Come to find out is a drop ship. after months of waiting with no updates unless I sent three emails to get a response I emailed the supplier and they told me they discontinued the item. So that tells me that lightningmotorsports wasn't checking up at all. then when I emailed them they cancelled my order right away but now it's been two weeks and I get no response and they haven't refunded my $500+ order. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY/WEBSITE!! I ordered a car part from this website and got an email saying my order was completed. Almost 2 weeks later still no order in the mail. Finally I get an email saying my order was backordered! Two weeks later and they tell me! They don't give out tracking numbers so there was no way I could tell where it was at. I replied to the email in a professional manner saying that I was so disappointed that I waited so long and that no one ever notified me that it was backordered. Now I have to wait triple the time for my order. What upsets me the most is that they didn't even offer their apologies or sympathy and after my long email reply to them, they replied "awesome, we'll get that canceled for you, thanks again!" Im not sure what all the negative reviews are about BUT here is my personal experience. I placed an order with lightning motorsports through their website on Saturday night 11/2/2019 for some arp bolts. I received an invoice with an order number immediately after my purchase, and I received my item Thursday 11/7/2019 of the following week. I called in on Tuesday to confirm they got my order, and the phone rang no more than twice before somone answered. I was greeted by a very friendly voice that informed me that FedEx had just picked up the package and it was on the way. So 5 stars from me, I'd buy again from them any day. read more

Never called to explain that the part I ordered was on backorder. When I found that the part was on backorder I cancelled my order. Has been two months and still no refund. It takes a miracle to actually get ahold of anyone on the phones since they only have one phone line and it is always busy. Just get the run around when I actually get ahold of anyone. I ordered a part online over the weekend (Saturday) and had a couple of questions that needed to be answered over the phone. I called them up on Monday and they were very helpful. Excited about receiving the part, I called them again on Tuesday to see if I could bump up the shipping speed. Again, they were very helpful to let me know it would be arriving on the Thursday of that same week. I checked the tracking number later on that day and saw that it hadn't updated. I didn't want to call again because I didn't want to keep bothering them. Wednesday came around and still no update. Apologetically, I called them again on Wednesday asking about he tracking number and again, they were very helpful with no signs of being annoyed. After a short hold, the gentleman on the phone gave me the tracking number. I'm glad I called on that day, because when I checked the tracking, it was out for delivery (a day before the projected date)! My assumption on the lack of the tracking number is that in the system, it was marked as UPS, but the shipping company used by Edelbrock was different. Therefore, it did not update. Their shipping policy states that they will contact you if an ordered item is back ordered before shipping ordered products. This is not true at least on my order. They failed to answer first email resulting in me having to contact them by phone. They had no idea the product I ordered was back ordered and sent me an email requesting to either settle for another color or wait out the process. A quick email reply on my part requesting a refund for the part ordered has yet to be answered or refunded after 2 weeks. Buyer Beware of this shady business! read more

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with online. I made a puchase on Oct. 6th of this year, which I cancelled shortly after because I determined I ordered the incorrect part. I called the next day to confirm my cancellation, which they did. However, they had already charged my credit card over $500. THey said this would be credited in 3 - 5 business days.... WELL.... After 2 weeks I called and asked where my credit was. I got put on hold for about 20 minutes, and then a guy got back on saying they were confirming that Edelbrock didnt ship the part. I told then I could have told that since the original order was cancelled and I never received anything. Anyway, they said now it would be 3 -5 business days. So here we are a MONTH later... and no credit, and no one answers their phone. I am having to start a claim with my credit card company bc my credit card bill is due. This is such a pain and such an easy fix... but for some reason not important to Lightning Motorports. Avoid them if you can. May other good parts stores online. read more
