My wife and I decided a few years ago that we needed to get back to church. she started her search…read morewith Beechwood reformed church here in our town. We thought that we would try a few different churches, but we liked the "Bridge" service at Beechwood so much that we never went to any other locations. There are three services each Sunday, a formal service followed by the Bridge service which has a great band and a lighter feel and open atmosphere. They have also started an early service at 9am called Upper Room" because it is done in a loft area. This is a good sized church with 500+ members. There are activities and groups of all sorts that you can get involved in. Child day care during service so that you can enjoy without distractions. The staff is the best, led by Pastor Jim Lankheet. He has a way to bring the message to me every week. Sometimes I wish he wasn't talking to me or at least if feels that way! I also think that getting GOD back into my life was good for me, my marriage and my boys.

My parents,took our Family to CWC,Quite regularly.all 8 of of their children.I participated in the LIVING END CHOIR.We moved to California for the Summer,then my Father decided to move back.I don't remember the name of the Church out there.That my Father started taking us to.Then years later we moved to Jacksonville,FL.Then after 3 Years we moved back to Holland,MI.We went to Murray Hill United Methodist Church.I was in the youth Choir there also.Both of my Parents were always in the Adult Choir.All through the Years. Don't. DOWN play CWC,it's a great church to bring your children up in.And to make,new friends & bump into Older friends. So,don't be prejudiced against them. I,Remember Old Pastor Bailey.From years ago,since passed away.Then,to meet & Listen to Pastor Paul HONTZ Sermons.I was shocked.To here,that he had left.I met,the new Pastor Craig,today.Things started getting rather Emotional,I've been dealing with.The wrongful arrest & Wrongful Conviction of my Younger brother Ryan M Wyngarden. There's more,to the story.Than people.Evenko realise.There,were an awful lot of Lies,told in court.But,I've always believed in Jesus Christ.That,someday,justice.Will,be served to the People involved.In the Murder of my Younger Sister Gail & her 1 year Husband.Prayfully,people.Will,start asking the older family members questions.About what Truthfully happened.And what was hidden in court

I decided to check this church out since I used to attend a Free Methodist Church many years ago…read more The name of this church has recently changed and it is no longer the Zeeland Free Methodist Church. It's new name is the Waypoint Community Church. I asked the pastor after the service if it is still a Free Methodist Church or if it was a non-denominational church since to me the new name sounded like a non-denominational church name. He assured me that it is still a Free Methodist church which for me is a good answer. . The pastor's sermon here today was Biblically sound and I am looking forward to checking a couple of facts that he stated. Realistically I have faith that he was telling the truth about some Bible passages and their meanings, but I try to not take anybody's word as the gospel truth and to double check what a preacher says in his sermon. In the past I've been surprised by how often some pastors (I am NOT say this churches pastor) take scriptures out of context to force them to support the topic of their sermon. The pastor here seems to be a good speaker and certainly came across as a very well educated man and brought up some thought provoking and a couple times funny points. I can't say if I will make this my new church home since I've only visited once and it will take several more visits to get a real feel for the church and the pastor. If I forgot to mention it I was greeted by a large number of people who recognized that I was a visitor so they certainly pass on being willing to make a newcomer feel welcome. Overall, a real pleasant experience and most importantly good solid preaching that taught me several new things to research and make me a little better informed. I'm looking forward to visiting this church some more in the coming weeks.
