But policies set by management or corporate at this facility basically guarantee this location is on same trajectory as the Dodo bird. Other than the above, terrible quality for a Life Time facility and significantly worse than any other Life Time in NYC and Westchester area. The bumper plates on the second floor look more or less like a dog chewed on them. If you are here to lift weights, just know that the equipment is worse than LA fitness, NYSC, etc. Again, other Life Times have been renovated 1-2x over the past 3 years, if they aren't brand new. This is literally the only one that is like this. The only renovation they did was to remove a basketball coirt to replace with Pickle ball. The squat racks are literally a danger to use if you squat on the second floor if you hit parallel or lower unless you go to the 3rd floor (which typically has classes running) And now that they replaced one basketball court with Pickleball courts, you basically cannot use the basketball court. Unavailable 60-70% of the time to use. Attaching a picture for the reader to judge for themselves. Camp is over? Birthday party. No birthday party? Then its a league game (this one was not as bothersome before as they had the second court and it was not typically the entire day). I understand the need to increase revenue but at this point, this location is milking their members for quality that is worsening with each passing day. The reason this gym also went downhill is because of the influx of those who were going to Syosset and changed because the quality was also going down. I would venture to say Syosset is now the better location. If you have time, checkout Life Time Harrison or Life Time Dumbo. Drastic difference in quality. I hope corporate management changes their tune but its more likely that this facility will continue to increase prices and let the place deteriorate until they close down. Its really a shame. I suggested Pilates to a friend who was looking to increase flexibility, and we chose Body in Balance LI because it was close to work. Susan set us up with duet sessions so we can work out together, and she accommodates our different needs and skill levels (as a newcomer and long(ish)-time practitioner) almost seamlessly. Her instructions are easy to follow and her tactile feedback is immensely helpful. I recommend Body in Balance LI for both someone who's been practicing for a long time and someone newly interested in Pilates.

I try to go during non-peak hours but even then... they could really use more machines. The bathrooms are okay, or the cleanest but expected for a public area I'd think. Initially, they said they did not honor One Pass even though they were still enrolled with One Pass and listed as a participating studio. After I contacted One Pass and this location received a call from One Pass, they reluctantly allowed me to take the 4 classes per month for the fees I paid monthly to One Pass, as agreed. Last month, I received notice from this Club Pilates location indicating that they will no longer be participating with One Pass. Although this back and forth is off-putting, I took the 4 allotted classes each month. I found the classes mostly useful and appreciated that the space is clean and the instructors are pleasant. I will decide whether to sign up on my own or move to one of the other facilities further away from home that have opted to remain in the One Pass program. Based on some of the other reviews on Yelp, signing on for a membership at the East Meadow studio may unfortunately cause me more trouble than it's worth.
