I am spoiled with our outlets in Livermore, CA. They are still the best! No one else can compare. Quality/Quantity - Not sure why we travel across the country to go outlet shopping, but then again, I have limited to no power. Well, I did end up buying another shirt, LOL. Medium size outdoor outlet mall. The Pepperidge Farm store was an additional treat. Selling cookies past their "sell by" date for ridiculously low prices. We bought a few to try and it tasted fine. Limited food and drink options, see pictures. I think they had 6 total. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm or 8pm, see picture or Yelp. Current event = Paranormal Cirque, see pictures. 100+ stores, decent brand names. Service - Okay. Price - Depends what you buy. I love going to Lighthouse Outlets every time I'm visiting NW Indiana. The high end shoppes are gone, but you find great deals here always. It's even better when visiting in winter. Love Michigan City also. Great shoppes and downtown now with good restaurants. read more

I have not been in this outlet for maybe 20 years and used to be a staple. But then Aurora prime outlet came out and that's what I started going for outlet prices. On this day. I was actually hanging out and having a sister day. My sister is actually there to shop at the coach outlet when she scored a $500 purse from only $200. I scored some great outfits as well and one of the outlet stores way more money that I wanted to spend, but I was very happy with my purchases. They definitely need to add on. I don't know how many stores are there, but you're able to drive around it and measure them too so they definitely need to add more. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid and there's a little bit of something for everyone. While the actual "outlet" portion of the Outlet Mall is questionable, you will find a wide range of brands available with discounted price tags and specials like buy one get one. With everything from Vera Bradley, to Yankee Candle to Eddie Bauer, even Pepperidge Farm - you are sure to pick up a few things. Personally, I love that it is an outdoor mall to me it adds so much more character (especially Christmas shopping in the winter). The downside is the lack of dining options for those making a true day of it. There's a hot dog cart, a Subway and a small cafe. I would love to see one or two actual restaurants join the space. Overall, a nice way to spend a day and find some deals. Be sure to sign up on the website to access additional coupons for participating stores. read more

This place is huge. When it comes to outlet malls this is the place you want to drive to. It's blocks long and has every store possible. We drove 2 hours for school clothes Shopping and it was a one stop got all! It was also well worth it. The mall is clean and has plenty of options to sit down and rest it also has eatery options and places to grab a beverage. There are little kid rides to keep them occupied and an indoor area to cool off in. We went on a weekend and it was very busy. But all the places we went into the staff was always friendly and willing to help us. We actually did so much shopping we had to make a trip to the car to put some bags in. Speaking of heading to the parking lot, parking is a bit hairy. I think they need more parking to accommodate all the visitors. We drove around for 6 min trying to find a spot. On that note also there are several blocks that you will have to park at or else walk a long ways. Different shops on separate blocks. After shopping there are tons of local places to eat cause you'll need it after all the walking you did! We had a great time and would def go again and I highly recommend going. read more

The good: my teenager was thrilled with Aeropostale and her back to school finds. The "meh": it needs an update. Zero landscaping and drab appearance. This is my first visit of 2018 to the Lighthouse outlet mall. I've been coming here at least once a year since I was a kid. They keep the sidewalks nice and they have a large selection of stores. Unlike the other malls I go to, this one doesn't seem to have business going away, which is nice. I do think they could use some new stores, however. Seeing a BoxLunch store here would be nice. My favorite places to go here are Old Navy, Oshkosh B'gosh, Hot Topic, and The Kitchen Collection. Whether I come with my parents, my in-laws, my best friend & her son or my husband, I always enjoy the time I spend here. Make sure to check the weather before coming since it's an outside mall. We occasionally shopped here during trips to/from home in Kalamazoo, from which we moved 32 years ago. Back then, the shopping "campus" was relatively new, and seemed one of our best opportunities for discounted clothing. Today it's still a fun stop for a break from highway traveling. Not much appears sparkling new, but there are plenty of deals, my favorites being the Columbia and Jockey stores. read more

I want to give 0 stars. The only deals I found was at one store and at that I could have had that discount online or at our local mall. The upkeep of this area , the ground and buildings was looking pretty crappy. I guess if you like weeds and no flowers in your flower beds it might be okay. For an outlet mall I exspect it to look beautiful not in despair. The windows on all the store fronts needed wash and from what I seen no pride in their ownership. I've been coming here for over 15 years, whenever we are in Michigan City at the nearby Beachwalk beach vacation house community, which is like 2 miles up the road. I prefer to shop local in my own little village and tend to avoid the big chain stores. But there are a few shops at the Lighthouse mall that offer unique brands that I can't get at home. My kids are older now, but I enjoyed shopping at the Hanna Andersson outlet when they were smaller. They did offer some good sales. There are very limited food options here, so don't come hungry. Parking is hit or miss. Sometimes we have to walk pretty far, but if it's rainy or off-season we can usually find a closer spot. read more

