They ghosted us after they were paid. Our panels worked for one year, does anyone have their contact?

Pushy sales, no follow through, lied about several issues, would love to get rid of my panels.

This review is for Lift Energy but it appears they also go by the business name Lift Energy Solar, Lift Energy Construction, Inc. and Solar by Lift Energy. They are headquartered in Lehi, Utah. Unfortunately, our family has had negative interactions with a representative named Cam (on more than one occasion). Sustainable energy is always good. It's the progress that we need. As America senses the need for a change more companies are developed creating a way for solar energy to be marketed nationwide. One such company has been lacking professionalism in business and I do not endorse nor support them. In Southern California, these employees have been soliciting business by going door to door at homes. They don't have proper uniforms or physical business cards. They only have digital business cards. It's highly improbable for me to do business with an unsolicited company that approaches my home and with an employee who isn't very professional. It's great if the employee believes in what he is selling but without people skills and respect when approaching someone's home, you won't gain my business. While their business model might be successful or look good on paper the interactions that I've had with their employees has led me to dislike this company. read more

If I could give them no stars, that's what I would do. They lied to me twice: first lie is that if the roof is bad where the panels go, they will replace it for price. Second lie is that I was getting a bigger MPU. They increased the price in my face and confirmed it twice. After reviewing the plans and asking electrical friends I found that no MPU was in my plans. Poor response time and communication from Sales and Acct Managers. Unless you like abuse and are willing to put up with lies for 25 years save yourself the headache and pay more or go elsewhere. read more

Let me tell you, I had them install solar on my casa and it was hands down da worst experience in my hole lifee. This company promised me a certain product and cancellation procedure and failed on both regards. They are now forcing us to pay them for "services rendered", when a representative from their company promised me I could cancel without being fined or paying. I guess they are hard pressed for income so much that they are pursuing funds they previously promised I wouldn't be responsible for. Be aware. Find another company with integrity. Some hipstery kid knocks on my door. While scrolling through his TikTok feed on his phone, he starts talking about my electricity bill. I ask him if he wants to sell me solar. He says no. He acts like he's just being courteous and letting me know that I might see their trucks on my street. He goes into some strange ramble about charges I will see on my electricity bill. He comes off as if he represents something involved with my electricity bill. I got tired of hoping he would either cut to the chase or just shut up. I interrupt him to ask him if he has anything to do with my electricity bill. He finally says no. He represents a company that sells solar power systems, and he wants to know if I want to save money on my electricity bill. He's here to sell me solar. read more

I've had my solar for a year and a half now. It's been hot so I have been running my air constantly! So I've been waiting on my solar bill all month.. I work from my house, boys are home, TV's on games on lights and AC is on all day.. No joke I haven't turned my air off in a month except for a few mornings where is was kinda cool out.. And my bill was only $163! And this is a high bill for me. I never wanted solar cause of situations that I heard about people being screwed over but thank the Lord for Larry Stacy ! They do not care about you after they install the panels. As long as they got you to sign an agreement, nothing else is their problem.! They can't even come out and clean your panels because it's not "on them". They recommended me to buy products from Amazon and do it myself. read more

