My wife and I just bought a house in Pinellas County, near our daughter's family, but we are still…read moreliving on the East coast of Florida. We came in to coordinate projects related to plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I had three companies/contractors for each category scheduled to come in and review the projects and give me quotes. Trying to schedule 9 contractors is like trying to herd cats, but it got done, and even though there were some time variations on when they came out that day, all but a few showed up. I always like to meet and get multiple bids on any projects I have for my home. The carpentry task was to enlarge the space for a new larger refrigerator. It was done by cutting away an attached cabinet above and putting in a thinner dry wall next to the refrigerator. Of the three carpenters that came out, one didn't give me a bid and said it couldn't be done because of the type of cabinet I had. Two gave quotes and both I thought were friendly and nice. However, the two quotes I got were wide apart and I prefer 3 quotes. So, the electrician I like and accepted his quote (look for another review), gave me the name and brochure of the Pinellas Executive Association which seemed like a good organization of professionals. This is where I found Danish Master Carpentry, Martin Luthje, 23 Booth Blvd, Safety Harbor, Fl 34695 (347) 784-5384. He was very pleasant to talk with on the phone. Even though I was back on the East coast, I scheduled him to come out and look at the project. We did all our communication with voice and text over the phone. His bid wasn't the lowest, but I liked what he said and his professionalism over the phone. He not only delivered what he promised and sent me pictures along the way, you can't even tell that the space wasn't like that to begin with. He took on some other projects I threw at him and did an excellent job, and most importantly, they were done to perfection, and he always showed up on time. There are many other projects I have in mind, and I will always use Martin for any carpenter work for my new home. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I have been living with the door problem for more than 10 years. Justin and Chris solved the issue. They also modified a door lock that had been giving me fits for years. Douglas Manufacturing is also replacing several window screens for me as well. Their prices are very reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend Douglas Manufacturing for your sliding door (and window) service as well as window screen replacement/repairs.

Douglas Mfg. put my doors in about 5 years ago and did a remarkable job. I called them to remove my doors and subsequently re-install them. The price was more than fair. The work was none quickley and efficiently and the workers were very neat and tidy. They were friendly and went above and beyond to respect me and my home. My cooling bill came down about $40/month after installation and the outside noise is greatly diminished. I highly recommend Douglas Mfg for doors and windows. Ann B