I actually drove two hours to get to the Michael Kors store here because of a poor experience I had at another location. The drive was well worth it. Jenn the manager and her staff went out of their way to accommodate me in every way. Not only held the item I was looking for but put together a promotional bundle for me so I actually got even more for my money. If want a real shopping experience the kind that you would expect in a high end store this is place to come to get it. Customer service is amazing at this location. I will be back. read more

The bathrooms here are disgusting. Tried going to the family one as I had a stroller with me and it was dead bolted shut. It's almost impossible to push a stroller into the other bathroom. The changing table was disgusting. Considering a ton of families with babies come here you would think this wouldn't be a problem. I'm also wondering how someone in a wheelchair could even access this bathroom if I couldn't even push a stroller in?! Every time I come here another store is closed up and gone. It's a shame this mall isn't ran better bc it use to be so much fun and nice. Now it's just dirty. read more

Have been here many times over the years. This is a great mall to get good discounts on designer items. There are not a lot of food choices on the grounds but they recently opened a Starbucks. Some stores have good deals and done don't. When it's warm it's very close to the beach or the zoo and this area is very scenic. read more

My review is for the Ralph Lauren store in the Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall. Since the weather was fine, we visited the mall, bought a few things and decided to finish our visit at The Ralph Lauren store. I was never so uncomfortable as I was in this store! While I walked around, I occasionally touched the fabric of the merchandise, but I never picked anything up or disrupt a display. What I did notice immediately, no fewer than two employees pointedly staring at me watching my movements at all times. So many fond memories of coming here over the years. This is such a great place to pass some time, spend some money and walk around. I love the variety of stores and brands avilable, most of which carry items that are still desireable and stylish. One of the only downfalls of the mall is there are not a lot of food options around. There are some cafes and small restaurants across the street, however, it's not as convenient as being inside the mall area. Also, trying to locate a bathroom can take some time. However, if you learn the layout of the land (especially if you frequent this place), finding the bathrooms WILL get easier. We visited early afternoon on a Friday and the place was deserted. Very few shoppers in any of the stores and no one carrying bags of purchases. Are these outlet malls a thing of the past? Basically, the items they sell can be purchased in better qualities and better prices on the internet. Not sure what "outlet" means, but there are certainly few bargains to be had here. Looking at shoes at the Clark outlet we were surprised to look at the soles and find many of them were dirty and worn yet they were still charging full price. Also the place is miserable for people in wheelchairs. The handicapped parking is far away with the regular parking and there are very few ramps. Sometimes you have to walk an entire block before you can get to the next ramp. None of the doors open automatically and you have to open the door block it with your foot and struggle to get the wheelchair through. Amazing that it's 2023 and they still haven't fixed this problem from the 80s. read more

I recently applied and then had an interview with Champion Clothing located in the Lighthouse Premium Outlet. I'm not very pleased that the individual who interviewed me told me all she needed to do was have her store manager give the ok. You don't give information or insinuate that the position is yours and then when they tell you they'll call you on Wednesday it comes and goes, you take the initiative to reach out the next day and told she still hasn't spoken to her manager about hiring me on snd she'd call me by the end of the day THEN doesn't THEN I called today to be met with 'we're going to go ahead with another applicant'. This to me seemed unprofessional and somewhat immature. Not returning a call even just to inform me I didn't get the job also seemed like they hoped I'd forget. Hopefully their staff can learn to better conduct themselves especially in regards to hiring. read more

The layout is a bit strange and widespread. It's not the prettiest outlet mall...it's actually a bit of an eyesore, but there's a good variety of stores and major brands represented. Pretty nice outlet mall in Michigan City, Indiana even though it seems to be showing its age just a bit. For those that zip out of Chicago and the south suburbs for the Indiana and Michigan shore line during the summer months, this mall is perfectly situated to provide shopping. It is also very near the casino that anchors the area out here, so often you can kill two birds with one stop. While the prices at some of the outlet stores seem more like the everyday retail level, there is still a nice assortment of retailers. The mall is roomy and has wide walkways all around, meaning you won't have trouble maneuvering with baby carriages and wheelchairs. The mall is open air though, so inclement weather will cramp your style. All told, this place is worth a visit when you are out this way. read more

I wish they would do something about that mini parking lot in the front and the 2 big yards of nothing but grass. They should like plant a bunch of trees and put a bunch of cute benches. You know make it a real pleasant sitting area not something that looks like an airport airstrip. I like the Lighthouse Place. I am not overwhelmed shopping there. Some outlet malls are crazy big and confusing. Lighthouse Place is outdoors and the layout is not a giant confusing maze designed to trap you for days until your money is all spent and I appreciate that. It is a good stop off point when driving from Chicago to a weekend in Michigan. Stores come and go, but my staples are The Gap, Coach, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren and Yankee Candle. I always seem to find deals at these stores. I just recently found the North Face outlet, and loaded up on $4.97 clearance winter gloves. Not a lot of food options at the mall, aside from the pretzel shop which has very tasty pretzels, but there are many options in Michigan City or nearby New Buffalo. I find the easiest parking near Coach and the Gap, but that is because I'd prefer to be away from the masses and do not mind walking a few extra steps to my destination. read more