Ive been with this company for 8 months. I wish i could give negative stars! This company has been a huge regret and wish i never had them on my roof! 1. The contractors they hired were the laziest and disrespectful crew ive ever had to deal with. They left trash, cigarette butts, solar hardware pieces all over my property!. 2. One of there contractors shit his pants and left hes shitted pants in my trash can! 3. The sub panel was hacked up, i had to argue with lift that their guy messed it up. They sent another contractor and he couldn't believe the way it was hacked up. 4. The contractors who installed the panels, installed them crooked. 5. They didnt even clean off the panels after the install, i had to again, call and fight them to fix this as well. They sent one company to clean and they showed up and left. Didnt touch the panels. The 2nd company came, they were down cleaning 39 panels in 25mins?? 6. Water leaking from install in my attic. Had to fight again for them to fix that, i even had a video! 7. Another roof leak, this time is ruined our custom oak ceiling and Lift has done nothing for compensation. Sent them a video as well and had to fight them to fix that as well. Now my Ceiling looks horrible with stained water marks!!!!!!!!!!! 8. Another leak, no response, no care, endless promises that manager is supposed to call. 9. Talked to customer service 4xs now and again, being told they are tagging all the managers and they will follow up! ALL LIES!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR SOLAR. Would never do business with this company. They are dishonest and lack integrity. I told the salesman my concerns about my roof and the age of it. He (John) assured me they would inspect my roof to ensure it is in good condition. Well not even a year later I had issues with my roof that were barely discovered. These issues should have been caught during the inspection. Had I known these issues existed I wouldn't have installed solar panels. Now I'm locked into a contract for over 20 years. Lift now wants to charge me to remove my panels if I go with someone else to fix my roof. Or they can fix it and charge me. Either way they are double dipping. read more

