Understandably, issues about wait times are an issue for patients needing Fasting bloodwork done is…read moreunavoidable. The staff nevertheless are are very good and pleasant My issue is that I learned through my daughter that my lab results were sent to her fertility clinic aswell as my appropriate doctors for the second time in 2 years I reported this serious breach of trust the first time last year which resulted in no investigation or report of findings. I was in poor health and was unable to followup. Just recently, my three physicians received the results (which was confirmed) with my inquiry based on the requisitions. However, my daughter's fertility clinic also received my lab results. It is serious problem that MY results with personal information were mishandled and carelessly shared to a clinic based on my and my daughter's last name? Fortunately, the clinic brought this to my daughter's attention. I contacted LifeLabs again. Two times I was told the onis was on me to find out how this clinic received my results. This is not possible because I am not a patient there and they cannot devulge this information. After the first complaint the promised escalation and enquiry never happened and was blown off after the second attempt to get this looked into. It is infuriating that this happened, but the refusal to look into this by LiveLabs demonstrates a lack of interest in investigating and resolving how patients records are handled. How often does this situation occur and patients are unaware of the mishandling of private personal medical information? Mistakes happen, but the refusal on the part of LifeLabs to investigate and address this issue is egregious and irresponsible. A lawsuit is waiting to happen!

Genia was so kind, patient, caring and esp professional. My sisters veins are so small it's difficult to get blood. But Genia was so concerned for her welfare I so appreciate the staff in this office always so kind and caring.

I've been using Dynacare Labs. near my home for decades and they've always been TERRIFIC…read more Had to go to this (different) location today to hand in a routine medical specimen: 1. Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

2401 Yonge Street, Toronto…read more I avoid getting blood work done at all costs. I'm a fainter, and have "blood from a stone" veins. However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. Thank you Cristina for making my worst nightmare actually MORE than tolerable now : ) Lisa P

I've never been to this location before and I thought all locations are standardized, and this one is closer. It's inside the Shoppers Drug Mart therefore not as big as other locations, since I'm not familiar with its setting, I hesitated a bit when I get there, but the front reception kept asking me to wait that it won't be long ... However, the nurse who took my blood test poked into my vein so painfully, that my arm got bruised even after a few days later. Don't know what went wrong, I thought Dynacare is a big company and their staff should be well-trained and proficient, very disappointed with the service provided

NOTE: The entrance to this lab is gained inside the Shoppers Drug Mart (at the rear of the store just left of the pharmacy department). I had the paperwork from my Doctor along with my health card ready for the person at the service counter. Some services are not covered by OHIP and you'll have to pay upfront out of pocket. There's seating for about 20 people. The TV monitor on the wall displays the wait times before you're seen by a lab technician. Staff were polite and efficient. I was in/out in 30 minutes.

Even though I…read moream working from home now and I am no longer in the downtown core every day, I still make the trip here for all my doctor appointments. I don't understand why people complain about the front desk staff not being friendly chatty etc... they are no there to be your BFFs, they are there to do their jobs... If you want to chit chat, go find yourself some friends! I think they are very efficient and they do their jobs well. Remember that along with checking you in, they are also answering the phone and email and a bunch of other things, so have some patience. For a downtown walk -in, the wait time to see a doctor is very fast. Doctors are great and will take time to listen to your issues. Now with COVID, you have the opportunity to send an email to have a doctor call you back and a doctor calls back within one hour! They can diagnose over the phone and even send emailed prescriptions to your local pharmacy. I really have nothing bad to say about this doctor's office and I truly think it's the best one in Toronto!!

The place is brand new, it's difficult to find if you're new but follow these instructions. From Queen and Yonge (Queen subway Station), walk south until you see the Rexall, then make sure you are on the north east corner of Richmond and Yonge, then walk east. You will see the waiting area of the walkin clinic. Registration took 2 minutes for new patients. The receptionists are very kind and the doctors are competent, efficient, and caring. Other clinics that I've gone to (like Lockwood) make you wait 45 minutes to 1 hour -- sometimes 2 hours, WTF?? That is ridiculous. This clinic is LIGHTNING FAST! ZIP and your DONE. Plus, the Rexall pharmacy is next door!
