I recently participated in a scheduled online group interview for a photographer position at Lifetouch Photography. Despite many members of the group logging in early or on time, we were left waiting for the interviewer well past the start time. Eventually, I began being repeatedly removed from the call without explanation. Assuming it was a connection issue I rejoined the call and was booted again. After three attempts, the interviewer finally appeared only to inform us that all positions had been filled and the meeting was canceled. No advance notice or apology was offered. This level of miscommunication and avoidance of accountability is deeply unprofessional and disrespectful to candidates. They sent me the wrong class photos, this company is awful. I have asked for a refund and was just told no one is available.

If I could give fewer stars I would. We order our kid's pictures every year. That's EIGHT children. It is a LOT of money. Last year they "lost" one of our children's photos. This means we do not even know if they will be in the yearbook, so do we order it or not???? If you contact customer service do NOT expect any help. It is a total scam run by bots. Everything is a pre-written response. Even when talking to a human they are listening from home somewhere else in the world and, again, can only give pre-written responses. They asked me to upload photos of the damaged photos. I wish the photos were damaged. Nope, they just do not exist. In fact I have had the exact same conversation and been asked the exact same questions multiple times over the past six months. These people take pictures of our kids. We trust them. We shouldn't! I hate hate hate hate LifeTouch, they are the worst company ever. Their phone system is stupid, their chat service is stupid. Its been 4 days since my sons picture was taken and they said there is NO WAY I can order it. When my daughter was in preschool, I ordered a class photo & paid for it. It never arrived. I called and asked them & they said "too bad, we can't access it anymore". I didn't get refunded and I didn't get the picture. I've watched this company go down hill over the years. My daughters elementary school decided to go with a different photography service and it really has been the best thing in the world. I wouldn't recommend LifeTouch to anyone!!! read more

If i could give a 0. I totally would... They are extremely understaffed and they keep you on hold forever when you call. Thet promote a call back service howevet even when you opt in to have someone to call you back. More times than not they wont even call back.... Then when you go on to the Lifetouch website and try to place a order that way because clearly thats faster than trying to talk to a live oerson... There website dont give you tge option to choose a shipping method. Its just defaulted to sending your order to the school... Um, im.sorty but there should always be a option for consumers to choose. Not you decide for them... And if they are that busy and i understand things do get busy... Hire more help year round or seasonal.... Dont make busy times and lack of staffing the publics problem.... And the hold times are ludscris... The other day last week i was on hold for 48 minutes and about that last friday... Called once today already with no call back and now as im typing this review im working on another 20 minutes... Very poor service... And all you hear is "if you want to hold your place in line and have someone call you back please press 1" they dont even give you a how long the hold time is time frame. Update: But just an update on this review I did get a call back and I was in the middle of placing my order on the phone for my nephew! They start asking me security questions and then they tell me that since I am not the legal guardian or parent of my nephew which I know that I'm not they couldn't take my order over the phone they were directing me to the website to do it there but I don't have the access code for my nephew's Elementary School since picture day has already passed and then they tell me again well since you're not his parent we can't provide you with the access code that's just the policy! To wish I started challenging major big-time I said what kind of policy do you have when you turn away business from people just because they are not a legal guardian of a student that's the question I asked them and they kept going on and around in circles saying that it was a policy and they couldn't do anything about it their company is so bad that when you ask to talk to a supervisor you are sitting there with Dad are waiting and waiting and waiting for supervisor to get around to coming on the phone at Tarrant Lee there are so many issues with that company from customers that their managers can't or supervisors can't take phone calls and they basically pretty much also said that there cuz their supervisors were too busy for their customers. What does that say about the company the time waiting for a supervisor is so long as well because they're dealing with other customers that means that the company has so much complaints and are doing so much bad business and given that service. Everyone is wanting to talk to a supervisor there should not be that many people needing to talk to a supervisor. This company is customer unfriendly and made like to turn away business from people who are not a parent of a student so if you're a grandparent or a tour Uncle of a child and you call Lifetouch or anything like that they're not going to want your business or can I turn it away because you are not the parent of a child that you're calling about so yeah that's what they like to do they have one whole time they're customer on Fran they turn away business from people who are not a legal guardian or a parent of a student and they have a ton of complaints from customers because their supervisors are so busy dealing with the customers because they have so many complaints. Terrible. They provide coupon codes that apply successfully, but then the discounts disappear when you go to submit the final payment. Overpriced for the quality. Customer service is a joke. Shame on this company. read more

This is the first time our school used the company for photos and i hope last. Send some cash with my kids to pay but never received any change. Have been calling them but apparently they issue no refunds because they can't prove I actually paid. What a joke! Gave me quite a runaround and no money back. Will be supporting local business rather than this disrespectful large corporation. read more

