La Grove Plaza is much more than a gas station. I had to drive to Prairieville a few days ago for work and as soon as I went to leave I realized two things. The first was that the interstate headed to New Orleans was closed and I would need an alternate route (not relevant to the review). Second was that my fuel light was on. This station was the closest place to my alternate route, so I stopped in. Fueling up was fairly standard. The pump area was clean and receipts were dispensed with zero issues. While pumping I was able to get a view of the entire place. There was a massive oil change station as well as a fancy car wash. I've been to plenty of stations like that so I wasn't that impressed. Once I went inside I realized why this station was impressive. The convenience store is giant. What sets it apart is that it seemed 70% of the interior was dedicated to alcohol sales. I'm not talking MD 20/20 or Colt 45. There was a very large selection of high end wine, liquor and beer. There were even some super premium brands available. Apparently people in prairieville are fans of drinking. In summary, come here to get gas, get your oil changed, get a car wash and buy some single barrel Jack Daniels. read more

Three stars because the car wash is a good deal with free vacuum. Convenience store, however, is far from convenient. I can't quite figure out the logic behind product selection. There's Coke but no Pepsi. Couldn't find a bag of Funyuns and other common things they simply don't carry so I have to drive to the Exxon across the street half the size of this place to find everything I want and need from a convenience store. I get my truck washed there every other week. For the deluxe wash and interior clean it is only 25$. I also get my oil changed there. I have no complaints, and would recommend to anyone who is in a slight hurry, that wants good service. read more

Great store but gas prices are usually jacked up about 15¢ a gallon more than surrounding stores.

Oil Change - go to a real place. Took my car to this location. They did not have the oil filter, had to go across the street to buy it. That should have been a tip off. Returned with the filter and they "installed" it. I should have known it was wrong, the amount of force needed to work on the car seemed excessive, but it happened and I drove off. Got home and noticed a new little fresh little puddle of oil. Took the car back, the mechanics said the leak from the front seal. Drove the car home and got an oil pressure warning. After three more warnings, took the car to the dealership and they said the filter was put in wrong and they replaced the damaged filter. No problems since. Here is where the one star comes in. Took the receipt and dealership paperwork back to La Grove and was told the GM will call me Tuesday when she is back in. Today is Thursday. Went by the place and everyone had shrugs, but no action. GM is "looking into this" and questioned why after 5 weeks I am telling her this. Oil change manager "researching" and will call me back. Am calling my bank and writing this review. Will see which refund happens first. read more

Everyone in the Prairieville area!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE LA GROVE PLAZA CAR WASH at the intersection of Airline and 42. Their car wash damaged our 2012 MDX. The employee that went and retrieved the piece that got ripped off was nice, but the owner couldn't have been any ruder . I told him that we came there often and had even had our inspection sticker renewed a few days earlier. He, without even apologizing, or looking at my vehicle, pointed to a sign which states, that they aren't liable and says to me, "Our lawyers made that sign for us. As it says, Its a risk you take going through the wash. Not my problem. If you don't like it, have your lawyer contact mine, other than that, we're done here." I hope this pompous @$$ of an owner understands that he just lost a customer that washes their car at least two times a month, year round, at $15 dollars a pop, over a $50 piece. read more

Competitive gas prices for the area and plenty of pumps. They offer a plethora of alcoholic beverage selections and prices, basically a mini liquor store. The icee bar has any flavor you could possibly want and has the largest selection around. The restroom has always been stocked and clean. read more

Brought my 2014 Honda Civic there for an inspection sticker and they said we failed inspection because the wiper blades created streaks on the windshield. Refused to let us wipe them clean because they wanted to sell new blades to us. I bought this car in May 2014. There is no way it should fail any inspection. They also gave us a problem over which motor oil we wanted when we brought our other Honda in for an oil change. Do not go there if you don't want to be hassled by "mechanics." read more

TERRIBLE. I got my oil changed there, only for them to leave my old gasket on the filter while also adding a new gasket. They also tightened my gasket waaay too much causing it to break. The first time I drove my car after the oil change, ALL of my oil leaked out. Had to buy the parts myself and have a friend replace it all for me. A bunch of idiots working here. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. They're just lucky I caught it early enough so my engine didn't blow. read more

I was a loyal customer to this company up until now. They changed my oil this weekend and it leaked. I called but they wouldn't offer anything to fix it. I spoke to the owner. He knew nothing about changing oil and basically told me to try somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody cause they can't back up their service. read more