I visited 2 more and one was a stucco business who moved into the building 2 months ago and the other is an empty building no furniture and weeds growing in the parking lot. Dust 1/2 thick on the front door. Interesting I found out they scammed California State Licensing Board too. The address they gave on their license is a virtual office in a mini mall. Even though their virtual address is in this huge impressive building. Check it out. Everyone in Kern county really need to call their politicians and cal state consumer office and file a complaint. They made over a billion screwing California residents. They are mainly a financial company. Most of the good reviews made on this company are paid to do so. This company and its workers are very laid back. That's not always a bad thing, but it is when you take it to far. Spencer came to my door and was a good salesman. We were thinking about getting some additional panels and my parents were wanting the whole setup. I talked to him about it and explained that we just wanted to get the numbers, and will talk it over. I was clear and I told him I appreciate the sales process, but we won't sign anything today. I just wanted to set expectations. He ended up getting us the numbers and then basically tried to get us to sign the loan that day. We thanked him for his time, and I explained I wanted to shop around. His was the first bid, so I wanted to get 2 more from local companies. He was pretty nice about it and asked if we can set a time with my parents to go over their house. Admittedly, we had to change that date twice because we had a death in the family and other things happened. He still wanted to come, so I asked if I could get my parents quote before he showed up, because he said he already ran the numbers, but he refused to send me anything. I then told him that I got 2 other quotes, and I sent them to him. He responded and said "Thank You these are great, I will be able to make your parents happy". He then confirmed that he would be at my parents house at 10am the next day. He knew that I was going to be there, and I also invited my in-laws and neighbor next door to my parents to get them all to sign up. I texted Spencer and told him that, and also told him that price was important, so he would need to be better priced or at least comparable. I didn't want to set his expectations to high. I like to set reasonable expectations so meetings go smoother. Spencer responded at 9:15am and said that he was excited to meet everyone and he would see me soon. 10 o'clock came, and then it went. 10:15 came around and still no Spencer. I gave him until 10;30 and then I texted him making sure that he was ok. No response, I called him at 10:45 and by now everyone was growing restless, and no answer. I took off work to meet with everyone, and so did my father in law. So we gave him until 11, because this guy just confirmed with me that day, and he was really pressuring me for an appointment. Like I mentioned earlier I had to postpone 2 appointments (both were given at least 24 hours in advance) and he kept pushing for a meeting. So I honestly thought he was laying in a ditch somewhere to just not answer my phone call or anything. I tried multiple times through out the day, and no answer. Then We see him driving around with what looks like a trainee in the car with him. I call him again, he looks at the phone, and laughs while showing the person next to him the phone. What I figured out what happened is that. He couldn't beat the quotes of the local guys and he planned to stand me up, because I cancelled two meetings on him. I spoke with a guy named Ridge Payne who was the VP of Sales. He called me after I sent the company an email about my experience. He basically just made it seem like "yeah, Spencer is one of our top Guys, but he can be a jerk sometimes. For the sake of full disclosure. Ridge Payne did try and make it right. He apologized and said that he would like to personally do a FaceTime with my family and give us a quote. We set the time for the next day I think. My wife, my parents, and I laws did not want to take the meeting. They were upset with how we were treated and didn't want to give the company -or Spencer his referral money. Had sales reps from this company stop by and became aggressive when I directed them to the no soliciting sign. I had asked them to leave and they refused, and instead argued with me. They then were demanding to talk to the home owner (hi, you're talking to them) and telling me I was mistaken and I should have been expecting them. Just a bunch of liars. I had to threaten to call the police before they would vacate my property. They were busy lecturing me on my choice of language instead of leaving. I just make up that its working great and if they, could they stop calling, they say they just want to make sure everything is okay, and quickly hang up, strangly they wont stop calling. Would leave no stars but it won't let me...The con artist that signed me up made a bunch of false promise that I didn't find out till after I had them installed and got a $1300 true up bill because I was under powered on solar. 6 months after install my system is still not on. I've called half a dozen times over 2 months and just get the run around. I wish I could just have the panels remove. making payments on panels that aren't even working. They blame the 3rd party company they had install my panels. My advice go with another company. This is a scam. My mother signed a contract in December 2021. She gave them routing numbers to her bank. It is now April 2022. They have done nothing. We tried calling and they asked for a call back number so they could have someone call us back. No one called back. We have tried contacting them by phone multiple times. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. I've been waiting for repairs due to negligence for a month. I was promised to have an inspection weeks ago. When I call for information, the customer service reps are vague. They all say, "I understand your frustration..." but like I last said, actions are louder than words. I've had many appointments where workers don't show, arrive on the wrong day, or come too late to do any work. They have fallen off the roof due to lack of protocol, broken a ton of roofing tiles, and repaired them very sloppily. They were annoyed that I wanted them to remove the splattered cement that was visible from the awning over the garage. The installation does not follow my HOA regulations and I'm waiting for them to remove exposed tracks that are visible from the street. I was approached by Nathan, one of the sales guys. We talked a bit on the porch, I had been thinking about solar for a while and was interested in getting a quote. He was a nice guy that really felt he was offering a quality product, that came across. We set up a follow-up appointment to go over the numbers they crunched and everything looked good to me. The process started in April, I think and was completed in June, they let me know that it would take this long because