I have been a patient of his for over 5 years and he has shown nothing but confidence, professionalism, knowledge, patience and his bedside manner is impeccable. Wow... all I can say is wow. When I made my appointment for a consultation, I was told that there would not be anything available for three months out. That's understandable and I'm not angry about it, but the context is important. So three months go by and I get my phone/virtual consultation. I spoke to a nurse or receptionist who took down some basic info. Then I spoke to a exercise physiologist, a dietitian, and a physician assistant. I scheduled a follow up for the next month because they were knowledgeable and made me feel confident that I could do this and be successful. So today, a rep called me and said I didn't get a new patient packet. She said that I needed to fill it out by the second visit which is in three days from me writing this. Okay, no biggie. However, she then told me that a $400 dollar fee was required for the physiologist & dietician. I also can't do the program unless I see those two, so I can't even opt out of non-covered parts of the program to save money. So yeah, $400 that I need to come up with in three days. It is both hilarious and demented that they think it's possible for someone to pull that kinda money out of their ass in such a short amount of time. I ended up rescheduling for a later date to see if I could come up with that money, because I'm really trying to make a positive change in my life. Well, I just got the new patient packet, and it turns out they also have a yearly fee of $150. So that's $550 that I was not anticipating spending. I'm not understanding why I wasn't informed of this AT ALL in the last four months. Like, wouldn't it make sense to mention this when I made the first appointment or during the consultation even? That's FOUR MONTHS of my life wasted waiting patiently for these clowns and one month following their dumb plan getting my hopes up thinking that this was a possibility for me. I just called back and cancelled. I feel baited and switched, crushed and frustrated. If they forget to mention something like that I'm not risking another hidden fee or their surgeon forgetting a scalpel in me or something. These folks won't lose sleep over one cancelled appointment, but I'm back at square one and I'm really losing hope that I can have a fighting chance on my health journey. I wish I could join the many success stories they have, but I don't trust them. So yeah.. screw them all. I am 10 years post surgery and I am so happy with the professional experience that I have had here. If you follow the advice of the doctors, doctor assistant, nurses, Nutritionist and physical fitness experts you will do just fine. One of the qualities I was looking for before surgery was a group that would follow up and they do. I had the bariatric surgery and have lost over 100 pounds and kept it off. I had tried so many diets before my procedure I can't count them all. I was successful with them until I stopped doing the diet. I was not looking for a diet I was looking for a lifestyle change and I got it. It has truly changed my life. That being said this is not a cure it is only a vehicle to help you succeed. I'm 10 years out. Yes, I've put some weight back on, but NOT because the surgery didn't work. Five years after successful surgery, I needed two knees replaced, both within 2 years of each other (huge workout setback). Then, Achilles' spurs required two more surgeries following knee replacements. From 2015 through 2020, I've had 5 years of constant walking and working-out pain to restrict movement. I still thank God every day for Lifeweigh for, without them, the excess weight would have made my knee and Achilles surgeries a true nightmare (all have been successful). I'm looking forward to exercising again like I did in the past and motivated to succeed. The tools this group provided will only help. I still randomly attend the video monthly meetings and find them a great resource. The MDs and staff are fantastic, caring people. This has been a life saving procedure for me. I was expecting this to be much more difficult, but by following Dr. Rosen's, and Dr. Mikhail's directions the results have been very satisfying. It also helps that they have a team who sees you on every visit. They make sure you see not only the Dr., but also a dietician and an exercise therapist to make sure you stay on goal. I was looking up LifeWeigh's website so that I could refer them to my brother when I saw a couple of one star reviews. And while I do not post a lot of reviews, I felt it was important for me to "weigh in" here. First, it seemed like the negative reviews had nothing to do with results. I used Dr. Mikhail for the Orbera procedure and lost about 40 pounds without surgery. The staff, nutritionists, physical therapy consultant, and Dr. Mikhail were all great. And while my experience with Dr. Rosen was limited (he was not my primary physician in the group), in the limited interaction I had with him, he was genuinely concerned with my progress and was never anything less than professional. After my procedure, Dr. Mikhail shared his cell phone with me and encouraged me to reach out with questions or concerns. And when I did, he was always quick to answer. How many times has anyone had a Doctor do that for you? Bottom line, great folks who generate great results. If they were not or they did not, I would not be referring my brother to them. Lifeweigh Bariatrics changed my entire life 4 years ago after having the gastric sleeve procedure thanks to the one and only Dr.Mikhail for being such an amazing doctor and a great support. Dr. Mikhail is not only an amazing Doctor but also a great person with a great sens of humor. I have been going to him for over 4 years and when I do go in I never feel like I am walking into a Dr's office I feel like I am visiting family and friends that's how comfortable I am with the whole staff. LifeWeigh Bariatrics saved my life. I had a lap-band put in place by another company which caused my esophagus to almost double and the acid reflux was eating away and causing ulcers in my throat as well. Doctors Mikhail and Rosen were by and on my side from the initial visit, through the healing and eventual removal of an inferior product from another company then finally to a successful gastric bypass surgery. The support staff at Lifeweigh is top notch along with the wonderful ladies behind the front desk who make you feel like you are part of their family there. I cannot say enough of the personal treatment given by Dr Mikhail and Dr. Rosen. Each one has a different approach, yet will treat you as if you were a family member. There is no miracle cure for obesity. It is a life long plan and with LifeWeigh in your corner and a positive attitude, you will be successful. It is here that you will learn to eat to live and not live to eat. In order to have success, one must follow the directions and put in their "work" to succeed. And by work I mean eating the right amount of the correct foods along with a moderate physical exercise plan. Accountability is on the patient.