My daughter missed picture day and was told to come during school hours a couple weeks later for a makeup day. She arrived at 1:30 (and hour and 45 minutes before school ended) and the photographer was packing up and refused to take her photo!! Terrible customer service! read more

I paid for but did not get the digital image even after 7 times calling in to their customer service. I had to do this last year too and finally got it. This year no luck. Seriously? You don't get what is promised. Worst company ever. Zero stars. read more

Very upset and unhappy. I took my baby son for a picture for sibling day and they didn't have a baby kit ( which is really stupid) Also, I paid for a package with the school and all they sent was a sample pack of my son! They took the $50 and we haven't received our pictures. We've called 3 times and no one answers or calls us back. Also, my mom went to the retake day and asked about the pictures and they acted like they had no idea where they were and were making excuses that they have to develop so many pictures... well, I don't give a shit how many they have to develop. I want my picture package I paid for. It's flat out FRAUD to take someone's money for a certain service or product and not provide what is being paid for. So not happy! read more

The Lifetouch People have always given us great photographs of our children for the last 20 years. Their quality is great and the price is very affordable. Packages are customizable and you can order gift items on their website. The mylifetouch website was not working properly and would not show an order, so I had called the 800 number for lifetouch to find out where the order went and let them know I did not get a confirmation email of my purchase. The 1st gentleman I spoke with kept talking over me (saying uh huh, uh huh...while I tried to read him the picture day code number) and was not listening...He could not find my portrait id or access code so I could order the pictures for my son who had thrown out his proof page. After 30 minutes of hold time and 30 minutes of working with him I was so frustrated and said no thank you to any other help and hung up. I called the Sandy Lifetouch office after finding their number on facebook and she had all my questions answered in less than 5 minutes and my order confirmed. She also gave me the ID and code so I could get my sons pictures ordered as well. The next day I decided to call the 800 number to see if the service was always so awful. I got another representative and she was incredibly helpful. She even noticed that the 2 packages I ordered came through as different prices so she refunded me the difference and gave me the lower price for both. I wish there was a way to track the first representative who was so awful, because it would be good for him to receive some additional training & correction so that the company does not look bad! read more

What a bunch of idiots........ sorry for being so blunt but wow. Hiring kids that can't even operate there software let alone handle getting the proper info. And on top of it I finally got my kids pictures months later AND WHEN THEY CAME IN THE FREAKING MAIL ONE OF THEM WAS MISSING. This business is a shame. From now on I will actually go somewhere like jc penny's and have them take care of me. ALSO note that this is the third time I have used these guys for my sons sport photos and darn near same results. DON'T give these guys your money. read more

This company is absolutely terrible at taking photos. We have never received good pictures of our kids when taken at school. I also hate how they make my kids bring the pictures home and then we have to either send them back or keep them and send back a payment. They take pictures even if I don't send the order form then they send the pictures home with a note that I need to pay. I always just send them back. read more

We forgot to send money on picture day to school so I tried to order online. The online system was working fine, but there was nowhere to order a class photo (which is all I really wanted) I did the live help option and was told that I had to call customer service to order. I did. The person was very nice but not a native English speaker. It took 25 minutes of spelling out everything to get my picture ordered. That has to cost the company a lot of money. Life touch - just add an order button for the class photo on the website! Why put customers through this? I was considering trying to go back and add additional photos from other years, but there is NO WAY I will do that now. I would rather not have the memories than take so long to handle such a simple request. read more