PG&E really drags their feet on the inspection and approval process. This is indeed what I found. The solar team was only here from 8am to about 2pm in the afternoon and installed 27 panels! That was impressive. Overall the installation looked solid, however, I did see a few mounting bolts that missed the 2 by 4's. I could see this in a couple places. I think taking a little extra time and pre-drilling pilot holes that are square to the 2x4 would help make sure they go in straight. Apart from that everything went well. They put in a new breaker box and the guy that came out to do that matched the paint so well, you can't tell any work had been done on it. Very please with that, as that is viewable from the street. All appointments (which were quite a few) were kept and communication was not a problem. I just checked my current month's bill is $9.95 on PG&E's site. Last year it was about $500. (envision the Leonardo Dicaprio smug meme). Thanks to Danny, the manager that always took time to pick up the phone and address any issues that came up. Word of caution, most of the reviews on here are not from Bakersfield, so check the city of the person that posted. Also, as of 8/26/21 out of the Bakersfield reviews that ACTUALLY had solar installed by Bakersfield LIFT Energy, there are 4 and they are all 5 star reviews. Update from earlier post... Ok, another technician came out this morning as scheduled to "Replace " the one bad panel...as it was told to us last week. But remember, they first thought it was a bad "Converter" or something. So, today the technician said last week's technician was wrong. Now he says it is not a bad panel and they have to come back to check all the panels again!!!! WOW...,,??!!! So now reschedule to do panel work on Friday and Inspection on Monday! Today a salesperson came to my door. It is over 100 degrees outside, I am babysitting my two small grandchildren, and he proceeded to throw neighbor names at me, like that would force me to buy solar from him. Unfortunately, I explained that I was very busy, but NOOOOOO, he didn't take that hint. Continuing with his agenda began talking to me about running comps on my energy bill to see what I would save... Once again, I explained firmly but kindly that I was very busy, and I would appreciate a card, so if my hubby and I were interested, I would get back with them. He continued with his energy crunch statistics. Then I started getting mad. I told him my hubby had had surgery and was in the other room, and I was babysitting my grandkids. My exact words were, " Please just give me your card, I will contact your company if we are interested. " THEN he asked for my phone number. I told the young man, " I am not giving you my phone number and getting harassed by salespeople, and as we speak, I am letting out the cold air out of my house." He said, "Well, if you had solar, it would remedy you ever worrying about leaving your door open." Nice try Bucko.... Finally, I exclaimed. " I am shutting my door, and I won't ever have to worry about solar again either." He had his opportunity to do this the correct way, and give me a card, so we could make the choice... SORRY LIFT.. OK ITS OFFICIAL, This company is a complete SCAM. We never ever wanted to LEASE our Solar and the man and his Companion a Female Promised us we Qualified for FINANCING the solar or we would have NEVER agreed with the deal. Unfortunately my husband didn't read the fine print and sighed the paperwork believing what the salesperson promised us. A couple months later my husband calls to ask why our bill is so low and the operator said because we aren't Financing the Solar? We were in Shock and Pissed. We never received paperwork or anything about what we signed up for. We were supposed to get a call back from the CROOKED salesperson but got a call from another person saying the guy DOESN'T WORK FOR THE COMPANY ANYMORE??? FRIGGIN LIARS AND A SOLAR SCAM. I was working around the house one afternoon and a rep came by and asked if I was interested in getting solar power. I told him that no, I had zero interest in getting solar power. He asked why, and I told him I didn't want anything to do with those ugly panels, and all the chemicals involved in making them. He started to argue with me, and wouldn't take no for an answer. These guys are the worst! A salesperson (not wearing a mask, not social distancing) shows up at my house at least once a month to try to sell me solar. They never will tell me who they are or what company they represent then argue with me when I tell them no. One guy even said to me "well don't worry, I'll be back". What a jerk! Well they must have hooked my neighbor because they rolled up at 7 a.m. today yelling at each other so loud I can hear them in my back upstairs bedroom. One truck had music on so loud I could hear that too! I looked out the window and they have 2 trucks parked in our shared driveway. I can't get out if there was an emergency . . . Two guys showed up at my house, parked their custom painted Tesla on my grass and waited for me to come home. I walked to them and their first question to me was did you just buy this house? No uniform, card, company branded anything. I had to ask them three times who they were and finally got a first name. They'll all they said was we do solar. Had to ask again twice, solar for who and finally got a business name. They then kept asking if they could get my usage information. Who runs a company like this? Just a terrible first impression and if this company puts these guys out front how good could they really be? read more

The process of these solar panels has taken over a month. On the very first day they were 2 hours late. They left wire caps on my lawn which is a hazard for my pets. About 1-2 of the men out of at least 10 that came to my house wore masks. I get that they're working outside, but they can at least put a mask on while talking to us, we're literally in the middle of a PANDEMIC. They drilled a hole into our patio that we didn't know about until a small leak occurred, and their electrical work wasn't approved by pg&e which lead to them having to come out and fix their mistakes for over a month. This company does the job right! They will go above & beyond to get the job done right. I had a problem with my HOA wanting the converter box in the garage instead of on the outside. My HOA is very picky & hard yo please. David & Jacob & their employees put the converter box in my garage, patched up the stucco & everything is good. They run the wires through the attic & not on your roof, which is important. A lot of companies don't do that & won't tell you either. Everything was good at first. My sales representatives were Bridgeham and Dustin(who is district manager I believe). Bridgeham has been as helpful as he can be which I appreciate but Dustin is a no show. He tried to persuade me with incentives and I said fine. Everything was fine until I asked for the incentive check that he said he would give me. I tried talking to him but no response. Live up to your word! read more
