Yes i just resently worked for yall amd yall fired me i feel i was done wrong . i worked 25 hrs quarter back at newell in maryville tn threw yall . my last check was 25hrs and yall done me wrong u fired me i cant give a two week notice for being fired and then drop my pay rate to 7. 25. A hr from 11.50 a hr plus 2 dollar covid for my pay rate they didnt ever fix quarter back back pay was promised to and they never fixed it i feel like i should have had the correct quarterback pay for newel. If there was a chance for negative stars, I'd leave that. Myself and my three roommates went in wanting to apply to Newell Brands (Rubbermade) factory. The interview went fine, we got the job, everything seemed well. Two of my roommates were all but strong-armed into taking a position there that they didn't want- they wouldn't stop pushing it until they accepted. We went to the orientation and the Lifestyle guy there was handing out out papers for when to come back and all that. Something on mine was wrong and when I asked him if it was just a mistake or if I needed to do something to have it fixed, he just said to call the number on the paper and tell them. He also said the same thing to anyone else who had a question, not bothering to help or answer anything. In the paperwork we filled out, it said that we would only pay $20 for equipment- they charged me $40 on my first check. Orientation was also for four hours and they barely paid for half of that. During the maybe one month that we were at the factory, any time we called out or had to leave early we would receive a voicemail from them "making sure we were coming int for our next shift." Every. Single. Time. They also called us and threatened to cut us down to minimum wage if we didn't show up for our next shift (they called on our day off.) They also called, shortly after the first threat, to threaten to fire us if we didn't come in for our next shift. We go in to pick up our checks and are told by the Lifestyle employee at the factory that we have to go to the actual location of the staffing agency to get our checks. We had never been told this before, even though he claims we should have known. And when we tried to mention starting a new job elsewhere he shut us down and just kept repeating that since we didn't work our two weeks notice we had to go to the agency or wait for it to be mailed. He didn't listen to us after hearing any mention of another job, no matter what we told him. We went straight to the agency from there, maybe a ten minute drive if that, and the man there told us that our checks would be in the mail around monday since our assignments had "been terminated already" and that our checks were already in the mail. This was not our last check by the way. He also kept changing his story when we'd ask him anything. And when we said that the reason one of us missed so much was because she kept getting sick and the factory would force us to take her home since they wont allow her to stay in the breakroom until the rest of us finished, and we carpool. He asked why we couldn't just drop her off and come back. We told him that we live an hour away and don't have gas money for that. His reply is, and I quote exactly, "Well that's because you never come into work!" I tell him that I have only missed 1 and a 1/2 shifts and he just gaped at me for a couple minutes before going back to talking to us like we were lazy and just never went to work and were stupid. He was extremely condescending the entire time and couldn't even keep his story straight during the not even 30 minutes we were there. When told about the threats he just ignored them and kept talking like we never said anything. He also claimed to have "called us constantly" even though we only had five missed calls from them between the four of us for the entire week. When asked if we had already been fired without being notified he said "Yes, theoretically." But our badges, the only way in or out of the building, worked fine just ten minutes earlier when we went for our checks. And since mine didn't work for a week because two numbers were mixed up, they wouldn't have worked if we'd been fired because they would have been deactivated. They expected us to go back to work and continue working until they decided to let us know what had happened. And on top of that, we were given 8 'credits', meaning we could miss 8 shifts, and we had been treated like trash long before we even got close to that. The way they help you get a job needs improvement. When calling up their candidates for the job, they tell you to come down to talk about the job they have for you, only to tell you the position has been filled. Most other agencies will respect your time by telling you about the opportunity over the phone. Lifestyle will not do that. I suggest other agencies if you are looking for a job until they improve their ways over at Lifestyle. read more

Please read in it's entirety! I was interested in working with a staffing agency because they are suppose to specialize in talent acquisition. However, what I encountered at Lifestyle Staffing places them on a pyramid for being a complete embarrassment. I have never written a review before but it is imperative to use this dialogue as a touchstone for evaluating very distasteful behavior. I was a small business owner seeking re-entry in the corporate sector and decided to make a random inquiry into this agency. This next comment is not meant to be comical but to raise awareness! Their choice of apparel was the equivalent of a small town floozy at best. As far as setting a professional example, they require much needed remedial training. Next, the lack of communication is overwhelming as these two individuals do not even possess basic interactive and communication skills. They are beyond unorganized and show no interest in caring about your time. I scheduled an appointment through a regional manager (Gina) to meet with Phoebe or Kelli at the Madison ( 672 Washington) location. Kelli walked out without making an direct eye contact, failed to introduce herself and asked that I complete an application. After my application was completed, I informed them that all of my information was entered. Kelli asked for two forms of identification and I stated that I have my driver's license. She told me to return when I have both a picture ID and Social Security identification. Had I been informed of this policy, I would have come prepare. But, this is where their genuine concern for other's people time is non-existent. Please prospective employers and potential candidates. Do not waste your valuable time engaging with people who are not fit to offer full-bodied solutions, credible work and do not conduct themselves in a professional and business manner. You will regret contacting them! I promise this will be the case. LSS is not the staffing service for the professional or if you're a senior. Age does matter to this bunch. But what really gripes me is they will not extend the common courtesy to reply back to you to inform you they chose another candidate etc. They say they are sooo busy with all the other apps that they do not have the time to reply back, right? My one experience I had with them was a waste of time. Keep in mind, THEY reached out to me after seeing my resume and telling me I would be a great fit for a job that I was genuinely interested in once presented to me. Of course, as a job seeker being told that is very common and something to not always take to heart. However, because I was interested in the position, I decided to come in for an interview, that was REALLY just applying for their agency. The "interview" was literally 3 questions and was told that I'd be in contact later in the week in regards to the job I was "interviewing" for with a second interview. As someone who lacks a lot of free time, I felt that they contacted me with other intentions that I don't appreciate. I have worked with many other temp agencies who are at least courteous enough to keep me in the loop and let me know that a position is no longer available. First off, I and along with 30 other employees were charged for background checks that we were not informed about. We were all told when we were hired that the position was temp to hire but the company the assignment was for told us it was only temporary. So there was 2 lies told by the staffing agent. Second, I worked on the assignment for over 6 months and the staffing agent would never send the paperwork for direct deposit. This also happened to everyone I worked with at my assignment. Third, the manager at my assignment would tell this staffing agent to let people go so the Staffing agent would call the employee as soon as they would clock out and then never allowed them to retrieve their belongings and took weeks for the Staffing agent to pick up. Fourth, the Staffing agent called myself and 3 other employees on a Friday night as we were leaving work to tell us the assignment was ending due to no work. When we filed unemployment the staffing agent lied and said that we never told the agency our assignment ended and said we quit. I am currently gathering evidence with the other employees to prove that this Staffing agent and Life Style Staffing is screwing people. After asking me 20 questions about the type of position we are trying to fill and having me and my bank complete a credit review, they only came back to say they had no one for our position due to other commitments they had with their other clients.