When I scheduled the weeks with the photographer, I specifically asked if we would get the church directories done by Christmas. She said, no problem. We received our directories in March! The biggest complaint about the photographer was that she would take 2 pictures and people didn't like either one. She would only redo them if you requested. Her customer service was lacking. She was rude to the volunteers. And a lot of members complained that she was rude to them. She received very bad marks from almost everyone. There were many times that it looked like she hadn't showered in a while. It was very unprofessional. She did give other people options of backdrops, but she did not to my family. Once the photos began to be shipped, we got so many complaints about the products. The biggest complaint was the frames arriving broken. When my frame arrived, it wasn't exactly broken, but had been so badly constructed that there were gaps in the corners. This was a very common complaint among our members. When we submitted the church roster, the directions said to download the info from our database and not make any changes. That was a huge mistake. I included notes when I submitted everything and it appeared like no one had read the notes. It was a mess. I decided to scrap that proof. I downloaded the database into an excel spreadsheet and edited it myself, only sending the info I wanted published. That made the next proof look better. We hit our deadlines on every single step of the way, but it would take a month to get anything back. Here is an email exchange with one of your reps regarding getting anything back in a timely manner. "We received your proof book and will be reviewing your corrections" DOES NOT MEAN "your Proof is almost ready to go out." I felt completely dismissed and lied to by the rep. I was so angry & frustrated when this happened. ----------EMAIL START--------------------- This email is saying "We're almost there. We received your proof book and will be reviewing your corrections. If you requested another proof we will send a new proof soon." Meaning your Proof is almost ready to go out (which will be 1/31) sorry for any confusion reviewing corrections means making the corrections :) We did received Proof on the time frame you listed below :) ----------EMAIL END--------------------- I cannot emphasize enough that our photo sessions ended the first week in November, we hit every deadline and we received our directories the last week of March, almost 5 MONTHS later! The review times and shipping times were ridiculously slow. Another thing that slowed production was the lack of following instructions. For example, there was one photo that I had requested you pull from the previous directory. I stated "(Name) is in the picture - that is ok. But, do NOT use her name. She is deceased." After a number of weeks, I get a phone message saying the proof is being delayed because they don't have a second name for this photo. The same day, I called and left a message and also sent an email explaining that the woman in the photo has passed away, but her husband would like her photo in the directory, so you should publish the photo as is, but do not use another name. A week later, I get an email saying they can't send me the proof until they know what to do about this photo. Once again I emailed and called! THREE times I gave the information, but was ignored. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated and upsetting this entire thing has been. The congregation is livid. Between bad photo session experiences, issues with the products that were ordered and the delay in getting the directories, I have been told by many members that I am not allowed to use Lifetouch again. And I agree. We will not being contacting Lifetouch the next time we do church photos. read more

The schools really need to find someone else to take the kids photos...They screw you over when it comes to the money part and the pictures are horrible...How can anyone be so dumb as to send out these pictures when they look that bad...and customer service reps are a joke and half read more

For this year it looks like Lifetouch has the business of Salt Lake County for their youth hockey program under their Lifetouch Sports umbrella. Last night was my sons night to have his picture taken and my wife and I was very disappointed with our experience. A few things happened that really turned me off to them. Now they do not actually take a team photo. They take individual photos and then "stitch" or "photoshop" them all into one shot. As a coach of my sons team I was not also given the opportunity to have my picture taken with him as I have had in years past. Also in years past pictures were done on the ice in front of a net or something similar. Now this all being said were not deal breakers for my wife and I and has still planned on ordering pictures. That is until my wife inquired with the gentleman as to why pictures were not on the ice and expressing her concerns with the team picture process. He got very defensive copping an attitude saying that would be a nightmare to do instead of addressing the concerns and maybe showing an example of how the team picture would turn out. After this my wife told him that she could take a better photo of my son, on the ice and we wouldn't be ordering. About this time I came into the area where the pictures were being taken and was speaking to my wife and the hockey program director about the process. He said well they will still take all the pictures in case you change your mind and want to order later. Something we still may have done after we had a chance to cool down. I noticed my son was getting his picture taken for the "magic photoshopped team picture" and tried to hand him his hockey stick so he could get the individual picture like the other kids. The gentleman running the show pushed the stick aside and told me "no not him, mom said no". So now at this point if we decide to order the pictures later we will not have the opportunity to as our son was not allowed to get his individual picture taken with his hockey stick. I am very disappointed with this company, especially their professionalism. I would not recommend them for pictures in any realm, not just sports. You should be able to trust a company to capture these memories and if you have concerns about how they do it or how it will look they should be able to explain their process without an attitude and blowing you off. read more

Completely horrible--they prey on churches and schools. The sales teams offer 'free' directories with one free picture. But they schedule long sales appointments with high pressure sales to buy overpriced packages of prints. And they have no kindness--they press even families who clearly can't afford the expense. Also, they force the church/school to do PR, scheduling, carrying equipment and editing. Then with us they ignored the typo and change requests provided (which is part of the written contract) and delivered erroneous printed directories with missing photos. Do not make the mistake of choosing them. read more

If I could give this company a negative review I would! These are the worst pictures I have gotten yet and their customer service is horrible. The quality was horrible and they sent the wrong background and layout. When I called the company they told me I would have to send the pictures back and have him go to the retake. Three weeks later the only thing they sent me was a proof sheet and no pictures! When I called to take care of this second issue the representative told me it would be another 3 weeks before I got my pictures. I asked them to expedite the shipping because it was their error, and they told me no! I said I needed the pictures sooner and they said there was nothing they could do. I would have to wait for them 3 to 4 weeks. Which is ridiculous, all they need to do is print them and spring for the expedited shipping to fix their error! I have already contacted my school and let them know how much better Bell photography did with my other child's school pictures. They said they had received lots of complaints from other parents would be contacting their representative. read more
