I can be a tough customer. My BS detector is very, very sensitive and if I sense any type of generic, phoning-it-in style of therapy, I have a hard time giving the whole session a chance. I can also be skeptical of techniques I've never tried before, like EFT. Dena has blown me away the two times I have seen her. Both times, I called her on short notice and she made time for me right away, on a Sunday morning. The first time was shortly after I moved to Denver, and I was grappling with deep feelings of abandonment with a family member. Incredibly, after a session with Dena involving tapping and other clearing, the issue resolved almost completely and has not been nearly as problematic ever since. I have just returned from my second session with Dena, as I am set to move away from Denver. I know now that that first session was no fluke: this is a masterful, gifted healer that I feel tremendous gratitude towards for having worked with. I feel so much lighter and more hopeful after our session. Dena's talent is unmistakable. With chronic depression carrying through all of my adult life, I've tried traditional psychotherapy, self-help books, binge-watching of New Age YouTube videos and TED Talks, meditation, Buddhist retreats, yoga, and antidepressants. All of these have been helpful, but, at least for me, one session with Dena is about as powerful as years and years of these other tools. Dena is awesome ! The minute I walked in, I loved her energy, her personality, even the space she works in.I booked a session with her solely based on her amazing reviews on yelp and was not disappointed. I was looking for a more conventional coach or therapist although I was not a stranger to the world of psychics. But her reviews were so out of this world that I had to try. She is very down-to-earth and grounded. And she will meet you where you're at. She is incredibly intuitive and receptive. She never tried to force me in anything. She just made suggestions and made sure I was always comfortable in the process. She was always reassuring. The session I had with her this summer was unlike anything I've experienced. A lot more intense than expected. It turned into some kind of exorcism, as strange as it is to write that. And it is not what I had in mind. Not even for a second. I came to her to work on emotional release. It's how we begun and it lead to a more spiritual release. I had glimpses of past lives and felt spirits litterally come out of me. Like a major spiritual cleanse. At that moment, it all made sense to me.I know this sounds strange. All I can say is that I didn't plan any of it, and was more of an observer of the process than in control. I think she was also surprised we went that far together. I didn't hold anything back and trusted her completely, I think that's why we went so deep. It lasted for 2 hours when I had planned on an hour long session. And oddly enough I could have stayed there for an extra 2 hours. Although some of my experience was scary, I felt completely protected by her presence. An interesting combination of feelings to say the least. I felt completely supported in the best possible way while going through something I had only heard about and didn't even know could be real. I still don't know what to do with this experience. I just loved the fact that I couldn't deny any of it and it made me more humble. I felt relieved afterwards and more aware of the dimensions within me. I did touch some deep core believes that I didn't know I had, understood where they came from and transformed them. Which is a healing in itself. I also let go of a lot of doubts and anger I (still) had regarding old personal issues. That was during the emotional release part. I can see much clearer now. I'm very grateful for that. Again, given how unique my experience was, I want to make clear that Dena never tried to make me go in one direction or another. She was honest in what she felt. And very respectful and cautious. At times I could honestly say , "no that doesn't resonate with me" or "yes this makes sense " . And we would go from there, depending on my feedback. She never tried to induce any type of esoteric experience. It just happened to be what I needed that day as incredibly special and new as it was ! She called me the next day to check on me. I first heard of Dena and her ability to help others through my sister and thought that I would reach out to her to see if she would be able to help me. I was amazed at the instant connection and sense of peace and understanding I felt when I first met Dena. She instantly put me at ease. I went to Dena after a pretty terrible breakup. I was expecting her to be sensitive to the situation; I was in a lot of pain, but she seemed very cold. She initially stated that her psychic skills weren't always on point nowadays but then went on to say things about my ex that seemed so matter-of-fact. She actually said, "Oh, he's not thinking about you; he's moved on. He's definitely much happier now. I also see that there's a 3rd party." To go from saying that her psychic skills weren't 100% to making bold statements about my situation made no sense. My ex was actually in jail for political activism at the time, not happy, and not dating anyone else. In fact, he said that he was feeling suicidal at the time. I really don't trust that all of these reviews are real, but if they are, I was definitely not one of Dena's lucky clients. What she said to me caused me severe depression for about a month when I was going 'no contact' with my ex. For that whole month, I had to imagine that he was out having fun with another girl and 'much happier' smh. I honestly can't believe anyone who is intuitive and empathic would say things like that to someone in my state. When I went to her, I was at my worst. I was down to about 95 pounds; the last thing I needed was more stress. Not only would I not go back to her, I wish I had never wasted my time and money on this bs appointment. If she helped you, more power to you, but what she said to me caused me severe panic attacks and depression. I basically payed money to someone to put me in a worse state than I had initially been in. I'd suggest going elsewhere. read more
