I know nothing about the technological aspects of my computer, but Jack took the time and with patience answered all my questions so I felt I had a better command of the situation at hand. After examining the computer, he called me and explained what the problem was and what would need to be done to rectify things. That's a deal breaker. Otherwise their staff is kind and as helpful as they are able to be, and the store is cute with lots of little stationary, cards, pens, stamps ect... But the bottom line is, Staples charges much less, and their service is better because their staff knows what they are doing. If you can't compete on either price or service, then you don't have a leg to stand on.

I've been to Shoreline PC a few times in the past four years to have laptop issues resolved. I've…read morealways found them to be honest, helpful, and accurate in their pricing estimates. The one time a laptop was damaged beyond its repair value, Shoreline PC simply said it would be better to replace than to pay for the extensive repairs (moral of the story: don't let your dog knock your laptop off the dining room table). Repairs have been done within a matter of days, never taking longer or costing more than I was told. Last time I was in the store to pick up a repaired laptop, one of the staff was helping an older gentleman with a PC. The customer wasn't able to get online at home, and his internet provider insisted the problem was with the PC. Shoreline PC hooked up the guy's PC, connected to the internet, and helped him determine that his PC was fine. Then, the staff advised him he was welcome to stay as long as he needed to check his email, go online, etc. The customer asked how much he owed them for their time, and the technician said, "No charge for this," then advised the man on how to deal with his internet provider, which service he should switch to, etc. Knowledgeable staff, reasonable pricing, great customer service.
