I wanted to share my experience with The Buddy Center in hopes that it saves another family some…read morefrustration. After months of waiting for the clinic to open , I finally requested that my daughter be discharged from services. We were originally promised a start date of April 1st. That date was pushed to the end of April, then the beginning of May, then May 15th, then the end of May, then June 1st, then June 8th, and now we're being told they don't even have their final inspection until June 10th. Throughout this entire process, communication has been extremely poor, and we were often left chasing updates ourselves. Our experience with therapy was equally disappointing. Our therapist rarely engaged with my daughter, and I constantly had to ask for interaction and participation. She sat on her phone 99% of the time Even after concerns were brought to the attention of leadership, little changed. At one point, I was told that sometimes they don't hire the best people. There were also incidents that raised serious concerns about supervision and professionalism. My child has occasional aggression, and a therapist physically pushed her back during an interaction. Another time, while under supervision for all of 5 minutes, my daughter was allowed to color all over walls with a Sharpie. On top of this, there was incidents of elopement at her after school center where they just watched it happen. The therapist was not approaching or engaging or trying to correct dangerous behavior. She was calling her manager and messaging with her on teams and playing on her phone instead of saving my child from a dangerous main road. I called the afterschool center and asked them to please step in and guide my child to safety. My child was actually discharged from the afterschool center because they said they want nothing to do with the how the therapy center handled that day. I understand that staffing shortages and growing pains happen, but families seeking ABA services deserve consistency, communication, and qualified staff. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. If you're looking for meaningful therapy and progress for your child, I would strongly encourage you to thoroughly research all of your options before choosing The Buddy Center. This was our personal experience, and others may have had different ones, but I felt it was important to share.

The door was locked, because they were on their lunch break. Why would you schedule a 1PM appt and tell a patient to arrive early when the door is locked? I vocalized this to the woman at the front desk. She cut me off mid-sentence. I don't think she was trying to be rude, but at this point I'm frustrated. Once inside, I asked why I needed to provide my DL number AGAIN, and eventually did. My DL and insurance cards were sitting on the front desk for 10 minutes and they never scanned them... I was then approached by THREE employees about why I need to provide a DL number - like what, was I flagged as a problem to the staff at this point? The woman at the front desk then told me that the counselor would come get me and I could finish the paperwork with him. 25 minutes later in the waiting room, and I am still not in the appointment yet. Its only a 1 hr session! While I'm in the lobby expressing my frustration about the locked door and how we are now 25 minutes past the start time, the counselor (Gregory H. Ramsey) tells me "I don't like your attitude. Your not a good fit for us." I'm not a good fit for you? Is that how you evaluate your client relationships? How good of a fit THEY are for YOU? I'm still sitting here shocked at how this turned out - I've never experienced anything like this before...

I'm writing this review out of genuine concern, not anger…read more I recently tried to help my grandmother access psychiatric care through iTrust Wellness. She is an older adult currently dealing with serious mental health challenges, including paranoia about her personal information being accessed online. She is also not tech-savvy and is in no condition to navigate online forms or self-referral systems on her own. I called simply to schedule an appointment for her. I was not asking for medical information, diagnoses, or records. I was told--repeatedly--that due to HIPAA, I could not schedule the appointment and that everything had to be done online through a self-referral form. This was extremely distressing, given her condition. What was most concerning is that even after her primary care physician's office called directly, the response was the same: go online, fill out the form. There was no attempt to problem-solve, offer accommodations, or meet her where she is. This left me wondering: how many elderly or vulnerable patients are unable to get care simply because they can't use the internet or are afraid to? Mental health care should be accessible, especially for seniors. Compassion and flexibility matter just as much as policies. Unfortunately, this experience felt rigid and impersonal at a time when care and understanding were desperately needed. I truly hope iTrust Wellness reconsiders how it supports older adults and families trying to help them.
