I called around and found CrossFit SISU in Plymouth. It wasn't the closest CrossFit gym to me, but it had great reviews and the schedules they offered seemed to fit with my day. They put me on a one week trial. I was in constant contact with Christina. She answered my questions throughout the trial process. After the first few days, I fell in love with CrossFit and SISU. The workouts are amazing and highly motivating. There are no dull days. The coaches are super friendly and help me work around my injuries by tailoring the workouts to my needs. A bunch of us decided to take a lower body class so I was preparing to just do a bunch of lunges and hurting... lol The class started and the music began. The instructor took us through a warm up routine and then began to explain all the stations. There were 5-6 stations and we were to rotate between them. Yes, lounges were on the menu! Man, I was getting my butt kicked! each station had certain movements that focused on a certain body part and yes, I was sweating and crying lol. This lasted for about 45 minutes, once we were done with the stations twice, we rolled into a cool down period and eventually the class ended. What I liked about the class is that there was constant movement and you didn't get board with the movement. If I kept going to this class I know I would be in waaay better shape than I am but unfortunately, I don't live in town. I would try it out if you are visiting of living there. Its not too huge and intimate enough that you aren't lost in the crowd.

Distance running, spin classes (I even taught them), boot camp classes, pretending I knew what I was doing with weights at a big gym... I contacted Tim (the owener and trainer) several weeks before and he could not have been nicer. Since I was not familiar with the area he was kind of enough to give me directions to the box. At that time I had been going to Crossfit for several months near my home and was looking forward to going to another one, especially out of state to see how things work. The one day I came in, I worked out with another young lady. Unfortunately, I re-aggravated a back injury so I had to cut back my work out. Tim properly showed me how to do everything and continually pushed us during the WOD even though I was in pain. While the box is small, they have all the necessary equipment to run a great Crossfit.
