I had to wait few months for MRI appointment and see a specialist. I decided to try physiotherapy while waiting for my appointments. In my first appointment, Ali listened to me carefully, examined my shoulder, neck and limited movement. He diagnosed it's frozen shoulder, explained what are the stages of frozen shoulder, took the time to show me what muscles/tendons are causing the pain, what should or shouldn't I do and planed a treatment routine using manual stretches (very painful!!), Laser, ultrasound, Acupuncture twice a week. After few weeks, my range of motions increased and had less pain. He even thought me how to put a pillow under my shoulder and arm at night so there is less pressure on my shoulder so I can get some sleep. He is very professional, knowledgeable, informative and cares about his patients. I still book appointment to see Ali every couple months for maintenance and relieve the tension buildup in my neck & shoulder due to my type of work. The space is small but well-organized, with only two massage rooms and a decent area for exercises and physiotherapy. It doesn't try to be a luxury spa, but the staff are talented, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making the visit comfortable and focused on results rather than frills. If you prefer a female massage therapist like I do, be aware that availability is limited to Wednesdays and Saturdays, and appointments fill up fast. Online or phone booking is possible, but the website can be confusing at times. They also require your credit card on file before the appointment and don't accept Amex. Despite these minor inconveniences, the staff handle everything with professionalism, and the treatments are effective -- pain relief, relaxation, and targeted exercises are all well-covered. They even have visiting chiropractors and neuro therapists on certain days, which adds extra value. My only suggestions for improvement would be adding a staff rating system or database so clients can choose their preferred therapist more easily, and making the website simpler and more reliable for booking. Full disclosure I came for 3 or so appointments. My physiotherapist came to a similar conclusion about my injury as my family doctor had, which was a positive first sign. From there, I felt like I barely saw my physiotherapist and when I did, she seemed rushed. A half hour appointment would consist of having ultrasound and TENS machines used on my knee (TENS machine is you lying alone in a room with the TENS machine for 15 minutes), so I'd have human contact for literally 5 minutes out of the half hour I was there. It just didn't seem worth the money and most importantly, the time spent. Any physiotherapist can give you exercises to do, but it takes the right one to truly be invested in your care, spend the time with you and ensure you're making progress week after week. All in all I felt like this clinic relied way too much on the use of ultrasound and TENS machines (at least for my particular injury), and the lack of person-to-person care made me take my bum knee elsewhere.

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.
