This #ThankYouThursday is dedicated to John, my chiropractor! I'm not kidding--after my first…read more appointment, the next day, my performance on the golf course improved significantly, and I managed to save 14 strokes compared to my previous game. So, if you're feeling a bit stuck or apprehensive about back cracking, perhaps give it a try... it might just change your life. John performs his back cracking magic and provides the necessary exercises and tools for achieving excellent posture. He sells his own lumbar back supports that work wonders if your chair doesn't already have them. Most importantly, he reminds me to breathe and relax my muscles throughout the day. If you're feeling tense, just give John 15 minutes, and he'll sort you out. Additionally, their services include massage and acupuncture. I've also had the opportunity to try Susan, a massage therapist at another clinic (who also serves here), and she possesses incredible strength. Despite her petite stature, you wouldn't believe this small Asian woman could apply so much pressure, but she does. As they say, "no pain, no gain." She used to be a doctor back in China so she has advance medical knowledge. Her recommendation led me to John, and since then, I haven't looked back. Bonus is they charge directly to my insurance without me paying and submitting paperwork later.

You cannot bring in your own water, but drinking water and towels are available. When you go upstairs, a staff member explains what to do. You change from your shoes into slippers and receive a loose-fitting top and shorts to wear. There are several different sauna rooms to try, with secure cubicles nearby where you can leave your phone before entering each room. The spa has separate men's and women's changing rooms with showers, a hot tub and plenty of useful amenities. You can also purchase facial masks. Beyond the saunas, there are far infrared-light lounge chairs to lie on, massage chairs, a quiet lounge for reading or relaxing, a sleeping room, a gym and computer stations if you need to work. There is also a restaurant if you get hungry, as well as spa treatments available for an additional cost. Many people brought books and spent time relaxing between the different rooms. It is a lovely place to slow down, unwind and spend several peaceful hours.

Very large place, mindfully decorated, with different rooms and plenty of resting space, a gym, several dry saunas, heated pools and jacuzzis, a cold plunge, a restaurant with actually really delicious meal options, and an entire upstairs area for massages... a computer room?? And games you can rent out?? I was thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately for me I wish the guests appreciated the space more... in the areas where they request for guests to be mindful of volume... there were too many loud guests... i wish people were more mindful of shared spaces. I noted that a lot of people were on their phones which sort of defeats the purpose of full relaxation. Now for the add ons where you will have to pay a bit extra... The food is so delicious. I have zero complaints... other than the fruit is a bit too expensive. But they have very sizeable portions for meals! Massage therapy was lovely... it started with a sound bowl for relaxation. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep. I went for the lymphatic massage and then it ended up becoming a deep tissue massage with hot rocks. In the end I think I spent like $325... entry fee and massage alone was $180 together... honestly I'd come again with a group of maybe 4 friends or by myself once in a while (and by a while I mean like maybe once a year)

Clean & tidy studio and very affordable rates, but that's all the nice things I can say. I paid $60 for a 60-minute deep tissue massage, and I left with a VERY sore back--a soreness that did not exist before. The massage was painful, and not in a good way. The masseuse rubbed my bones more than my muscles. 30% of the hour was spent smoothing lotion over my back and arms with no real muscle targeting. She also kept accidentally scraping her nails against my skin, which was just abrasive and painful. At some points, she left the room with no warning, and then would return like nothing happened. One of the times she returned, she said nothing and I was surprised by having hot, wet towels plopped on my back. She gave no indication beforehand to prepare me. The end of the massage was her tapping my head really hard, and then she stopped abruptly and said, "done." I was disoriented and confused, and she then said, "one hour? done. bye!" and left the room very rushed. Then, the music (which had been playing in the room off and on, with sudden stops) suddenly changed to an advertisement being played over the speaker. Not very relaxing. After the hour was complete, I was about to head out (I had already paid online), but the lady at the front said "you have to tip!" I was caught off-guard, but she repeated it. She told me that a normal tip is $10-$20 for a $60 massage, so I paid $15, but after leaving the place, I realized I only tipped because I felt pressured to. I left feeling worse than I did when I went in, and the fact that she ordered us to tip was just rude. I will say, at least it was significantly cheaper than the other massage places I could find. $60 for an hour isn't nothing, but at least it wasn't $120 like the other places. The studio seemed clean and tidy. It's just that the service itself was not only disappointing but actually painful. I don't recommend.