As big as it is I've come to realize that I only go to about 3 to 4 stores each time I go. Highlights for me are the following 1. Old Navy-This is always the first place i go. They normally have great deals and super cute clothes! 2. The kitchen store--i don't know why but if I don't go to the kitchen store before I leave its like I've missed out. 3. Columbia--my family thinks I have a problem with buying to many jackets lol and they might be right. I normally go/buy a jacket every time I go here. They are amazing!!! I can't help myself :) There are a couple other stores I go to from time to time but those 3 are my top. I say all this to say that when I shop anywhere else it's normally at H&M or Forever 21. I guess you can say I like to shop at inexpensive places. Lol The outlet does have a lot of name brand store such as coach, Michael Kors, Loft, Banana Republic, Vera Bradley, and so on and so forth. Just on a whim the partner and I decided to just "drive" but I saw signs right away (and mind you I am coming from Chicago), that said Lighthouse Outlets. Oh geez Luizzzzz dare I? Yes, why not,. We decided lets just go, and before you knew it and faster then Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, we ended up there on a Sunday! Considering it was a hot day, I still enjoyed checking out the stores and just liked the fact that it was not even crowded like one would think it would be. It was actually rather scarce and you had room to breathe without being knocked down by a 300 lb warrior. I mean I've gone to outlets (Aurora) and you will get stomped on if you don't keep up the pace. Now one of the things I didn't like about this outlet is that everything was totally outside and you were going to get sun whether you liked it or not. Where as others are shaded in some parts, but I guess its just that hot days kill me and I can't think straight. Their selection of stores was pretty good, but I do think that some of the stores are now antiquated and really no one seems to shop at them, but I guess its an old school thing. What can you do? All in all, if I had more time, I would of stayed longer, but a few hours can get to you in the sun. Meanwhile, did anyone notice the Nuclear Power Plant (insert sarcastic grin)? Oh wow, I never seen one so close. So Springfield, Simpson's? And for clarification, Outlets means it "should" be less expensive, but its not. read more

I remember going to the Lighthouse Outlet mall when it first opened in the late 80's. This place use to be hopping and packed with shoppers. These days it's dated and the crowds aren't what they use to be. We still get back to the outlet mall a couple times a year when we're in the area. They have some good stores like Brooks Brother, Under Armour, Ecco, Ann Taylor, Coach, etc. Fri/Sat they're open 9-9. Sun/Thur 9-6. read more

Place is very run down, it's in a big need of a makeover. It use to be nice at one point. The deals aren't any better then going to your local mall. I guess you might find a good deal here and there but not much of a difference then a typical store. If anything they just try to make it seem like it's a good deal by posting %70 off the entire store but everything so over priced it's still expensive. We been going just for the walk and get out of the suburban/ city life. Half the time we only buy one or two things from one store. Would recommend to go for a walk, not really to shop. Save your money and find better deals else where. read more

I am a fan of an outdoor mall. To me, in general, these types of malls don't feel so crowded and the fresh air helps keep me sane. I've only been here twice, so I'm not real familiar with the layout of the stores. It seems spread out and I have no idea where I am half of the time. There is signage and maps of the stores posted everywhere. Lots of restrooms throughout. Not many, if any, restaurants to eat at or grab a quick snack (except Ben's), as far as I can tell. Lots of parking. It isn't a bunch of high-end designer stores. I enjoy shopping here - and I think you do get some good deals. read more

Stopped by here on a Friday evening on my way up to Michigan because all the bill boards along the way were enticing and we were looking to pick up a Bose dock anyway... The staff, at least at Bose, was super friendly. The Kenneth Cole store was okay (prefer the one at the Aurora Outlet - owned by the same company). Now here's the problem - the bathrooms were filthy dirty!!! Their were sooo many cops around that it unnerved me as to why. The place was too spread out, with no real food options around!! Quite a distance away from I94 - 20 mnts once you get off the highway on a slow road with lots of traffic lights. If I'm going to shop outlet, I prefer a better designed and more basic-facilities equipped mall. read more

Today was my first and last visit to lLighthouse Place premium outlets. As I was entering the Tommy Hilfiger store with two friends, there were three young girls leaving the store with their arms full of stolen merchandise on hangers. The girls didn't even run because they were so loaded down with clothing. They were laughing as they left the store and leisurely walked away. The store employees did NOTHING to stop them. It took one of the employees a couple of minutes after the girls left before going outside to see where the girls had gone. In essence, the Tommy Hilfiger store does not practice any type of store security (after seeing how easily the girls stole the clothing.) I mention this as a warning to anyone who visits this outlet, in particular the Tommy Hilfiger store. Without any type of security in the store, customers are potential victims of crime. I've seen one too many news stories where guns are brought Into a store to do harm. If three young girls can walk out of the store with hundreds of dollars in stolen goods and have no one stop them, what do you think someone more dangerous would be able to do? I will never visit this or any Tommy Hilfiger store ever again, nor will I go to Lighthouse Place. I value my safety too much. read more
