I've ever had, hands down.

I had been thinking about…read moregetting a massage for a while, since it had been over a year, and this business was right across South Cobb Drive from the Planet Fitness that I usually go to. I did check the Yelp reviews, and there were 6 non-recommended reviews. Even though the reviews were not recommended, they generally seemed positive. Since I had very little time left before my vacation, I decided to give the place a try. When I walked in, there was only one person working, and luckily they were available to give me a massage. They had a menu of services listed on the desk. A regular one hour massage is $70, but I decided to go for the one hour deep tissue massage for $80. One odd thing is that I had to pay for the massage up front, however, I was still able to add a tip after the service. Every massage place has a different style, including this place. You never really know what to expect the first time you go. The massage began without the use of oil, but it still felt fine. A lot of pressure was used, but I expected that with a deep tissue massage. Even though I had gone to the chiropractor three hours earlier, one part of my spine between my shoulder blades popped back into place during the beginning of the massage. It must have been out of place for months, and I'm not sure why the chiropractor didn't address it. Various pressure points were used during the massage, and it definitely helped my muscles to relax, even though parts of a deep tissue massage are not always comfortable. I was asked at various points if I was doing fine and if the pressure was good. I've had many massages over the years, and I could tell that the person had a lot of massage experience. At the end of the massage, I could tell that I felt relaxed. Any tight spots that I had were gone. For the next two days, I noticed that the area between my shoulder blades felt different. My spine must have been out of alignment for so long, that my muscles were readjusting. It has now been a week and a half after my massage. I still feel good, and my spine has held the adjustment. I plan to get a massage at least monthly, and I will come back to this place. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure that they have availability. I was very lucky that I walked in at the right time with no appointment.

I stumbled across Healing Massage on Yelp. Despite only having 3 reviews i still decided to give a try however they dont have a legitimate website I was able to find to view prices so I called. On their Yelp page they have advertised "spring special for $59.99 pre-book only". When I called to book I was told 1 hour full body $80 and when I mentioned the advertised special on Yelp and thats how I found them, she says "ok i give you $10 off, for $70". Im like no your advertisement says $59.99. I cant trust a company that conducts business like this. It unprofessional with snake car salesman vibes. Im very serious when it comes to spa and the places I choose to spend my money. It's not just about the massage but the entire experience a establishment gives. I will NOT be trying out this place. Tired of businesses that dont stick by any principles and provide mediocre experience.

Like most folks these days - I've been stressed and worried. So I decided to treat myself to a…read moremassage. This place is close to my home and I was in the plaza running errands - so it seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately - I have to give this place 2 stars - and that's actually being kind of generous. When I arrived, an Asian gentleman was actually exiting a suite a few doors down and he was accompanied by two little children. He was carrying what looked like a bucket or a caddy and a drill, so imagine my surprise when I realized he walked in behind me and it turns out he was the receptionist and the masseuse. Some things to know: 1) the receptionist / masseuse is male - there are no female staff members available 2) the receptionist / masseuse speaks little to no English. So communicating your massage needs will be extremely challenging. During much of my massage - I could not understand whether he was saying "Hurt?" or "Hard?" and he could not understand me when I said "that hurts" or "too hard". So when I was trying to tell him he was hurting my coccyx - he actually seemed to think I wanted him to press harder. I finally got him to understand by physically touching his hands and moving them away from the area. But then - he seemed to think I wanted no pressure for the rest of the massage. 3) I know this may be an odd thing to mention - but there is no liquid soap in the restroom. They use bar soap which I have never seen in a business restroom and I thought there was some sort of rule against this for business establishments. 4) Speaking off - when I undressed for the massage, he didn't go wash his hands before. And keep in mind, I'd just seen this man carrying power tools. I'm sure he used the hand sanitizer at the front desk, but I could hear him outside in reception talking to the little children while I was undressing and at no point did he walk down the hall and use the restroom. I knew where it was because I used the restroom before my massage. 5) At first - I could hear the kids in the reception area, talking but once the music came on - it drowned them out. The music was quite a bit louder than you'd typically experience during a massage. I don't know if it was deliberate - to drown out noise from reception and the other suites - but once again - there was no way for me to communicate this to masseuse. The gentleman seemed friendly. And the prices are on par with what you'd expect for this type of place. But the soap thing - coupled with the inability to request a female masseuse and the language barrier issue - means I won't be back.
